“The cottage was fabulous but for holiday cottages to take 13 days to return the deposit was ridiculous. It starts on your website it is 7 working days and when I contacted you the reply email then said 10 working days. Also there is no phone number to be found to have queries answered. There is a good selection of cottages and ours was perfect.”

“Found Ty Beudy, Capel Pelion nr Aberysthwth at the last minute on holidaycattages.com. Very well kept cottage, to high standards, complete with hot and small garden for our two doggies to play in. The scenery was amazing. A very quiet location too. We'd definitely book again ! Lovely hosts Gareth and his wife Sally, added a few extra touches xx”

“We booked Cow House primarily because of the extra facilities it offered for disabled people. I tracked down the owners before I booked the property and Alison very kindly sent me the Accessibility Guide for the property. The property is assessed under the National Accessibility Scheme and is suitable for guests who depend on the use of a wheelchair. As such, we would recommend it. A few weeks before we were due to go I contacted Alison again to let her know which extra facilities we would need from the comprehensive list she offers, and these were all in place when we arrived. There was a comprehensive “welcome pack” that included some lovely home-made lemon drizzle cake! The property is large, it’s comfortable, well-furnished and kitted out. We found the easy chairs to be a little low for my disabled wife to use and asked Alison if she might be able to provide a riser kit for one of the armchairs. To her great credit she found one which was delivered and fitted in a couple of days. The outside seating and dining area was useful as we were there during the very hot spell in July. Alison is a very good and attentive host and looked after us very well while we were there. She has an eye for detail and kept in regular contact to make sure everything was going well for us. We had an excellent fortnight.”

“It was our second visit to Spirewell Farm albeit that we stayed in The Keepings this time as we had an elderly person with mobility issues with us. The process of booking was simple & straight forward & Fiona was great in answering my questions about the property. With two electric vehicles it was great to be able to charge on site. The property was clean & all the appliances etc worked well. The layout worked well for us & although not booked for the purposes of a holiday we were able to enjoy the location. We booked because we needed a place to stay while an accessibility bathroom was installed at my mothers home nearby & she needed to live else where while this was being done. The location was brilliant as we could get between my mother's house & the holiday cottage easily.”

“Great range of properties and efficient booking. Good filters on the website search although I would like 'sea view' to be split out from 'waterside view' and I'd also like the option to find properties that are closer to a beach, (currently set at 'Beach within 5 miles', other websites break it down to as near as half a mile which is perfect). Particularly like that I can amend the 'flexibility' by several weeks, this is brilliant compared to competitors who sometimes only allow up to 3 days flexi in the search. My main issue is the 'accidental damage deposit'. I find this really off-putting, I don't think any of your competitors ask for it, (I have certainly never been asked for a deposit by other companies). It seems disproportionate to hold £200 from the date of booking until a week after the return.”

“Booking process was easy and efficient, as usual. Timely reminders leading up to holiday. Minor issue relating to some facilities not available at house, but mentioned in Holidaycottages.co.uk's description. Response to our complaint was less that expected and disappointing.”
