“Staff in local Bedford branch are knowledgable and helpful and telephone/counter service is good. Website is frankly awful as the login normally fails multiple times and when I have already placed an order I regularly receive an email the following day saying items are still in my basket (when I have already collected them). On line chat doesn’t work as I can see position in queue go down but then do not get a response. Parts pricing is variable (batteries always more expensive than Halfords) and discount codes confusing. I thought I had signed up to have them automatically applied but they rarely are and then I have to hunt for one that works. A good company but plenty of opportunities for improvement. Thanks for the opportunity to tell you the above......when I mention it in branch they agree but cannot fix the issues.”

“I needed some brake pads for my car, looked them up and found them in stock at my local branch. Staff were friendly and helpful. My only concern is that it's cheaper to order on the internet than to call into the local branch. So I had to stand in the branch and order the parts online.. seems ridiculous.”

“General car parts are of good quality and, when a discount deal is available, very good value. Only grumble is the cost of car engine oil - so I have to shop elsewhere for oil instead of making GSF a one stop shop.”

“There is a guy at your Plymouth branch, I'd say mid to late 40's who is absolutely spot on, excellent at his job. I understand the online discount, it's a shame that the Plymouth team are unable to access it, as it's not always possible to order online when I am on the road. Need to have a word with your playful delivery team! All in all, well done GSF Plymouth”

“Bought a car battery but as the choice was so big I had to have a bit of help but I thought the fact that you entered your car reg was a good idea so that the most suitable batteries were shown. Very friendly service the lady at the counter even carried the battery to my car which I really appreciated .”

“Bought a Yuasa battery for an old car. Easy to find the right battery online from the measurements. Easy to reserve the battery for collection. Choice of battery at the branch - picked the best looking one. Quick, simple and a special price. Four stars because we've only had the battery a couple of weeks so reliability unknown.”
