“The property was wonderful, very well maintained, very clean. Everything we needed was provided.Comfortable beds, beautiful furnishings.Hot tub excellent experience safe environment for our Westie. Lovely greeting from the owner on arrival.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. On arrival the cottage was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. It is well located within easy reach of several good dog walking beeches as well as the larger towns of Minehead and Weston Supermare, there is also many walks accessible from the cottage and we mustn’t forget ‘The Hood’ pub with its excellent food which is less than a 5 minute walk. The cottage has some issues common with old buildings, like steep stairs and wonky floors, but that is all part of the charm. There was plenty of storage for our clothes, which is normally lacking in rentals. My only minor complaint is that the kitchen cupboards were so full of equipment that no space had been left for our own groceries. We had to move stuff around to clear one cupboard shelf to store our food (mainly the dogs stuff really as I do not cook anything more complicated than pizza on holiday😂). I would definitely consider returning to the Granary if we were going back to the area.”

“Complete lack of hygiene. Awful very old beds. The double was not able to be used at all. Lack of usable crockery. The stench when we arrived was awful. My wife and I would not have spent a single night there, but we had taken my wife's brother with us as he has had a very sad time recently, and we didn't want to make him feel embarrassed.”

“Country Cottages provided a first class service when booking our holiday. The Cat and Mouse cottage was one of the best we have stayed in.It was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and provided with everything needed for our stay. It is also ideally located for visiting places of interest in the area.”

“Our stay at Vicarage Farm was great. Anita and Gareth Hicks accommodation was first class. They made us feel very welcome, especially they're beaming smiles.we will endeavour to return next year. We would certainly recommend them. Lovely memories!! Judi and John Wright.”

“Our stay at Richmond House was lovely, everything we expect, nice apartment, great location in a lovely town. We would stay here again if we return. Holiday Cottages service could have been better, the listing could have included more amenities that were available in the apartment, e.g. the availability of an iron & ironing board, the customer service team knowing that there was an iron and ironing board when asked via the chat function, I was directed to contact the owner via the information in the emails, which I couldn't find so was none the wiser until I turned up. The chat service needs significant improvement, I was cut off from one chat mid chat, then had to start again sharing my details multiple times, it shouldn't be hard work to communicate with the company. I think I would only use this company again if no others were available.”

“Holidaycottages.co.uk were very helpful, but sadly Camels Rest Lodge doesn't reflect the description, rating and photos on the website. The lodge has a nasty damp, fausty smell and no welcome information. There is no attention to detail throughout and in our opinion the lodge needs lots of TLC to reach the 4 star rating it currently has on the website.”

“We had no issue booking the holiday or the customer service we received from holidaycottages.co.uk. However the standards at Sunnydale Looe was extremely poor, from dirty kitchen utensils, dirty toilet brushes and holders, no headboards on beds, only childrens coat hangers supplied, also description stated washer and tumble drier but found only a washer in the property and unfortunately the owner of the property seemed to think that all of this was acceptable. We have spent many holidays in Looe and have to say that this was the worst holiday experience we have had.”
