“We found the perfect place to stay in King's Cottage, Sandgate. It's not often easy to find suitable ground floor accommodation. The house was very comfortable, very clean and we hope to return. Easy to book with accurate information and directions to get there.”

“The cottage was very comfortable, had been recently refurbished to a nice standard. In a lovely quiet area. Close to a lovely friendly pub for meals. Good place for getting around to see the area.”

“The cottage we booked had not been properly cleaned before our arrival, and although we were only a party of 2 the property was capable of sleeping 8, yet we were only provided with 2 towels!! The painting in a number of rooms was getting tired and in need of a refresh. The property was also not well equipped with day to day essentials, that would have been expected in a £1500+ a week property.”

“An absolute lovely cottage in beautiful countryside. Very good for dogs, nice secure garden and a stones throw from a lovely grassy paddock where they can kick there heels. Five star, most definitely”

“What a lovely lodge, plenty of room for 3 couples plus dogs. Clean, light and airy with a gorgeous fire to cosy up to. Wonderful setting with plenty of walks from the door. We will certainly be back. Thankyou.”

“The cottage we booked was totally unsuitable for a couple of our age . The furniture was very uncomfortable the bedrooms were very tight and the stairs steep and winding . The photos were very un informative and didn’t show thes facts. Also the steep short driveway up to the parking area was very difficult to reverse up and as the hedge had not been cut you could not see traffic coming from the right when pulling out .. Sorry for this review but at least it’s honest”

“Painting needed in bedroom and living room area, right hand side of bed bottom cupboard door doesn’t stay shut. Apart from that its perfect location, very clean, has everything you need bedroom, living and kitchen wise. Love that theres Wi-Fi and smart TV to relax in evenings after long hikes. Easy to walk from Easdale to hikes and public transport is easily accessible 8 minute walk away and round corner from all the shops in Keswick. Lovely views from windows, considering its central it’s nice snd quiet. When I struggled with the door key the customer service was excellent and very helpful. Super comfortable and big bed too. Could maybe do with a bigger sofa to stretch out on. I’ll definitely be booking to stay here again.”

“We had a lovely stay at Glendene, the house was clean and spacious, with a fully equipped kitchen. Located on a very quiet street with more than ample parking. The photos of the garden don’t do it justice - it was beautiful! The owner couldn’t be more helpful and communication was brilliant!”

“Both the parking at the cottage and the access to the town were inappropriate for our age- over 75. We are no strangers to the Lakes or walking but found the cottage and its position hard work.”

“I have been going on and off to this apartment for over 20 years,this is one of my favourite apartment in st ives the views are fabulous. But this year all the mattresses needed to be replace you could feel the springs digging into you.we all 5 of us went home with bad backs. Also the 2 sofas we're the same and we're really uncomfortable. Also one of the sofas we're ripped at the back and front . All the beds and sofas definitely need to be replaced to get back to 5 stars.”
