“We had a super week staying at Trimm Cottage on the Dorset Coastal path. The cottage was very clean, quiet and the kitchen well equipped - lovely view out of the stable door onto the cottage garden. Bed comfy, no passing traffic as on no- through road but an easy walk to the beach. Excellent location and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.”

“Easy booking process, regular emails keeping us up to date. Our cottage-Blakey View Bothy, was exactly as described, presented to a high standard, Jo and Michael were brilliant hosts who made us feel very welcome.The welcome pack was a nice surprise.The views were from the garden were fantastic, especially loved seeing the Barn Owls out and about. Lots of lovely walks to do both from the cottage or a short drive. Our two Cocker Spaniels loved walking the moors.”

“Booking with holidaycottages.co.uk this summer made everything so easy and stress-free. The website was simple to use, and the cottages we stayed in was exactly as described—spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, and in a perfect location for exploring. I really appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the welcome pack and how well-equipped the kitchen was, which made it feel like a real home from home. It gave us the chance to properly relax, enjoy the surroundings, and make some great memories together. That combination of comfort, care, and convenience is what made me genuinely happy.”

“From the moment we arrived the whole experience was perfect. starting with the real coal fire set in the hearth, a bottle of wine in the fridge biscuits tea coffee sugar. the way the cottage looked clean tidy, the infirmation folder that the house cleaner/building manger has filled with usefull informanation even took the time to text me with additional information. Have already indicated qe intebd to go back next year 7 days of pure bliss..uk at its best”

“smooth booking process and friendly staff. The cottage we booked was much smaller than it looked on the photos as was the secure garden, and it was directly on a very busy public throughfare - horses, off lead and on lead dogs and pedestrians and cars. This would have affected us booking it in the first place. Checking information provided by owners perhaps? We would still use holidaycottages but maybe need to speak to ann advisor as well as just online.”

“We had a great stay in The Views - Lundy. Booking was straightforward, and everything was as stated on the itinerary. The pod was ideal for 2 people and 2 dogs. The views were wonderful with a breathtaking view across to Lundy. The pod was well-equipped, and the walk-in shower was an added bonus. Plenty of walks and beaches close by. it felt so much like home, we would love to rebook.”

“⭐️ 2/5 – Disappointing Stay and Poorly Equipped Kitchen We booked this property for a joint 80th birthday celebration for my parents with 16 of us staying, but it didn’t meet expectations. On arrival, the bedrooms weren’t arranged as requested, and the property was advertised as having a fully equipped kitchen for 21 people, but this wasn’t the case. The kitchen was badly equipped, with not enough glasses, many utensils and pans in poor condition, and it would not have been possible to cook a full meal. During our stay, the ceiling in the downstairs toilet collapsed — thankfully no one was hurt, but the caretaker’s response felt dismissive once she knew no one was injured, and we were left without a usable downstairs toilet for the rest of the weekend. These issues combined made for an inadequate and disappointing stay.”

“Easy to book. We wanted to start our holiday on a day different to the change over day for the cottage. You contacted the owner and we had an answer back very quickly and the booking procedure was quick and efficient. Thanks”

“The booking process itself was good, however, I found it very irksome that if I called with any queries I was required to through a 20 questions type procedure supplying not only my booking details but also verifying all my personal details, even when I called with an urgent query concerning a potential problem whilst I was actually at the property.. I also understand that your staff sr only authorised to speak to the person who made the booking, again potentially problematic if that person is taken ill/unavailable. I appreciate the requirements of the data protection act, however, I have never had to deal with this level or security on a standard holiday booking before, and I travel a lot, including internationally. I tried to use the App but was informed that it is a ‘work in progress’, some of the information I required would normally appear on. Self catering company’s App but didn’t. I will book with your company again, however, hopefully you can sort out some of the ‘clunky’ bits. Your staff are helpful and nice to deal with”
