Hobby Lobby does not offer a decent paid adoption leave plan or adoption assistance program. This is the one company you would expect would care about saving children from bad living conditions and abuse... Example, employee adopting a baby getting ready to be born, but is out of state and will have an ncu stay due to parental drug use. Could be 2 weeks stuck out of state in a hospital before adopting parents can even come back to the home state with the child. Hobby Lobby expects the employee to use all of their vacations and sick time to cover this which may partially already have been used throughout the year so the adopting employee is stuck with no adoption assistance while off with the newborn child. Assistance is denied because the employee didnt actually give birth to the child....but the child still needs extra attention and care after birth whether the mother gave birth or adopted the newborn. Really only thing offered to parents (natural birth or adoption) is a little care basket. Out of all the companies my friends and family work for(state and federal government, retail, factory, construction, military, education, medical), Hobby Lobby provides the least benefits to their employees. And adoption assistance is something I would have expected a Christian company to really stand behind and promote. To my surprise and disappointment, it does not. Unreal...

I made a bulk order of chunky yarn. Two of the skeins that I received had cuts in the skein. One of the skeins had a raw detachment about halfway through the skein. The second skein had a knot that connected two raw ends. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT ACCEPTABLE. I doubt I actually got a FULL SKEIN with these two defective skeins. Hobby Lobby responded to my concern telling me that cuts in their skeins are bot considered to be defective but just the way they manufacture the yarn. Obviously really poor manufacturing. This is not the first time that i’ve been blown off by Hobby Lobby’s customer service. They never take responsibility for a customer’s issue. They just pass the buck. Michaels is looking like the better place to spend my money.

Great prices wonderful choices. For the love of goodness hire more staff to work the check out counter. People have 30 items vs those that have 2. Every single time I’m here there’s always an issue with price on items that people dispute

I recently had several pieces framed at the Midlothian store on Hull. I can not be happier with the results. Joi’s work is impeccable! I’m a designer who is very particular. I’ll be sure to spread the word to my colleagues! Hobby Lobby Midlothian is the place to go! Terri Johnson

Today I went to the one at Markam in Little Rock, Arkansas. I was buying 4 foam boards and 2 poster boards. The foam boards were $1.99 each. The price was not on the poster boards. So the cashier who was very nice asked another associate that had an IPad to look for the price. She couldn’t find the price and she just told the cashier to charge it at $3.50, which make no sense since the foam boards that were thicker were $1.99, so I told her I was going to go to find the price. Turns out that the poster boards were $0.99. If I would’ve accepted the price she gave without verifying, they would’ve charged me $5.00 extra dollars. It’s not the $5.00, it’s the fact that the associate did not go to find the correct price and instead she let me, the client, to go find the correct price. This only demonstrates how lazy she was. I left feeling very disappointed on their customer service.

I am disabled and went to the store in person. I could not find anything I saw online. Plus the aisles are too narrow for a wheelchair trying to pass another person. So I thought I would order online, but the shipping is outrageous with no options for free shipping. So I wanted to order online and have someone else pick up. But they don't have that option. Its too bad, because I really liked some things they carry. I guess I will just have to shop elsewhere.

I went into the Saverna Park MD store to purchase one item. After I had retrieved my item I went to the register was standing there for a few minutes when the cashier slammed her sign and said this is my last customer. You need to move. Okay..... So I moved to Josiah's register. The woman in front of me had a few items and paid cash. It Seemed to annoy him. He rang up my one item, told me my total. Nothing else. Just stared fwd. No thanks, no have a nice day... so i said you're welcome. He says just doing my job. I said , well , you could try a little harder. And left.

To critique West Allis - West Allis Towne Center’s Hobby Lobby employee ALISHA L, is to critique a Book, not merely a Sentence. I am Artist RoFo, a.k.a. FIRKINHEAD, as it pertains to my globally recognized RoFo BevDisHeadgear beverage dispensers. Over the years interacting with this specific cashier... I have come up with these observations about her. First, ALISHA L is always dressed appropriately in representing West Allis’ Hobby Lobby. She’s Very Customer-Centric and noticeably Pleasant at All Times as ALISHA L is in constant contact with us Customers. While she checks out my items, she simultaneously is extremely organized while interacting assisting your coworkers’ inquiries. ALISHA L keeps a professional poise at all times while Multitasking (being able to do several things at the same time. In some instances, she’s doubling as Sales Personnel, performing both jobs Simultaneously). I witnessed this with a purchaser in front of me at the cash register. ALISHA L has Adaptability (working in an environment that may deal with a lot of customer pressure). I give her a Lot-of-Credit for accommodating some customers’ unwarranted negative attitude displayed in public. I’m just stating ALISHA L; Cashier, is always at the Brunt of What Angry Customers’ Dish-Out to HER. Listening intently to customers and understanding what their predicaments entail’s a Very Important role as her as a Hobby Lobby Cashier. ALISHA L... “KUDOS” (praise and honor for your achievements) being a Vital... Frontline West Allis - West Allis Towne Center’s Hobby Lobby Employee and Representative. To put it BLUNTLY about Hobby Lobby Employee ALISHA L. 1. Sociability: She is people-oriented as she is in constant contact with customers. 2. Professionalism: She is keeping a professional poise at all times and knowing where to draw the line that is an important trait for her employed as a Hobby Lobby Cashier. 3. Trustworthiness: As a Hobby Lobby Cashier, she is trustworthy as she is responsible for a lot of cash. 4. Multitasking: As a Hobby Lobby Cashier, she is able to do several things at the same time. In some instances, As a Hobby Lobby Cashier, ALISHA L doubles as sales personnel, so she’s able to perform both jobs simultaneously. 5. Perceptiveness: She instinctively knows that it is important to know what is going on around her, especially when she is working in a retail environment. This way, when she comes across a potentially explosive situation, she knows how to handle it with tact. 6. Punctuality: As a Hobby Lobby Cashiers, she is punctual – there are no two ways about this. ALISHA L as a Hobby Lobby Employee depends on reporting to work on time so that staff schedules are not disturbed and customers are not affected as a result. 7. Adaptability: As a Hobby Lobby Cashier, she often has to work in environments that may see a lot of customer pressure. She demonstrates having adaptability so that she can assume any role at any given time. 8. Friendly: On most occasions, As a Hobby Lobby Cashier, she is the only person who communicates with customers, so she is by nature pleasant at all times. 9. Cash handling: As a Hobby Lobby Cashier, she manages a huge amount of cash and credit card transactions each day. ALISHA L knows how to handle both effectively. 10. Listening: As a Hobby Lobby Cashier, she is always at the brunt of what angry customers dish out to her. Listening intently to customers and understanding what their predicaments entail is very important in the role of As a Hobby Lobby Cashier.

Tonight I went into look for some plastic modeling beads. Two employees persistantly took 30-40 min helping me until they did. I want to thank them for their kindness.

All in all the Tennessee & Kentucky stores are acceptable stores to shop at. Generally staff is friendly and helpful, but not all the time. I have on a few occasions got the feeling “please hurry & get what you need, I don’t have the time/ patience to continue interacting with you”. Also, in BG, KY, I made the mistake of leaving items in my cart long enough to use the restroom. Returned to find my cart gone and my items sitting on the shelves (clearance shelves). Yes, it could have been another customer that did this, but there was an employee working in the area removing items from shelves in the nearby area. My biggest issue however is that since their biggest competitor, JoAnn’s closed, they have taken advantage of this with customers. It used to be fabric was 40% off every other week. That has become 30%. PATTERNS: No sale/ discount ever! Some patterns are $20 and more. Hey, newsflash: If I don’t buy a pattern there, why would k buy material? If I do buy a pattern, I’m likely to purchase my material there to make my project! Guess I can purchase the pattern online for much less & buy material on sales weeks. 🙂

I like the company as a whole, but the Indian Land, SC location is just rude and not customer friendly. On many occasions I’ve found the staff unhelpful and almost like they are running from customers searching for things. And if you are in an isle when they are restocking, forget it- you are invisible to them. Last, if you’re there near closing, their only priority is getting you out. They practically threw the receipt in my face before I was able to get my credit card back in my wallet.

I work down the street from this location and absolutely love it!! I went on break to get some things i need and when i went to check out i started putting my stuff on the counter to pay from my things and the person in front was giving me a dirty look and starting calling me rude because i was putting my items on the counter to be rang up I did say sorry even though i didn't do anything wrong she said i should say sorry for being rude and the man who was ringing us up (who I found out was the store manager) jump in stating the customer was being rude to me and the customer was disagreeing and he ask her respectfully to leave he store because she wouldn't and he said if she was going to be rude to the other customers she needed to leave and i truly appreciate him for defending me! definitely a amazing store manager

Sheri at the Huber Heights store in the framing department was just wonderful. She helped 2 people before me, and I watched how kind and knowledgeable she was. She cut a border for a frame I have while I waited! Great customer service!!

If I could give them no stars I would. Placed a sizable order and one of the packages of cut glass was broken open and all over the box and coming out the corners. I got approx 1/2 of the package after gathering up what I could. Sent an email and they wanted so much information it was stupid They had the invoice number and I told them the exact package that was broke open. Will never shop with them again. Other crafts stores had more integrity

Enjoy shopping Hobby Lobby. It is the only craft store in North Myrtle Beach. Disappointed that they charge extra for bags to carry merchandise.
