“So back in January I purchased a Groupon specifically for my upcoming destination wedding ... a trip that is obviously cancelled now.
On top of the heartbreaking reality that I’m losing my dream wedding, Groupon refuses to refund my purchase even tho the business is closed and won’t reopen before my wedding... I paid in cash but now am being offered groupon bucks as an alternative. This is a disgusting example of companies profiting off the losses of people due to COVID-19
Shame on you Groupon. You’ve lost a very good customer. I’ll never shop with you again and I’m sharing this experience all over social media.

“Very poor customer service. While I appreciate it is a very difficult time at the moment groupon would fair better actually dealing with peoples problems rather than ignoring/postponing/dismissing them. Item was supposed to arrive 8 days ago, it has been at my local Hermes (urgh) depot since that day. I assume it’s been stolen seeing as it’s toilet paper. Despite numerous emails groupon will not contact my local depot to find out what the issue is and now they are ignoring me so I can’t get a refund. Hopefully enough of these negative reviews left in various places on the internet may actually get them to do something.
Having used groupon for many years they will only be a last resort for me now, at least amazon are helpful.”

“Would like to leave zero stars but it won’t let me. I used to like groupon and got a good customer service in the past and funny enough I have had refunds in the past. I booked tickets for comedy store originally (I did re arrange the date) unfortunately the date I rearranged it for was when the corona virus hit so the comedy store was on lockdown. Groupon won’t give me a refund groupon says it’s the comedy stores rules but the comedy stores website has a notice about corona and says refund or credit are available. I have had refunds before from Groupon I don’t understand why this time it’s such a big issue!! I asked groupon if they could explain to me once they have taken there admin fee out where does the rest of my ticket money go as it doesn’t go to the venue. They could not explain. So I asked for a contact at the comedy store who agreed this deal so I could take it up with them and still no joy.”

9 days later I contacted them via chat.
I waited a couple of minutes to get a response, wereby they asked what the problem was. As I started to type, the rep sent another msg saying they were busy and that if I didn't respond immediately they'd end the chat???
Anyway, they informed that the item was out of stock and that I could have a refund.
My argument is that they should've refunded me automatically once they knew they could not fulfil my order.
Now I must wait for up to 7 working days for my refund. that will be up to 16 days of them sitting on my money!!
Poor customer service in the nonchalant way I was dealt with.

“Bought a voucher and booked online for a meal. Due to Covo 19 the restaurants were all shut and could not use it. The place is closed now. Got in contact with Groupon as it says it's been redeemed. According to them I need an email to confirm this how can I get that if the place is shut. Please don't buy from here in the near future as if something happens u will not get your money back. Terrible service”

“When we are told by the government not to travel Groupon still expect you to go on your holiday and as I am disabled and my mum elderly. I'm told I can't have my money back and nothing they can do. My holiday is Ato protected and told by foreign office not allowed to travel. When I said this to Groupon my chatted ended. “I am so tired of buying a groupon paying thru Paypal only to find taxes & shipping are added on after I paid. Also it can get so confusing trying to use your voucher once you have paid. I spent half a day today with no success as the company would not accept my voucher. I demanded a refund & closed my account. Not worth it!!!!!”
