The flooring has been a disaster. I have been given the brush off and am stuck with not only the initial costs but also the cost to have the flooring removed and disposed of. Harrisons have NOT lived up to their 100% satisfaction guarantee at all. Totally disappointed and would definitely NOT recommend to anyone.

I am aware that the suppliers have been out to your home to assess the issues that you were concerned about. We got new carpet installed and the first night it was very cold and felt wet and damp to walk on with Sox. We have had a dehumidifier going in every room and are getting 2 cup fulls of water throughout the house plus opening all doors and windows every day and also a fire going . It reaks of musky wet smell. Our old carpet was down for 50 years and didn't smell like this. We are burning fragrance oils to disguise the smell but you can still smell the stench when they go out. Very disappointed with the product

Hi, I have spoken to the Business owner and believe that she has offered multiple times to come out and assess the carpet and bring the manufacturers but you have declined her visit on numerous occassions. Kind regards, Customer Care

Had to wait for nine months and change my choice three times because my choice was unavailable after waiting for three months each time, then the vinyl had a manufacture fault and the carpet had to be re fitted by another workman after the job was not done properly by the first guy.

Hi Mabel and Patrick, Thank you for taking the time to send in a review. I am sincerely sorry that there were delays with your product and that you needed to make changes to your choices. New Zealand continues to have issues Nationwide and across all industries with supply and demand. To hear that you then had to deal with a product fault and some install issues is extremely disappointing. Harrisons of North Shore talked a very good game and Rob was very professional in the sales period. They were honest and open about costs we could expect. However, it all falls apart when it comes to the fitting. The fitting was badly done - joins in the middle of rooms, creases everywhere (the website is not letting me upload the pictures). A whole section of carpet had to be completely ripped up and reinstalled. However, as they have our money already they lost interest in completing the job properly. 9 months later and many promises of fitters coming to sort it out and still not sorted. Will have to accept that we will have to get someone else in to fix it all. As Harrisons rely on third party fitters you are at their whim if it all goes wrong and Harrisons won't chase to complete the works. Use at your own risk.

Terrible customer service, disrespectful, leave the house a tip and they will damage the paint on your walls and skirting boards. Management don’t care if you have photographs of damage and wont offer any resolution for the damages caused by their fitters.

If there was a zero rating this would have been my choice, as the Southland franchise holder provided zero help. He was apparently too busy to respond to my email and when I recontacted the Auckland base to let them know they got him to ring. He said he was too busy to help. Irereang the Auckland base but they just said he was too busy. Not a great experience.

Unfortunately we had an awful experience with the flooring installer we got. His work was rough and he was super unreliable. So much so we ended up asking if a different installer could help complete and fix the job, the second guy we got was very good and if we had had him the first time this review may have been different. After weeks of waiting for the job to be completed it was finally completed on the last day of the financial year and we were asked to settle the account that day.

Poor customer service, issues left to me as the client to resolve with the carpet supplier directly. Took many months of following up by me to get to a point of resolution. That should have been left by Harrisons but it was not.

We had carpet laid in October 2020 and it was poorly installed. Carpet is fraying and lifting along most edges. In some cases the carpet has lifted completely eg in bedroom doorways and along walls. We contacted Harrisons North Shore in July 2022 asking for advice and how to fix but the email was ignored. No response whatsoever. I would definitely NOT recommend Harrisons Carpet & Flooring to anyone. Poor workmanship and no ownership when there are issues. Very disappointing, especially given the cost of the installation

Carpet had multiple faults within two years (top of the carpet has separated from the bottom) and the Feltex insurance guy refused to replace, they only wanted to continue to fix the carpet even though it had frayed at the joins from being fixed multiple times. I had to chase them and call head office to get anyone to listen - finally got replaced but was a huge un nessecary fight. Franchisee did what he could as did the installer.

Harrison's has a price guarantee for competitors but if they drop the price within 7 days of your payment they do not back themselves by handing on that discount. In other words they do not back themselves like other firms do .

would never use them again, paid $6k for a 70 sq mt home, nylon carpet, but within a month it looks 20 years old, lumps on the joins, and that was with a so called discount!, had flooring extra around, they can do a far better carpet for $4700!

We are unfortunately really unhappy about our experience. To discover faulty carpet having been laid on the first day, it then took approximately four months for this to be resolved and the carpet finally replaced. This is too long and we had to then move in an out of our house twice with no compensation or support for this.

Extremely poor coms. All communication stopped as soon as I queried the Seven Sharp viewers discount. It became evident they did not want to honour an advertised discount, so the owner opted to just not respond after multiple attempts to contact. Ended up delaying my build and having to source elsewhere. Provided feedback to head office, they said they would get the owner to make contact. They didn’t.

Requested a price 5 weeks ago, told Amanda would be in touch, waited over 2 weeks, followed up told another message would be sent through 3 weeks later still heard nothing. Visited carpet court today who gave me a price, I accepted the price and the carpet will be installed in 3 weeks. If you want service suggest you visit Carpet court!

The manufacturers had advised us that there was going to be a further 2-week delay, on a 3-week lead time that was intially anticipated on your product.
