visited Homebase New Oscott. No one around to ask questions or queries. very disappointed by lack of customer service. Employees spend a lot of gossiping and standing in groups ignoring customers. After I completed my shopping the customer assistant on checkouts was so miserable. no eye contact , no contact what’s so ever just grunted all the time. Will not be shopping at this Homebase again

Went to buy some kitchen worktops today. After these tops having a price tag of £50 and these have been same price for many weeks they changed price to £75. Even thou only yesterday was at 50 pounds still. Yet today was told no they have always been £75. Even though a customer had bought some work tops on sat for £50 each. Went back in sunday. To buy one more also to find price had gone up. I'm very disappointed and angry. I'll never step in home base again and I'll be mentioning this all over social media. So home base terrible.

I regularly use the tiverton store and have recently booked 3 items for collection only to be told when I arrive that the item is not in stock even though on one occasion the website showed 6 in stock!

I made a big mistake buying a kitchen cupboard from Homebase. The design I was given looked fine on paper, but, when I received the materials, I was shocked from the poor quality I received. Around 25% of the cupboard was not installed due to faulty design, and all the joiners that I hired fo install it, were not impressed with it. Don’t make that big mistake like the one I did. Stay away from Homebase and don’t waste your money. I waisted over 1000 pounds on that shabby cupboard and I have learned my lesson the hard way. When I asked for a refund from the Homebase branch in Gateshead, I was refused to have a refund, and they were not professional or helpful at all. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH HOMEBASE!

Sick of reserving goods and being told you can collect your order in 3 hours then 2 hours later another message saying it's out of stock grrrrr 3rd time it's happened now sort it out homebase

Two days before. I bought something in Homebase London Haringey stores. It is a very terrible shopping experience.I bought a home appliance in this shop——10L Evaporative Cooler.Before I purchased it, their staff told me. I can return in 28 days without any conditions. Because the product contains a warranty, you can get it in the shop for maintenance.So I bought it. Take home and follow the instructions to try it out. Need to add water to verify it is cooling. However, after using it, it felt noisy and it did not feel very cool. So I got the store and asked for a refund.The first time I got the answer was because I used it and I can't refund it. Only one can be replaced. I didn't theory with her again. I asked for their experience. The second time I received the reply, because I have used it, I cannot refund or replace it. I once again theory with them. I purchased this product for only two hours. If I don't use it, how can I prove it works? If I don't add water, how can I know it can cool?In the end, they had no choice but to let me refund. And tell me, don't go shopping here next time. Very bad service, I will not buy anything here again.Why are there so many bad reviews. It's your reason, it's the customer's reason. Do you have to review yourself?

Made for you kitchens are of poor quality, every single end panel needs cutting to size both width and height, paint scratches easily, wine rack design awful. They should not be called "Made for you" rather this range should be called "Cut and fit yourself"

PRICES GO UP AT CARDIFF CULVERHOUSE… PRICES GO UP AT CARDIFF CULVERHOUSE STORE Homebase Cardiff advertising "Stock Clearance. Store Closing" but they've PUT PRICES UP! Up until Last Week for example, Loft Boards were £7 per pack - today (Clearance) they are £8 per pack. Last week we looked at many items with a view to buying this week in their Clearance Event. Today we realized that many of their prices had in fact been increased. This Store Manager has an interesting concept towards her regular customers! Is this part of the new owner's (Bunnings) concept?

When I have to wait for the two members of staff to finish their conversation before serving me (i.e. spending money with Homebase) but actually they continued to conduct their conversation whilst I made the transaction then I left the store wondering why I should ever need to visit Homebase again when clearly, I was seen as an inconvenience

Chepstow branch, I went to get some hacksaw blades from your store. After looking through the poorly organised shelves which were an absolute mess. I couldn't find any. Asking two members of staff who showed no interest and treated me as if I was an annoyance by asking!! Went to customer service two members of staff who carried on talking to themselves in a private conversation while I was standing there waiting. Sent on another chase in the store and no luck. Poor service and wholly ignorant staff. Went to screwfix afterwards and will again from now on to get service and stock.

Travelled 17 miles to Inverurie branch to enquire about getting ne kitchen , what a mistake that was after trying to find someone who knew anything I was finally joined by a lady who seemed Incapable of answering the simplest of question about kitchen design , the place was also a disaster area just a mess , If they are not concerned about the look of thier store then I could Imagine what a kitchen from homebase would look like , will take my business elsewhere , don't waste your time going to homebase ...

We have purchased a real Christmas tree from Homebase for the past several years because they have been good quality. This year our £42 tree has not even lasted a week before having shed half of its needles. Normally we can get a good look at the tree before buying but this year most of them were already bagged so very difficult to judge quality and freshness. Very disappointed and extremely fed up with the constant hoovering of needles and unable to put our presents under the tree. Will look else where next year.

Bought a glass topped garden table and chairs from Homebase in Broadstairs in April. In July the glass top exploded in such a violent and spectacular fashion that shads of glass flew off in all directions!!! It was very frightening, as not 10 minutes before it happened, 3 of us had been sitting at the table. As I said to the customer service people, if a child had been sitting there it would have taken their face off. When I went back to the store it had closed down so I had to deal with everything by Email. I was told that all of my photos would be passed to HQ for them to investigate the exploding glass. I also requested a replacement table, without a glass top, which they sent me, but this table was smaller than the one I had and not entirely suitable. After this I was just basically ignored and my requests for information on the investigation in to the exploding glass until I got annoyed and started to call and Email them again. At that point I was just fobbed off with them emailing me a standard report on toughened glass and how a fault can sometimes allow it to shatter in to small pieces, not shards, and therefore making it safer. RUBBISH. I have photographs of how frightening and dangerous this explosion was and they have just fobbed it off. DO NOT buy any glass topped tables from Homebase I have no confidence in them and they are dangerous for your family.

Visited on a Sunday, shop felt empty, next to no stock. Needed help from staff, took ages to find a single member of staff who said they were the only ones there. Useless!

don't ever get them to do your bathroom, been a year now and still problems. Sower not working properly for over 6 months now and they tell me can't get anyone to fix it till after Christmas

Both Colchester stores now look like a jumble sale. Boxes of stock all over the floors causing possible trip hazards. Won’t be going to another Homebase again.

Kingston branch. I was looking for an external light. Poor displays, with no code numbers. Jumbled merchandise on shelves. Very little to recommend this store on its looks. Seems in a perpetual state of being rearranged. Unispiring experience.
