“The cottage was very clean but extremely basic inside, we had bath towels provided but no hand towels. The internet was down also meaning no WiFi and a limited amount of things on the TV for our grandchildren.”

“The Whins - Portpatrick Absolutely fantastic holiday villa . Five star accommodation, a beautiful house , extremely well equipped, comfortable beds and furniture. That’s indoors, outside just as amazing. Balcony to the front giving super sea views, and two different seating areas to the rear . Host brilliant. Ideal for large families, or for group of golfers . Golf courses 5 minutes up the hill , where visitors made very welcome.”

“Amazing location in Alnwick - historic, fabulous views, very comfortable (clean and well appointed). Place that gives you lifelong memories. Comms were generally very good, with great arrival instructions. Would recommend the company and will definitely consider using them again.”

“Really enjoyed our stay in this delightful cottage. It was immaculately clean and very well equipped. The only reason I gave just four stars is because there was no mention in the cottage description that the stairs were steep, narrow and twisty which did cause some difficulty for us in our old age and with slight mobility issues. However by being extremely careful we coped and it will not put us off returning at some time in the future, health permitting.”

“This is the second visit using Holiday cottages. The booking site is easy to use and manage online. The locations and descriptions of the cottages were spot on. Updates and e mails were timely. We had to reschedule due to family accident and new dates were accepted and the holiday transferred, but the admin fee to do this was excessive, in my opinion, as it only required a computer input in the system and took less than 5 minutes. It was in the terms and conditions so not a suprise. I will use Holiday Cottages again on our next trip.”
