Groupon sold Rosetta Stone lifetime all language access for 199. Rosetta Stone does not honor this purchase stating it is a program they no longer support and I would have to pay an extra 199 through them to access through Rosetta Stone. I notified Groupon they gave me the run around and pretended like I never made the purchase. Unable to get resolution and seeking legal advice now to get refunded the 199 that I paid for a defunct program. Groupon is a scam and is running a racket with this bs. I encourage anyone to file claims against Groupon for deals like this no matter how small. I will not utilize them from this point forward.

SCAM- have used in the past and have been very pleased but since the corona crisis they refuse to refund me $525 for a cabin rental! The cabin company had no problem refunding my money to me but Groupon customer service is a joke. I’ve even had family,friends and coworkers reaching out on twitter to help me get help but that still didn’t work. Contact your banks to start a dispute and let everyone know how this company reacts in a time of crisis!!!!!

If I could give zero stars I would!!! I will continue to review until the right thing is done!! This company and absolute and complete FRAUD! Don’t waste your time. Their customer service is absolutely disgusting. Firstly I had one abruptly end the conversation with me while trying to get my refund because he no longer wanted to help me, I had to then start the process all over again. Second person was just as unhelpful. They repeat the same nonsense over and over and listen to nothing you might have to say!! Secondly I had to wait days for a respond only for them get this to address me by another name that’s is not even me and to tell me the exact same thing that I already said is not a option for me! All they do is offer you Groupon money voucher back and not your actual money back! Even after explaining to them that I am South African in which they do not have Groupon in SA..... they still continue to only offer me a useless option of Groupon money. They have no concern or care for their customers and they provide no such guarantee on the services that you purchase. Literally just a gamble with your money. If a service is not provided one should have full right to their MONEY back and not Groupon keeping people’s money in return for Groupon Money! That is absolute Theft!

Ordered a BBQ, 6 days later the order hadn't been updated and had received no communication so chased them to be told the order couldn't be fulfilled and if I wish they would credit my account but only with 'Groupon Credits', they refuse to refund the funds to my bank card. Under Consumer rights this is illegally and extremely bad practice. I will of course be taking the matter further and reporting them to the Consumer Ombudsman. From what I've read on their Facebook community and elsewhere this seems to be their normal illegal practice. Therefore, I strongly advise against giving your hard earned coin to this sham of a business!

PLEASE DONT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY. THE WILL SEND YOU INVALID TRACKING NUMBER AND YOU HAVE TO WAIT A WHOLE MONTH FOR A DELIVER THAT MIGHT NEVER COME.

This company is committing fraud please whatever you do never put your credit card information and keep it on your profile. They will charge on your card and then send you nothing when you didn’t order anything. I had order dresses With wrong colors and they was used and worn smelled really bad still outside getting wait. Then my stand came for my phone it broken and bend. They Haven’t send my fishermen hat mask But took my money and nothing. I took all my information off this site and the bad thing about it consumer services just as bad as the seller who is seeking these wormed and used products during this time of the virus. Services has gone downhill. They would take your money out your account and the tell you they can’t give it back when you ordered nothing. They are committing FRAUD against customers credit card. And send merchandise that is used and worn with smell really bad. Contact them and they tell you we will give you a bucks on Groupon why would i want to order anything else from this company and they have already scammed customers.

I exchanged 18 email yesterday and today for return Defective item need to be return. I’m not sure how many people working on this all asking same questions over and over again. This is getting really frustrated with Groupon. It so bad.

Absolute con. Groupon refusing to give refunds cos of cancellation due to corona virus. Offering vouchers which is illegal. Then claiming cant find details of account or emails sent . Then informing is that now its too late as voucher has expired. We have been trying to resolve this since corona virus started. We have no choice but cancel as all hotels have closed down while in lock down. TERRIBLE DO NOT PAY GROUPON ANYTHING . We CERTAINLY WONT BE FROM NOW ON NOR RECOMMENDING TO ANYONE . .

Ordered toilet rolls , they came afer a long wait what I received was a total scam . Twelve toilet rolls can fit in a small shoe box I paid over £15 for dolls house size toilet rolls. This is disgusting at a time of world crises ripping of vulnerable people. I am old disabled and vulnerable unable to leave the house so was desperate after hearing about the shortages. I will never shop with groupon again I don't want vouchers I need my money back so I can shop with honest people

I booked 5 tickets to go to the circus spending just over £50 and when the covid-19 struck, Groupon stated in writing underneath the advert that if the event is cancelled outside the merchants control I would get a full refund. I asked 3 different representatives for my refund and was told no. Also one particular man was very rude on Groupon chat. I have gone to consumer rights and have just today noticed that Groupon have removed thier statement to offer refunds for this event. I am furious at Groupon and feel cheated, the fact that they don't have a customer care telephone line tells me they don't care. I have also previously recieved faulty digital based ITEMS and it was very hard and frustrating to get a refund. I STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO AVOID.

They don't give refunds like they say, groupon credit is not what I signed up for but that's what they give. The contract said REFUND!!!

I purchased a nights stay back in Jan2020 for the 18th April for my mums birthday. With the on-going pandemic I fall under the high risk category so advised groupon I don't know when i will able to travel as atm im not even allowed to leave my house so I asked them for a full refund (as the hotel is closed as well). Groupon advised that if i get a confirmation from the hotel that i haven't used my stay I can have a full refund. I contacted the hotel and got something in writing to confirm it hadn't been used to which they advised they are happy for me to have a full refund. I forwarded this to Groupon and then didn't hear from them for a week. After I chased up my refund Groupon then advised that things have changed and i can have Groupon credits only. I have now been aruging with them for 2 weeks as they agreed my refund in monies then decided to change their mind. This is the first time I have used this company and I will definitely not be using them again.. There should be an option for 0 stars and 1 star is too generous.

DO NOT BOOK A TRIP!! I ordered a Groupon for a hotel stay that was to happen on April 24th through the 26th of 2020. I purchased this group on on May 4th 2020. When I originally purchased this group on the confirmation from the Groupon and the hotel said that as long as I canceled within nine days of the reservation I would receive a full refund. Because of the Corona virus my reservation was canceled by not only the hotel but by Groupon. The hotel issued me an email saying they were going to refund the amount to my payment. If I did not do anything by April 2nd it would be automatically refunded. Today April 3rd 2020, I received an email saying that the refund had not been issued to my form of payment, that instead Groupon had decided because of the Corona virus situation, that they were doing all refunds in the form of Groupon bucks. Groupon bucks can only be used to purchase things from Groupon and nothing else. I contacted Groupon and told them I did not want Groupon bucks. This reservation was for a birthday party obviously we will now have to do something else for this and have no intention of going to the hotel. Groupons response was that during the Corona virus they will only issue refunds to Groupon bucks and nothing else. I'd ask them for a refund again through another customer service agent and again explained that I never chose to get Groupon bucks and then I did not want to use any Groupon services. This was well within the cancellation period that was given to me initially when I made the reservation. Again they denied giving me the refund saying that they had already processed the refund into Groupon bucks and we're only doing that at this time.

DO NOT BOOK HOTELS THRU GROUPON! They will charge you and the hotel will charge you separately! They do not process the funds to the hotel, it appears that they keep them! You will be charged twice! It is also very difficult/ nearly impossible to speak with someone! They take days to respond to emails and then do not assist you! Use any other site, but Groupon!

Groupon’s present stance regarding refunds is deceitful and insulting, being little short of embezzlement. The company has lost my trust. I had a Groupon Getaway deal with a 3-day cancellation clause entitling me to a full refund. Fifteen days before I was due to visit the hotel, I contacted Groupon using their on-line chat service and cancelled the booking, with a request for a refund to my credit card. The Groupon representative processed this for me but advised that it may take several days to reach my account. This did not seem too unreasonable, but after 13 days I was getting anxious as no refund had materialised. I had to start afresh with a new on-line chat to find out what was happening. My anxiety soon turned to irritation when I was told that the booking had not, in fact, been cancelled. All they were willing to do at this stage was to give me Groupon Credits - they were not issuing any cash refunds anymore because they needed to "protect the merchants during 'these difficult times' because many are loyal small local businesses". What?!! How about looking after the interests of your loyal customers? {Sorry mate, you can’t have your money back – we’ll hang onto it so that you can exchange it for some tat off our website instead}.

I order my parcel on February 4 and sent number of message to say I hadn’t received it by the end of February I then asked to resend which I still never received. Emailed them again in March n now April And now They are saying I can’t have a refund just credits, it’s an absolute joke why would I want to buy anything else on ur site when they don’t arrive !!

Me and my friends booked a hotel in New York City for a weekend in April before the Covid-19 pandemic. After NY announced a state of emergency/stay-at-home order, we contacted Groupon to let them know we will be cancelling our hotel reservation. They let us know that we needed to contact the merchant (hotel) to see if they will honor the refund which they were happy to honor given NY’s current state. After informing Groupon that the hotel was ok with refunding us, they then asked us to instead move our dates. After many back and forth emails with Groupon, they went back on their original word and refused to give any type of refund or credit because ‘we had exceeded the window in which this could be processed’ after 3 weeks of communication with their customer service team. Their only solution was to move our dates knowing that we are completely unsure of when it will be safe to travel to New York in the foreseeable future. It was completely disappointing that Groupon was unwilling to work with their customers during an already confusing and difficult time. Even after the hotel was willing to work with us and agreed to provide a refund, Groupon was contradictory in their word. The inconsistency in the customer service was not only confusing but extremely frustrating. It is very likely that I will never be using Groupon again and especially to book any hotels.
