“Whilst we had a lovely stay in Skye Fall in September, we felt that the property preparation let it down a little. Particularly as we have booked with holidaycottages before. The welcome pack was limited to a pint of milk and a pack of tunnocks teacakes. Far inferior to the welcome packs we have experienced from other properties. Also the property said it came with a welcome pack of logs for the log burner, but there were none provided. We looked in the garage and outbuildings but nothing was available so we had to buy our own supplies. Both of these factors let down what was a magnificent property with an. exceptional view. This was also the most expensive property we have ever booked, so for things to be less than comparable to previous experiences was a shame.”

“The cottage was one of the best equipped we have ever had. Everything was great quality, comfortable and very clean. It was lovely and warm and had off-road parking. The only down side would be hearing noise at night from the main road which was about 1 mile away and, had the weather been better the ouside seating area was not very nice, very narrow and nothing to look at except the back of the house.”

“Easy booking system however, the reality was different to the hype. Belle Vue Cottages (Hare House) in Great Busby Yorkshire has seen better days - outside structure is failing and rendering is falling down due to damp issues etc. The interior needs a make over as its had lots of heavy use. Washing machine knackered, kitchen sink tap exploded with water covering all our freshly prepared food for the evening meal. Hot tub seems to have a mind of its own regarding temperature. Apart from that, you will definately need transport as the nearest amenity (inc shops) is about 6 miles away. Weather was great Reported the above to the Holiday Cottages but didnt get any responses.”

“Churston Cottage…. Delightful,Well equipped, spotless throughout with a lovely little courtyard which was a sun trap in the afternoon. Great walks with the dog, to lovely coves & Brixam. We had a very relaxing week with beautiful weather all in all perfect.”

“This bungalow is all about Location, which is superb. Just a few minutes walk from the beach and everything else West Bay has to offer. Other plus points Convenient parking Spacious accommodation Modern bathrooms Comfortable lounge and beds Welcome pack. The not so good points. House clean but not very clean Dated TV Fridge door damaged Some damp patches around lower walls. Needs a new kettle We enjoyed our stay and would return.”

“I think it would be helpful to get the access details to the property at least 48 hours in advance, I received them just the day before, not long enough for planning and we could have already left home to start our over 400 mile journey. I also waited a long time to speak to someone, infact I actually didn't get through but had to use the online "help"”

“The hosts were lively and we adored there little dogs who kept us entertained. The cottage was warm, comfortable and cosy. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs including a washing machine and dishwasher. There was plenty of space to dry clothes. Lovely garden and it was lovely to watch the birds on the bird feeders. The only negatives was that the cottage did not provide bath towels. Coming from Australia we had to buy some locally as all other cottages we stayed in provided them. Also, it would be nice to have a small supply of coffee and tea bags and some milk. There was nothing supplied. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much.”

“Lovely cottage with fabulous sea views. Went to sleep and woke up listening to the waves. Near the centre with its market, shops and pubs. Great walks from your doorstep. Would book again. There is a little outside space with a gate which was great for us with a dog.”

“Belle Vue House was comfortable and warm with a well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and plenty of hot water. The conservatory was light and airy and bathed the kitchen in warm sunshine during the day. A large garden with great views will be lovely on a summer evening.”

“Foxy Lodge was lovely, a real home from home and the owners were great too, very helpful and informative. The lodge was well equipped, sparkling clean and very comfortable, with everything you need for a great holiday. Even the dog was thought of with his own little welcome pack and soft, fluffy towels - thank you Mel for a great stay 😁”
