I wouldn't say the training is awful but the one I did (Harassment) is largely common sense and deeply embedded when you've done this about 15 times as I have. There should be an option to simply do a refresher exam - skip the long speaking parts and crack on - it consumes a chunk of useful time.

Very repetitive, delivered in a boring style. Probably more suitable for larger firms.

Bureaucratic Profiteering. Questionnaire has multiple viable answers but only one is accepted as correct. This is not educational; this is oppressive for the sake of money.

Jargon, ambiguous questions. Didn't like the amount of foreigners in the thumbnails, like watching ads on TV.

I selected the right answer but it registered it as wrong. The main issue with this is that even if the answer is wrong, you don't get told what the correct answer is. This is a missed opportunity to learn from your mistakes.

Hi Phil, Thank you for your review and feedback! The reason we don’t show the correct answer if you have answered a question incorrectly is that we want to encourage our learners to recap the areas where they went wrong to ensure they fully understand the material. You can also take the end assessment as many times as you like at no extra cost. I will definitely pass this feedback on though to see if it is something we can look at for the future. Many thanks! It was easy to use and the speaking voice was clear. It was good that you could choose the speed of delivery, or turn off the voice altogether, although the type face was a bit pale and in part very small and therefore difficult to read without constantly enlarging it. BUT How much learning did I actually do? Just enough to pass the test (which of course was the aim, and was achieved) but what should I really be learning? How long will I remember it and make sure I do it? It was dreadfully boring and I could have left half of it out. I did find out a few surprising facts. I feel there could be far more interesting resources. Little videos of pests in action, photos of their eggs and droppings, that sort of thing. When you do the hand washing bit send the student off to wash their hands. Get them to put on gloves and wash their hands with the gloves on. Tell them to go to the fridge or freezer and see what temperature setting it is on. In other words make it into active learning. Use IT to greater effect - a short video of a (pretend) kitchen in use where the student has to spot 6 malpractices. Make it fun and memorable. You could save lives if your students really learn effectively. I have no idea what lupin flour is. Crustacean is a difficult word - show some pictures of a variety of crustaceans, which, guessing I assume includes lobsters, crabs, shrimps - is it anything which lives in the sea with a hard skin? What about things like squid?? A bit of role play or video of waiters having discussions with customers about allergens wouldn’t come amiss. It would have helped me to have more quiz questions as you go along. But summarising my comments: to make it into real long term learning including changing mindsets to make your learners feel it is really , morally, important to know and follow the guidelines make it more INTERACTIVE, more fun, more exciting, use IT potential to the full. I have written this straight away. Not expecting a delivery only receipt of the certificate

Only the first two modules are useful as they cover the legal requirements to set up a food business, but even these do not go in-depth, and instead reference other paid courses by the provider. The last few modules are about social media strategy and business plan - there are 1000s of resources out there that are much better, and free. It's not worth the £30 + VAT. (I took the Hygiene & Safety Level 2 Training prior, which I do recommend).

Not good. STRESSED. You are very crafty with some of yours questions. To lots of us the English language is not native language. And when you fail the exam, you make us to retake whole exam again instead of retake / correct the wrong answers. And by doing so you are making us very STRESSED!!! We are not anymore in the school, please remember that ! Courses are too long also too boring. It should be simplified and direct..... "black and white" Thank you for your understanding and hope that in the future you will make courses easier, simpler and less time consuming as all of us working adults have work to do and more important things to do in the life, than wasting a precious time on stuff like this. Regards M

Hello Louise, Thank you for your review and your feedback, we really appreciate it! I’m sorry to hear that you felt the course was too long. The course is a very in depth course and covers a lot of necessary topics in order to ensure that the learner has met the UK and EU legal requirements. The course can be spread out over several sessions, and doesn’t have to be completed in one go which may help in terms of the length of the course! If you need anything else, please don't hesitate to contact us directly. All the best! Nicola, (Customer Support, High Speed Training)

High speed training or fast training ticking boxes on some topics that need careful handling, understanding, sensitivity and discussion such as Mental Health or other Health and Safety topics is not desirable. Someone can have a certificate but actually don't have any understanding or application of the topic. This should be termed introductory.

for none management workers it seemed a little over complicated and the important info was lost among technical data dates etc , also wording of some of the questions was a little ambiguous , there are still some people who feel uncomfortable using computers and therefore would struggle to learn anything with any computer based course

Too long, which ironically was one of the don'ts. The section on what you can do on making employees aware, is not relevant to employees and is directed to the employer
