“The overflow pipe outside the back door was continually dripping and sometimes splashing very fast. Called agent and was noted but nobody came to fix. The cooking utensils were filthy and we had to wash thoroughly before use. Unused oil in food cupboard without lid and black with dirt. Dog poo in the garden. No welcome pack as stated in notes. The stairs were incredibly steep and although we knew the stairs would be steep, they were almost impossible to climb. Highlight the chickens next door.”

“It was very spacious and modern, bathrooms and bedrooms were very large . Just a few things missing egg cups, oven gloves and shower mat but over very nice”

“We have booked with holidaycottages several times in the past and this time was no different. Easy to deal with and property was as advertised. This time we stayed at Apple Tree Barn which is a lovely cottage and would recommend it.”

“Was very easy to select and find the house we wanted, in the area we wanted. Easy to book and pay both deposit and balance. Communication excellent and the Lemlair Farmhouse is just brilliant! A very spacious clean comfortable house with excellent lovely hosts!”

“Rigg Cottage was perfectly situated to do a good range of walks right from the door. La'al Ratty could be seen from the window and was a delightful way to increase our walking options without using the car. We had a very wet week and the tiled floor downstairs was very practical for wet dogs and drying gear. People and dogs loved the enclosed orchard garden. A very happy stay.”

“Easy to book, clear description and good photos of the property which was spotless and very well equipped. Booked because it was on the beach but didn’t appreciate it was all pebbles even at low tide so wasn’t the best walk for the dog.”

“We love this cottage, it is isolated with trees around and lovely bird song. It has a log fire and gas heating so it’s cozy, the bed is comfortable and the rain shower is amazing. It’s not far to Robin Hood Bay and two village pubs are close. This was our 2nd stay and I can highly recommend it.”
