Teacher discount.... don't bother! Went to Hobby Lobby in Manchester, NH to buy glitter to make calming jars with my students (used to have glitter but it was misplaced when I moved classrooms this year and I didn't realize until last minute). Asked for their very small 10% teacher discount. Had my teacher ID and could have shown this week's pay stub... nope, doesn't matter. You can't get the discount unless paying with a check or credit card that has the school's name on it (a teacher will almost never, ever have either of these). I do a lot of nice things for my students and pay out of my own pocket... and will never go to Hobby Lobby again to buy supplies. I'll go to Michael's that has a bigger teacher discount and accepts my teacher ID as verification. It's basically lying when you claim to have a teacher discount but have rules that prevent teachers from using it.

I recently made a purchase at a hobby lobby in New Port Richey, Fl....I noticed the cashier was not wearing a mask....While I was there she told me that they put "poison" in the vaccine.......so obviously she was not vaccinated. I called corporate and asked them what their policy on employees wearing masks was...i was told they could not tell me. I then assured them that I would no longer be shopping in a store that allows unvaccinated personnel to work so closely to the public all day without wearing a mask. Shame on them.................

We went to Howthorne store to buy shadow box for our special piece of cloth that had an original hand message by legendary person. It was a surprise birthday gift for our friend. We believed that it'd be worth to wait for 5 days...but everything turned out to be nightmare by extremely rude and arrogant store manager Cassandra. When we went to the store on our way to friend's party (it was 2 days after store pick up date) we saw only empty shadow box on the floor without chef coat inside, no covering, no touch up frame work but just our name on it. We asked a framer where our coat was but framer told us that he didn't know this order. And he needs a lot of time to do this job and asked us to come back another day. So, we asked him to call a manager. We waited for 15 minutes until manager, Cassandra showed up. The first word she said was "Okay! unfortunately I don't know anything about that!" then "I don't know who took this order but I can't help you to finish our job before your party, you have to wait 2 or 3 hours more" Maybe you can go to Micheal and they can probably do faster". She's never said any polite words like " I wish I could do..." or "Is there anything I can help you with?", even "Sorry" word until I mentioned! Her voice was loud and high with power like hysterical teacher was talking and she blamed this case on her associates. She was kept telling us she didn't know about this. She didn't even care that she made a big moment with her voice at store. I think Hobby Lobby assigned definitely wrong person as a manager. My husband and I both work at service industry over 20 years and she was the worst manager we ever met. I hope this post will encourage someone who are victims like us. We'll report her attitude to head office, too as well as other social media. Additionaly, she was VERY KINDLY told us as below... We don't have to do the job for you if you are not satisfied with our service! Our framers were not trained well that's why work is slow, our store was just opened two month ago and we don't have not enough associates, some of them didn't do the way I taught, you better to go to another store! Our order system was supposed to be like that...brah brah brah... We ended up showing a party 3 hours delay without birthday gift.

They have open cashiers and only one refund exchange line and allow customers to check out in that line. Then when I get up there the B walks away. I will use Michael’s instead or order online. Never again.

The store on Merle Hay Rd in Des Moines Ia. is always super busy but they can't seem to figure out they need more checkers. I asked the clerk to put my wall plaques back to back in the bag so they wouldn't get scratched, she replied that's not the right way and did it her way which I changed, not to mention she was very rude after I asked her to put them in the way I wanted. Then I get home and see I didn't get the discount on one of them so had to go back the next day. First thing she ask is if I brought the item back, I said no I don't wish to return it I want my discount. She called over a manager and she said I should bring the item back (I live about 25m away), I said you can see on the receipt I didn't get the sale price as those SKU #'s are the same, she implied that is not what they are and they have no way of knowing what that item was. Give me a break please, do you really think I'm that stupid! Then the manager goes on to say very loudly "refund her for the sale price, she's clearly upset about this so she can move on", really, where did you find these people they are clearly not customer friendly. I would have fired or wrote them up if they were my employee and treated customers with no respect like that! I will never go back to that store again. Just have to add this info. I was an interior decorator for 16 years so I think I know all about how items get damaged!

I would give this store a zero if I could. I ordered a big heavy mirror online because they didn't have it in the store. It came broke, is in pieces. It is heavy, and big. I took it to the Canton, Ga. location to return it and they said they can not take broken items. Now I'm stuck with trying to get this big, heavy item back to them after I've driven it back and forth from the store and home. Not not buy a big item online from this store, they are not standing behind their items!

They have a store full of metals that do not list the materials used on the packaging. A buyer has the right to know if the items are nickel free. This matters.

Went to the new store in Weaverville NC. Was six people away from cashier and this took 45 minutes. I realize the people are new but when questioned hobby lobby doesnt have scanners and doesnt intend to get them. They make these poor cashiers type in every scew number. Thats when I noticed several cashiers had double glasses on. I called a manager over to help our cashier pointing out the brace on my leg and she stated "I dont know what to tell you" by the time I left the store I was in tears. Told the girl handing out flyers it was to painful to come back she said she cried all day yesterday due to the stress of how this store runs its registers and how upset customers were. First time at a hobby lobby and when a store is ok reducing its employees as well as customers to tears they can have it! Horrible...

This is only based on the store manager at the Janesville store, he is not only unprofessional, but literally avoids customers, I frequent often and I never seen him smile or acknowledge customers, he is the worst I’ve ever seen in a Christian based store , get rid of him

Tonya is one of the the managers of the Lexington, SC store. She should NOT be able to have this position! I have witnessed on countless occasions, being that I am a frequent flyer, her chastising her employees! She is rude, condescending, disrespectful, talks down to them in front of customers, and is VERY unprofessional! I have on occasion asked for her assistance while shopping and she was very short with me and almost acted as if she were put out that she actually had to work instead of just walking around the store! I am a professional person and have employees under me and you do not treat people the way that she does. To be a manager or co- manager, you need to have people skills, be fair, respectful of others, no matter age, race, gender or religious! Tonya, you really ought to be ashamed of yourself!!! Michaela is GREAT!

I went into Hobby lobby today to make some purchases and I noticed a big section that was marked 50% off unfortunately for me I did not read the small print and coordinate it with the tags of the items that were on the shelf under the sign that stated 50% off. Why do you think it is OK to put a big sign labeling 50% off if it’s not 50% off? Consumers do not know to look at tags and line them up with a 50% off label and see if it’s table Decour or if it’s a gift item or holiday item we don’t know any of this therefore if it is in an area that is 50% off then we should get 50% off. You guys are ripping your customers off because you know the average customer will not ask to take an item off if they don’t have enough money to pay because it’s embarrassing how dare you do this to individual shopping at your stores. Trust me I will be on all social media platforms expressing how are you seal money from your consumers.

I have been shooed out of the store by an employee close to closing time, not able to finish shopping. And today I stood in line waiting to make a return only to find out after 5 minutes that returns in lane 1 only. I was in lane 2. Last time I was sent to lane 10 to make returns. POS employee said it was new policy. And he stood there with no customers while I went to lane 1 and waited 5 more minutes until it was my turn. What could be the purpose of this Totally un-customer service experience? I can’t imagine any reason I would go back here when customers are not Valued or appreciated.

I am a teacher and went to Hobby Lobby to buy some school supplies Such as bulletin board paper, poster board paper and others things that are not supplied for me at my school. I ask if they gave teacher discount he said yes with a school credit card or check from school. I laughed! 99% of the teachers buy their own supplies at some point during the year. My school doesn’t buy any of my supplies for decorating my classroom so I guess I will have to go somewhere else that appreciates teachers.

Hobby lobby in west mifflin ran by Tammy Christopher is they worst place to work at all the manager there does is walk around in discusting tight clothes and talk about the customers who bring back merchandise and her own enployee trhck day is on thursday but when the employee unload the boxes they break most of the produce before it hits the floor and they hide it in the broken glass bin so that upper management never see it then it is through on the trash. They expect you to unload tricks grap gum off of the floor ring register unpack boxes build shelves its unbareable they talk to you very disrespectful you run back and forth every ten minutes to ring customer out line ate unbareable Tammy has her favorite so if your not one of them forget it they don't train correctly and expect you to know what your doing. It a horrible place to work and she suck as a manager fine another place to work im tel you from experience.

Picture frames are still expensive even at half off. A 16x20 at $50 slashed in half is $25. That’s okay price but not that inexpensive either especially when you have to hassle quite a bit to figure out what hardware to put on the back so you can hang it. It’s not easy to do.

Iv never seen worse customer service in my life- so incredibly homophobic and racist.. The fact that anyone would still support and buy from this company is truly disappointing.

Our country has many beautiful people of all ethnicities, religions, genders, cultures, and communities, not just white Christian. But, unfortunately, hobby Lobby has now become a clique where only a few Americans are welcomed.

After shopping online for hours, every day for several days last week for my small business, my cart full of hundreds of items disappeared! When customer service said they retrieved it for me, I was pleased ... until it turned out to be an older cart so I had to cancel the whole order and was told I must start from scratch. I did that tonight, and the same thing happened: as I was checking out, my cart disappeared. Hobby Lobby needs to hire someone to address their website problems if it glitches out like this with a $350 order, and they must train their customer service reps to not throw up their hands and tell customers it’s on them, and they must try again. No, YOU must try better, Hobby Lobby!
