No acknowledgment of my presence when I entered and waited too long to be seen. I counted only one or two other customers so they were hardly busy. When I was noticed the surly sales assistant didn’t give me a greeting or a smile or anything. Not a good first impression and I’ve bought jewellery online from their website. Preferable really as the lady I encountered was offhand like it was too much effort to practise good customer service and she just couldn’t be bothered quite frankly. Rubbish customer care and just an unfriendly vibe - took my custom elsewhere to a different jewellers where they were really pleasant and helpful so they had my £200 customs, not H Samuels. I’ll never go there again.

H Samuel service is apalling, stay away! I have ordered a necklace the 31st of October as it was at a discount, therefore I bought an unrefundable gift card to pay for it. 5 days later I receive an email stating that the necklace is out of stock therefore they will be cancelling my order and refunding my money back (I had bought the unrefundable gift card for this necklace in specific, therefore I would be stuck with a gift card that I did not want). I went on their website to see that they still had the necklace in stock, just at more than double the price I had bought it! A week after the purchase and I'm still having to deal with H Samuel to solve this issue!, they have mentioned they would give me price match guarantee just that I need to repurchase the necklace at full price, which I did and now they are saying that I have to wait a week, until the item arrives, to get my money back (which is more than double of what I have paid for the necklace originally!). I absolutely do not recommend, will not be shopping here again.

I orderd something that was in stock, bought and paid for almost a week later you said you could not fulfill my order was out of stock but it was online. If my second order arrives to day I will repost a positive review, Kind regards Thomas davies 64 Peverel Road Cambridge Cb5 8rh

My husband bought me an expensive gold necklace Xmas 2019. Due to not going out over lock down I have hardly worn the necklace. A few weeks ago we were on holiday & I took the necklace with me only to notice that it was sort of fraying near the clasp. The necklace has always been stored flat in the original box it came in. I took back to Samuel's & to be honest the girls in the shop were not very friendly at all. Never smiled once. I was told I would have to pay for a repair which I refused so then was told it could be sent off to see if it was a manufacturers fault or wear & tear . For something that cost so much & has only been worn maybe half a dozen times only for an evening, it is definitely not wear & tear. It has been 4 weeks now & I have phoned the shop twice then someone rang me this week to say it is still being looked at. I have lots of jewellery & each piece is well looked after. I am expecting them to say I have to pay for repairs which u certainly won't be doing. For such a big jewellers I think their customer service is quite appalling. Will not shop here again

Ordered an engagement ring online, ring was delivered on time and was lovely. However it was too small. Went into the Bury store on sunday and was told they would order a larger size on Monday and it would be delivered Tuesday. There was an extra £10.20 to pay which I was told to pay when I collected the ring. Received a phone call Monday morning asking me to go into the store to pay £10.20 before they could order it. Went to the store, gave the lady my ring for exchange and my receipt. She then tells me the larger size is now no longer in stock. To cut a long story short, she called the manager over who needs a lesson in customer service. He looked at me like I was something on his shoe. He asked me if I wanted a refund, to which I said yes. He then asks me for the ring and my receipt. I told him they had it. He said they didn't and the lady I gave it to said she hadn't seen my ring. He was speaking to me like I was an idiot so I said to him, do not speak to me like I am an idiot and he said he wasn't (HE ABSOLUTELY WAS) he told me to check my bag, I said no, you have the ring and the receipt. He said they definitely did not. They started looking and eventually found the ring. No apology for saying I hadn't given it to them. He then asks for my receipt, I told him you already have it. Again they eventually found it but no apology. I left the shop so upset and angry. Never had such disgusting service. I will NEVER shop there again. I am putting in a complaint to head office as the staff were terrible and the manager needs a new vocation that's doesn't involve customer contact. Rude beyond belief and shocking service

I paid for a watch for my grandaughters birthday and was told it would be here within the week. after 10 days of waiting i rang the store and was told it had been cancelled no one had contacted me at all to ell me. when asking for a refund they said they couldnt as my bank card i paid with had been changed due to someone using my bank and i had to have new card. So therefore i had no watch or refund. Shocking service will not buy from the fareham branch again

I have sent a complaint to customer services team on behalf of my mother and received zero response. My mum put her watch in yo the Chichester branch last October and is still trying to resolve the issue of the watch going missing and subsequently a replacement. My mum has called the store almost weekly and visited the store many many times over the last year to try to resolve the issue. Shockingly, poor service, no accountability and still unresolved..waiting for a watch to come back on to stock!

I have been a regular customer of H.Samuels for the better part of the last 2 years or so. They have been my go to place for good deals on entry level watches and jewelry gift items but today, I got to see a horrible side of them. I ordered a Seiko 5 Sports watch, reference number SNKD97K1 a week ago. The timepiece was on a great deal, with all the discounts I placed the order for £68, the lowest I have ever seen for this watch. Naturally, the product was in high demand and it was getting in and out of stock every day or so. A week later, today, when I was due to receive the watch, I felt suspicious of the fact that I hadn't received any text/emails from DX deliveries, (their postage provider) and so I gave their customer services a call. To my utter shock, it was then that the customer rep informs me that the product is out of stock and the order was cancelled! I mean, I placed the order a week ago and now they are telling me that the product was out of stock!?!!?? Upon further inquiry, the rep explained that their website does not show updated stock info. I could even see on my H.Samuels account that the product was Dispatched and was "In Transit" but the rep said it was wrong info displayed from their system and while I was on the phone they updated the order status to cancelled. In terms of compensation, all they could offer was me to look for any other alternative of the same price on their website, which was impossible they recently had a huge sale and most of the mechanical/automatic timepieces were already sold by now! I feel cheated, misled and extremely disappointed at such callous behaviour from a company with recognition and reputation of H.Samuels! It's not the case that I didn't get the watch I wanted, but the way they handled the situation that is particularly unacceptable to me. They could've given me a voucher to use later for the same or equivalent product later or they could've just raised a ticket to send the product whenever it gets in stock later. But they did none of that, just shrugged their shoulders and asked me to move on, after keeping me waiting for 1 whole week! If they had told me this earlier, I could've even gone for a Fossil me3102, a mechanical watch with comparable price and (a little less desirable) specs. But they didn't! They have surely lost a loyal customer in me and several others whom I know as this kind of "promising more than you can handle" attitude is reminiscent of scams and I will no longer suggest H.Samuels to anyone I know.

All happy to help when buying but when you go back the aftercare is terrible. Was told the repair would take up to 4 weeks but they normally come in 2. My fiancé rang up and the woman was so rude and said “well what’s your collection date?” I’ve rang today on the 4 week mark after not receiving a text. Rang 9 times with no answer! Appalling

I've purchased a watch on line which I never received. Contacted customer service nearly every day during a week to find out what's happening with my order. A few times was advised to chase the delivery company. I did, but no results. When contacted the H.Samuel customers service team to ask for refund, was told that they can't do it as the order number I have it's under someone else's name?!!! Its a total nonsense! Terrible experience! Rude ,unprofessional and totally useless staff . Please be aware of purchasing any goods with this company!

Ordered watch online, did not arrive, their online chat eventually told me it was out of stock. Give them their due when I rang customer services they did arrange a transfer from another shop to my local one but.... they never bothered to contact me to tell me they had it. So to recap twelve days on, I've just had to walk a mile and a half in the pouring rain to collect a watch that had free delivery and was more expensive, from a shop who didn't know why they had it! Absolutely appalling, avoid at all costs

Staff incompetent had to keep pushing for my repair to be completed it took 5 week to fit a Diesel watch strap on collection it was fitted the wrong way round (simple job) a fool could complete worst ever company stay well clear and dont trust them with your jewellery

You get what you pay for with this jewellers....they sell complete rubbish. Faulty catches on necklaces, stones falling out of rings, metal going off colour and tarnished. No interest in repairing faulty goods which shouldn't be faulty after such a short time after purchase. Keep your money in your pocket and use a reputable, upmarket jewellers, and not this shower of budget brand cowboys.

Collected new watch ,which I had to order On getting home discovered it’s needs anew battery.Very disappointed. Very poor experience.Would never use again

Appalling customer services, the bangle brought for wasn’t fit for purpose, wouldn’t waste my money with this company, £220 Down the drain and a not a ounce of care from ThemAt all. Scrapped the bangle for stupid money!! Thanks !! I Wont recommend you to anyone .. poor workmanship for the cost of you tatt

I ordered a bracelet and a few days later received an email to say the order has been cancelled. I called trying to sort this problem and was told it was out of stock and was showing in stock on online. I then ordered another bracelet and again the same thing happened a few days later. Another email saying it had been cancelled. By this point I was annoyed as this was supposed to be a gift and now very close to the event I had nothing. Very badly arranged online service, won't be shopping from here again. Can't rely on the delivery from here.
