“We stayed at Pound Retreat Chardstock A fabulous property and offered everything we needed. The owners were very amicable and helpful. The cottage was lovely and peaceful and well equipped. The village was quiet, but close to many places of interest and amenities. Totally recommend the homemade scones which greet you on arrival. We loved it Holiday cottages made booking this property nice and smooth.”

“Lovely views, very peaceful. However freezer needed defrosting, difficult to open door sometimes.Also back bedroom pillows very uncomfortable. Otherwise everything as it should be”

“We had a lovely time at the cottage. It is cosy and generally clean. The lady of the helpline was very kind and did her very best to sort out a problem we had with the temperature of the water.”

“We had a wonderful holiday with great weather. The location of Merlin cottage was beautiful. The kitchen was well equipped and it was clean on arrival. The lovely lady who cleaned came half way through our holiday and changed the sheets and towels. However, the cottage was too small for 5 people and very tired. I would stay in the location again but not in Merlin cottage. Roger.”

“Great location - 10 mins walk to a lovely beach 😀 The accommodation had everything we needed and was very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. I loved the unexpected welcome pack with Prosecco etc.❤️ There was a hot tub which overlooked the woods at the back, and the dog liked sitting out on the balcony watching the rabbits. There was even a basket of things for the dog - towels etc. Excellent all round ☺️”

“they were helpful answered questions quickly, cottage was as described, only problem was not told that access to property was not for anybody with disability, I had arm in plaster, the walk round to the entrance was a bit difficult, then steps up to flat were not the best, we would have thought twice if this had been mentioned, holiday cottages should have known this, anybody with walking difficulties would not be able to access this property.”
