"BUYER BEWARE! Be careful buying tools from Harbor Freight. They have initiated a ridiculous return policy for defective tool. I bought a Pop Rivet Gun Air Model. It tells you to fill with Hydraulic Fluid. It took 2 people and a vise to open the casing and 30 minutes. Filled it up and closed it. After hooking up the air, it shot the fluid all over my shirt, pants, & part I was working on along with the floor. Not Good. Then I figured out they shorted me the smaller 1\/8\" tip. So when I went to return it, I was told I could only exchange it for another one. so to check it out, the 27 year old manager tried to open the lower filler cap and could not get the cap off another brand new one. I explained that I had been shorted the smaller 1\/8\" tip. We verified that. I asked what was he going to do about the spraying fluid since the gun was identical. I told him I would need to drive 20 minutes back and if it didn't work, then 20 minutes back again each way. By again, even the bottom could not be opened, especially for me at 65 years old. He just shrugged his shoulders. I said I just wanted my money back sine he couldn't supply me a working one. He told me there is now still a 20% restocking fee, even though it can't be restocked. That's $14 of my hard earned money. He would not overwrite that. So I spent over an hour calling corporate only to have them tell me they were going to continue this foolish practice of stealing my money. Then after refusing and asking for a full refund they said they could only give me a gift card for the 20% to go buy more garbage in the store and maybe have another restock fee. I told them if you go to Costco, Walmart, Amazon, etc, they have no questions asked returns, especially when the item is defective and have no alternative. What I want them to answer is \"ARE THEY REALLY GOING TO RESTOCK THIS ITEM EVEN THOUGH IT DON'T WORK? And then sell more of them to some other sucker. I will be returning to the store 1 more time to cancel my membership and get a refund on that. And hopefully not have a 20% restock on that return? I've have been shopping there since they first opened their first stores in California many many years ago. PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE BUYING THINGS FROM HARBOR FREIGHT UNTIL THEY CHANGE THEIR WAYS! I am going to do a charge back for the $14 they stole from me. I will not use that stupid $14 gift card. I'll let Citibank deal with that. Money is tight and I have to work many hours to get that money just for them to steal it. THEY DON'T DESERVE MY BUSINESS OR YOURS.\r\nI have included the receipts for you to see."

“Harbor Freight advertises how they have quality products and tools. I find the quality of there products are low end and they are only interested in extended warranties. I purchased a Viking compact power pack for jump starting my car. The unit is a joke! The unit never held a charge. The lithium battery is garbage. I kept charging it and when. I needed, it was dead as a door nail. I purchased a second unit and the same mode happened and when I just brought it to the store, they said warranty is 90 days and since I did not take out extended warranty I could buy the new model. What good is a unit that cannot last with a lithium battery. I have bought a number of brands of high end tools, my experience is Harbor Freight tools are low end junk”

“I bought a 4375 predator geni in February 2023. I hate to say this b/c of the value price should rise as a result. I ran that geni everyday until April of 2025. Everyday not one day missed. I only took it back b/c something broke I couldn't fix without a mechanic which the warranty covered. I changed the oil every month. Broke the pull strong once. Had to do a tune up twice. That's all. I might be a lucky customer but I give em a 5 out of 5 for dependability, warranty , and service with no hassle. Great place gone there for over 20 years and enjoy it everytime I'm there. It's like the toy store for adults. Thanks harbor freight”

“Won't stop sending emails. I tried to unsubscribe but it puts me to another application to receive even MORE "promotions". I emailed them and told them to stop the emails and they escalated them! Email harassment and stalking.”

“Yesterday I was in my garage cleaning up. As I looked through shelves I saw a non functional nailer, several volt meters, solar motion light, flat tire, drill, etc. They broke after brief use. I called their customer service and asked if I could bring them back and exchange for a gift card to spend at their store. Response was a resounding NO. Their items are made very cheaply and if I buy, I use coupons.”

“We’ve been using Harbor Freight tools and equipment at the shop for quite some time. Their air impacts (4 currently in service), the premium top tier jacks(7 currently in service,1 has failed) and hand held cordless tools(12 currently in service) have impressed me with their power, durability, reliability and price. The impact tools and cordless tools have a 90 day warranty and you can purchase additional warranty at time of purchase. No issue here, it’s all up front, plain as day. Meanwhile the Dayton premium quality jack has a 3 year warranty. It’s in the owners manual and printed information. I’d swear I’ve turned one in once during the warranty period and had it replaced with on issue. UNTIL THIS MORNING. I took one that no longer works for replacement. Oh no, direct replacement at the store is only covered for 90 days, after that it’s a manufacturer warranty and you must deal directly with their office in CA. I can imagine how that’s going to work out.”

“Harbor Freight Tools have come a long way. I have been impressed with the quality as of late. For instance I just purchased the Grant's 5pc Power Drill Brush Detailng Kit for only $7.99. I already own multiple 3 pc Drill Brush Power Scrubber sets that go for $18.95. & a comperable Drill Brush 5pc set is $27.99. Bottom line... I can't tell the difference in the quality of the Grants and the Power Brush sets.”

“I had to take back an item that did not work and because I did not wanna upgrade they charge a 25% restocking fee After I purchased this item less than 24 hours prior .. I will never ever walk foot on their property again”
