Went in today, 6/13/25, and a lot of the shelves were empty- like aisles and aisles. And there was Halloween and Christmas being put out! It’s only June!! And there were only 2 registers open and the lines were ridiculous. There should be summer items available and maybe put self checkouts in, since there was no cashiers.

I used to live in Shreveport, LA, and my experience with Hobby Lobby there was quite good. But I relocated to Dallas and for the past few months I have been going frequently to their newly opened store on Park Lane. Customer service is generally poor. The shop is understaffed and the staff are ineffective and not very courteous. As a matter of detail, much of my interactions have been with the framing department.

NEVER order online from them. They make returns not worth effort of cost. You have to fill out forms and mail it back yourself at your cost. The size of the box makes it ridiculously expensive as you CANNOT return to the store. Complete rip off. I will never buy anything from them again.

Great new Tribeca location.NYC needs a craft store that sells fabrics and sewing notions. Store is huge and clean and there are weekly sales. I meant just to browse but ended up buying stuff. The staff need better training, as they do not seem to know much about craft supplies. I asked 3 people about flatback rhinestone crystals, and not one knew what I was talking about. They need some kind of lookup system so staff can look up an item and find out where it is. It would boost sales. The Staten Island location seems to have more staff that care and know about arts and crafts. Employees at Tribeca location are sweet but seem clueless about craft items and don't really care to find out. I love the variety here and sales. I would shop here again.

I went to buy chain from the fabric section. The kind of chain that you buy by the yard. I like to make chain belts with them. So I like to measure it around my waist, so I can get a feel of how much I need and how it will lay. There were two ladies working the table. One was an older woman named Tracy and the other one I assume was training. The spool still had plastic wrap around it. So I asked one of the workers if I could take the plastic off so I could measure how much I needed. She told me “no” that you have to buy the entire spool. I tried to explain to her that you purchase it by the yard. She went to up to the woman name Tracy, and was told that you indeed buy it by the yard. They took the spool away from and gave me a tape measurer. Tracy then turned to her coworker and said “no one buys this stuff, it’s nasty stuff”. I asked if I could please have the spool back, because I like to measure it around my waist. Tracy then rudely said to me “What you don’t know how to use a tape measurer”? I explained my reasons, and then she gave it back to me, but made a show of being annoyed.

I needed help with embellishments for my grandsons prom jacket. LINDA at store#948 was amazing. I called prior to arriving at the store and she waited for my arrival and took me to the appropriate areas to select my items!! She is amazing!

As far as art supplies go, Michael's has a better selection and higher quality merchandise than Hobby Lobby, especially for drawing and painting.

Bought 2 exact pictures, (wall art), but when I got home discovered one was protected and enclosed in glass while the other one wasn’t. I immediately drove back to the store and talked to an employee named missy. Explained the situation and she’s examining the picture not enclosed like it’s the Mona Lisa when she clearly sees it’s not enclosed in glass like the other one. She then said there’s dog hair on it (I don’t own a dog) and I’m not really sure why she even said that, maybe implying I’ve already used it and now want to return it. I pointed out my receipt in her hand shoes I bought it today at 1:00 and it’s now 2:15. I asked her if I had to stand in the long return/exchange line and she stated to get another one and she would do an even exchange. Unfortunately the pictures were all gone and when I came back and told her she said well you’re just going to have to get in line to return it and walked off. I would not write this review if she would have simply said I apologize for the inconvenience of having to return this. After I returned it I spoke to the store who apologized profusely.

I went to the East Lansing store today to purchase a doll house for my wife and the staff was so kind and supportive. I informed them I had concerns about getting this item home safely as it was raining. They proceeded in wrapping the doll house in plastic and assisted me loading it in my truck and I made it home without issue and my wife was very happy. I really appreciate the support I received from the staff at East Lansing Hobby Lobby location.

I have been to this location many times. As I love coming to this store either to shop or look. As of today there was an announcement over there loud speaker in the store about a sheriff to some staff person to take a call. As I thought that was weird and odd.. And then there was a staff person who always has his nose in the air walking around the store as that made me feel that uncomfortable experience. I left the store while I was looking at different items. Normally I would give this store a 5 star rating. But this time it's a 3 star rating. Not sure that I will be back.

Today I dealt with the mgr of the West Cola, SC store - Brandon was just super nice and could not have been more accommodating. I did get an opportunity to give shoutouts to 2 of his employees - Nakia and Josephine - they went over and beyond their normal responsibilities to ensure what I’d bought was wrapped up good enough to make it home without getting broken (and it was a LOT of stuff). They were so patient and pleasant.

I guess you cant shop on truck day .boxes blocked some displays and part of aisles. My 87 year old mother was looking at fabric trying to decide while a employee stood and close by staring and sighing impatiently. I said i guess we arent suppose to shop on thursdays and she said WELL IT IS TRUCK day! With that attitude maybe you should close on truck day. My mother prefers shopping in stores instead of online and looks forward to me taking her shopping. If we have to switch to online it wont be hobby lobby.

Went in to Hobby Lobby to get my Baking supplies as I always do, only to get whispered about by a so called manager! She does it very often with numerous people. Very poor customer service!!! I will be taking my business elsewhere!

I went to the hobby lobby in jackson, michigan today early. I went looking for some beads. To make some outdoor decorations. The sign over the decoration set fifty percent off. I purchase four containers of beads, believing that they were fifty percent off. When I checked my receipt, I realized that they had charged me full price. I went back into the store and showed that to him. And they said well the yellow tag good to is already marked off its says it at the very bottom of the fifty percent off sign i said, well, that's pretty sneaky, isn't it? And the lady behind the desk said, why yes, it is. So apparently the yellow tag means it's already been marked down. All of them had yellow tags, but the 50% sign was right above them..

I have been frequently going to the Hobby Lobby store in Ft. Worth, Presidio location for over two years now. I became a frequent customer when I started my art business, "Art by Ana." I want to praise two of the ladies in their framing department. Both Tiffany and Summer have become friends; they help me make color choices when framing my art. They are knowledgeable and competent, with excellent artistic skills. But besides being great at what they do, they always welcome me with a smile, regardless of how busy they are. They are always friendly, helpful, and extremely courteous. I want both Tiffany and Summer to know that I am always appreciative of their willingness to help me, especially with meeting my deadlines. You ladies are the best, and I hope you get a raise! 🙏🏼❤️

I have to say every employee I have encountered at Hobby Lobby in Lombard on Roosevelt are wonderful. Never have I been in the store and met a rude employee. I recently went to the framing the department. The patient welcoming service I received from Leo in the department made me again - appreciate the employees they hire.

I’ve been a customer of Hobby Lobby for years and have always loved the seasonal decorations. Recently, I’ve noticed their stock has completely changed and NOT for the good. Tons of plastic dishes, toys, and just junk. I’m super disappointed- please change your buyers and start stocking quality merchandise!!

Hobby Lobby Employee Ilene was extremely helpful; she went above and beyond my expectations. In today’s world, it seems like everyone is too busy to care about customer service; but not with Ilene. I came to get a mat for my picture I bought from a local artist earlier in the day. When I came to Hobby Lobby I was greeted by Ilene with a smile and a genuine interest in meeting my needs. Ilene listened intently about my request and told me that she would have it in 20 minutes. I told Ilene that I want her to do her best and that I would come back to the store when it was finished. Ilene took my number and I left the store. I barely got out of the store before Ilene came running out calling me back into the store and telling me that she had finished with my request. When I got to the counter, Ilene brought out my picture with the new mat she had installed and I was overwhelmed at the quality of job Ilene completed. Ilene is a great employee and positive asset to the Hobby Lobby Corporation. In my opinion, she would make a great manger in the future. Great job Ilene and thank you!
