I am so very unhappy with Home Depot Jacksonville IL right now. I placed an online order for an upright freezer on July 29th. A few days later arrangements were made to have it delivered on Friday August 5th. Morning of delivery I receive a call from Bill at Federal Normal (delivery company) saying he is unable to deliver and will get back to me when he hears more. I have never heard from him again. A week later I call Jacksonville Home Depot, where my call was passed multiple times, i.e. Electrolux, federal, back to home depot. Finally landing on Tim in appliances. He basically told me I needed to be more patient. A week later I physically go into Home Depot where Tim tells me there is nothing he can do and that Home Depot has no responsibility to get me the freezer even though Home Depot is the one I paid the money to. On August 19th I call customer service Home Depot Jacksonville and talked to Mike. He agreed to cancel the order and told me I should have the refund in 3 to 5 days. Today August 29, 2022 I called customer service Home Depot Jacksonville. I got to speak with Shannon. She sys nothing has happened on my refund as Federal Normal needs to agree to the refund. She tries calling and they were already closed. She says she will call me tomorrow morning. She again proceeds to tell me that the refund should be 3 to 5 days. I told her funny...that's what Mike said on the 19th. Totally unhappy experience! Theresa B

So first of all,, just stay away go to lowes or a independent hardware store!!! They are terrible at customer service!!! They think they are doing you a favor buying from them!!! I ordered appliances and I understand that there is a back order for things like this but it was rescheduled 4 times… the dishwasher leaked all over my floor!!! They refused to hook up my fridge because there was no shut off!!! Are you serious did you not see the wire hanging out of my cabinet??? It’s right under my sink!!! And when you call they will not help you!! offer you comps and then only do 40-50$$ for each mess up!!! Ummm NO!!! Stay away from HOME DEPOT!!!

I tried to purchase a dishwasher from Home Depot at the Cave Creek, Az. store, but it turned into a disaster! It was supposed to be installed by them, but it's really not Home Depot it's a vendor they use and they are beyond terrible!!!!!! It took 2 weeks to schedule the delivery and installation. Then the installers refused to install it and left it in my garage! After speaking with management, which did absolutely nothing, they rescheduled the installation for another 2 weeks. This time they never showed up!!!!!! I went ballistic and demanded that the pick it up and cancel the sale. They finally got 2 kids and a truck to pick it up that day. The managers and their installation dept are the worsed I've every dealt with. They care nothing about the customer. Never again! Home Depot sucks!!!!!!

I wish I could give Home Depot a zero. I ordered appliances June 26th; their delivery service stood me up twice. The second time I had to leave my wife alone at the emergency room, had to get a relative, who just traveled from coast to coast, to pick her up in order to take delivery. I monitored their delivery web site all which indicated that there were only two customers ahead of me. They never showed up. never called and never even apologized. When I was able to get them on the phone they told me that the next available delivery would be in another two weeks. I even lost me contractor as a result. I cancelled the order and over a week later I have not received a refund. Time for an attorney?

I ordered a wall air conditioner through Home Depot online. It was shipped through two or more terminals & by the time it arrived at a Sacramento terminal near my home, it was damaged & had to be sent back. Because my installation date scheduled with a contractor was rapidly approaching, I needed the replacement unit asap so I went to customer service at the Madison Ave. store. They refunded the money I paid for the first one, ordered another at a present sale price discounted another 5%, & rushed the delivery which arrived yesterday. I witnessed the extensive work the experienced rep went to to make this happen & I was beyond impressed. I have never had such a stellar retail experience. Though I'm usually not generous with my money I gave the rep a $20 tip (which he at first refused until I persisted). I only mention the tip to emphasize what extra innings they went to to make this happen. I give Home Depot my very highest recommendation.

Purchased new Whirlpool refrigerator late February 2022. (Was manufactured January 2022.) Late June 2022 it died. Whirlpool technician arrived July 12, 2022. Diagnosed problem as 1. faulty control board. 2. filter dryer 3. LOW ON FREON. NEEDS CHARGING. Advised parts not available and would be 21 days before before they could even inquire of availability from Whirlpool. That would be August 13, 2022. According to Whirlpool one part may be available sometime between September 9 and 27.. it is now August 22 and we have been without our #1 rated Whirlpool refrigerator for two months with no repair date in sight. I should just buy another refrigerator. I have found the repair parts at three suppliers but Whirlpool cannot reach out to them and if I repair then I would invalidate the warranty. I would repair but the need for the sealed system to be recharged is a bigger problem. Freon should last the life of the refrigerator. So there is a leak. The leak is big enough that in just four months it leaked enough that the compressor ran all the time. The tech advised me to unplug the unit to avoid ruining the compressor. A simple recharge of the sealed system would be a temporary fix and in three to four months it would need recharging again. Anyone familiar with air conditioning or cooling systems knows this. Home Depot says it is all on Whirlpool to make it right and Whirlpool blames it all on Covid19. Recommend any future appliance purchases be made from a local appliance center that services what they sell. Extended warranties are useless as you would still have the same problems. Would love to write the CEOs of Whirlpool and Home Depot but after reading many of the other reviews I understand I'm not the only one left "out in the cold." My advise is think twice before buying any appliance from Home Depot!

I just purchased a new washer from Home Depot. The delivered and installed it and started it told me to let it run a entire cycle and left. Right after they left it shut off, i started it again and it made a clicking noise and turned off. Sounds like its not getting water. I tried to catch the delivery guys no luck, I called customer care and the soonest they can get someone back out is 4 days! i told them I needed a concession and they only offered $50, that i am sure I wont see. I have to take off work again!, for them to Fix my brand new appliance. I will never got to Home Depot again. and I buy a ton of tools there, but Ace Hardware sales the same brand. Nice knowing you home depot, but I am breaking up with you!!!

Less than zero communication from this zero company. How did America ever end up with a useless company like this one? They can't deliver an appliance to save their lives. Zero communication from the idiot delivery company. Strongly advise to find ANY OTHER WAY to buy your appliance besides Home Depot. They have simply, dramatically lost their way. Are you listening shareholders?

Home Depot's appliance delivery operations are terrible. So unorganized, and the communication from the delivery team is nonexistent. I ordered a dishwasher on their website, and the soonest delivery was 1 month out. Not ideal, but fine with me. Delivery day comes and they never show up. Meanwhile they marked the dishwasher as "Delivered" on their tracker. I call their support team and they say they don't know what happened but assure me it'll be delivered by end of day. Never came. Call them that evening and they reschedule the delivery for two days out. They never came on that day either. Two scheduled deliveries and they didn't show up for either one! Sure wasted a lot of my time, though. Finally I called to cancel the order and get a refund. Rep told me I would get a refund in 3-5 business days. 5 days later, still no refund, so I call and then I'm told the refund takes 7-10 business days. Been over 10 days and still no refund. Home Depot wasted my time on not one, but two(!) delivery days, never gave me my dishwasher, and have now taken several weeks to issue a refund. I will never order an appliance from Home Depot again.

we bought a new refrigerator for our 91 year old mom who's refrigerator broke down. On delivery day they stood outside and did not notify us. When we got notice that they had a "delivery" problem they gave us the run around all day and finally we reached someone but the "supervisor" went home. Now they say it will be another 10 days. Worst experience of our life. Will never buy anything from Home Depot again.

I Ordered a washing machine after ours broke. Delivery was in 4 days. Once delivery day came around, an independent delivery serviced opened the package to a heavily damaged machine. We were informed that the machine had to be returned to Home Depot before a new one can be sent out. They expected me to wait 2 weeks without a washing machine with laundry stacking up before sending out a replacement. We decided to go with Lowes and ended up with a machine 2 days later. Now 3 weeks later we receive a call that Home depot is attempting to deliver a REPLACEMENT washing machine instead of refunding me for the damaged one ordered 3 weeks prior. This was my LAST purchase with Home Depot. Unacceptable.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I’ve paid for a door install in June 2022. It is now August and I have not been contacted by anyone to schedule the install. Numerous calls to HD and the contractor go unanswered.

Poor to no customer service in kitchen cabinet department. Will never do business with Home Depot again. I am writing a letter to the CEO which I'm sure won't matter or make a difference, but any company (or even a store) who thinks they are too big to fail or go out of business will learn a hard lesson. The company's CEO needs to be a secret shopper on a large ticket item. My order would have been at least $100,000 sale.

I have spoken to the manager before at the Weatherford TX store. I’m. A 80% disabled veteran and a farmer. When I ask for the military discount and my ag exemption. I have been told they can’t honor 2 discounts. AG EXEMPTION isn’t a discount. I left $700 dollars at the register and went to Lowes and purchased everything with military discount and ag exemption. Other Home Depot’s honor both as well as Tractor Supply, McCoy’s, Lowes, Sutherland Home Place. This has happened to me 3 times in Weatherford. Can’t speak to manager, but did call and educated the manager, which she thank me. Must have a high turn over of Managers and no training. Store personnel are rude, arrogant and very resistant to listen. Contact the TX AG commissioner, if you need confirmation that an ag exemption permit and number is not a discount I am proud to serve and feed Americans, but will never set foot in another Home Depot and just liquidated my HD stock. That was the 3rd time at that location, even though I made many other purchases that did use my ag exemption with veterans discount, 3 strikes, your out. Also stores like yours and others who mainly rely on self checkout will not be used by me.

I decided to go with Home Depot and their estimate for window retro. Jim Walker was my salesman and a very knowledgeable man who walked me through the process. Decided to go with SIMONTON. They are quite a bit less than Milgard. Personal choice for my situation. I had Mark come and measure and was knowledgeable and efficient. Windows came in sooner than quoted and I had Misael and Raul do the install. Such great men and they get an A+ In all areas from top to bottom. If u ever g Need windows installed I highly recommend him for the job. They are Glass and Window Pro Installer of Madera Ca. If you live in his vicinity. Back to Home Depot. Sara was patient and helpful when coming to scheduling and understanding my ending balance. All in all I am quite satisfied with all things considered. Will depend on them for my business in the future. Thx everyone.

Place an order for replacement French Doors for my home in Feb 2022. Spent over $7000.00 and was told 4-9 weeks to receive. Was contacted once for an update and a delayed delivery date, that was May-June. It is now August over 20 weeks with no delivery date, being told we just have to wait. Home depot has just washed their hands of the matter blaming it on the vendor, the refuse to take any responsibility even through they took my $7000.00 not the vendor. My wife is going out of town later in August and while she is gone I will be cancelling the order and buying elsewhere. I live in College Place Wa and there is basically nowhere else to shop. I drove and hour away to have my new HVAC done. I have also gone to Lowes and hour away to order my new kitchen cabinets. Because of their attitude about this sale the have lost about $30000 in sales to us. We also spent $11000 for a deck for the new house with the stipulation that the contractor not buy the materials from Home depot. We required receipts for the materials showing they were not purchased from Home Depot. I admit this was a little petty, the deck, but why give business to a company that takes your money and then says, not our problem we don't build the doors. We did not order from the company direct, but through Home Depot, so my phone calls are just ignored and told to contact home depot.

Your app for Veterans is useless! You are fully aware that cell phone reception is so poor inside the store that the app does not work. You demand that your Veteran customers, after shopping go outside to log in and back inside to complete their purchase. This is ludicrous! I was told by the staff that they would run my discount after reviewing my VA card this last time, from now on I will be forced to use the app. Until you come up with a better solution, like Lowes where all we do is provide our phone number, this Vetaran will no longer shop at Home Depot.
