“Lots of relevant information about the cottage on the website. All turned out to be exactly as stated. Simple to book with clear instructions for deposit with timely follow-up email for outstanding balance. The Linney was perfect for our needs, set in beautiful countryside. We would certainly check here first for our next trip away with our dog.”

“the cottage was not cleaned when we arrived, they had forgotten to do it. there were many things wrong with the cottage which we have already discussed with Holiday cottages but both the owner and yourselves seem to be in denial about. We have been to this same cottage probably 20 times and it has deteriorated in the last few years we packed up wednesday evening and left first thing on the Thursday. A very disappointing experience so we will not be using Holliday Cottages again and certainly not return to forge cottage”

“The cottage was exactly as described and ideal for our needs. It was absolutely spotless and well equipped. The bed was comfortable and the shower good. The Welcome Pack was definitely 'welcome' as we had forgotten to bring teabags and coffee with us! The biscuits were beautiful and we bought some at Hamish's Farm Shop to bring home with us. The milk was greatly received too as it meant we didn't need to rush out to go shopping. We loved watching the little deer in the field at the back and the wren that visited the veranda a few times. There was no problem making contact with the owner when we needed to (we used text) as they came back with a speedy reply. We're not sure about future holiday plans at the moment, but would certainly be happy to stay at 'Spot' again if we decide to go in that direction.”

“Stayed at the Old Post Office, Matlock, outstanding panoramic views. Great accommodation for two people without mobility issues.Good area for walks Would recommend to friends. Great value for money spent.”

“Had a lovely stay at "White Magpie cottage" was made to feel very welcome. A bottle of red was a lovely gesture. The place itself set amongst beautiful woodlands which had footpaths enabling easy access to wonderful walks and surroundings. Thinking of booking up for later in year.”

“It was easy to book and be kept informed of payment, travel, etc. It was also good to know there was a phone number we could call if anything was amiss. Luckily everything went smoothly, except for a road closure leading to the cottage which had just happened.”

“Very spacious conversion on a farm set in beautiful countryside yet very easy to drive to places of interest in Dorset. Comfortably furnished and very well equipped, everything needed for daily use was to hand. We thoroughly recommend this lovely holiday accommodation.”
