My delivery of my vanity was severely damaged, box was on its side, which was clearly printed to be stood up, marked fragile, the marble vanity top, is broken and cracked. Big mistake, I tipped the Home Depot delivery guys $20. apiece. So, I’m out $40. That won’t happen again. My contractors were here, ready to install, now, I have to make another appointment with them to complete my bathroom remodel. This whole experience with Home Depot, has been a nightmare, and totally unacceptable. I strongly advise and caution people to think twice about ordering online with Home Depot. Communication with the online customer service has been difficult to say the least. I tried to post pictures, but, for some reason, they would not upload.

On Dec 3 we received our first delivery - removed old dishwasher DID NOT install new dishwasher, water was not turned off and a plug was not installed in the garage disposal, resulting in water damage in the basement and to the cabinets. - on a subsequent delivery the installer said it was against policy to leave without installing a dishwasher. Will Home Depot verify this was against company policy - delivered wrong model of dishwasher - tape was removed from stove large areas of adhesive could not be removed by delivery team. - did not install anti-tipping system on stove - both washer and dryer were damaged and returned at a later date - cold water on washer was not tightened causing water to drip. Homeowner tightened connection - shelving not installed in refrigerator - Dec 6 had plumber inspect for leaking water, plumber installed plug in garbage disposal to stop leak - Dec 10 delivered team came to pick up washer and dryer WITHOUT new washer and dryer. Washer and dryer remained until new washer and dryer was delivered - Dec 12 second incorrect dishwater delivered returned to Home Depot . No notice that a different model dishwasher was delivered - Dec 16 second stove delivered. Delivery agent said didn’t have to install anti-tipping device because previous installer should have. And was not on his work order - delivery team would not remove protective tape from stove, ‘not my job’ - second washer and dryer delivered. Hauled existing washer and dryer away,DID NOT mark washer as being returned. Issue was resolved by John at Brighton Home Depot - washer was connected with the hot and cold connection reversed, homeowner swapped water connections - could not get purchased dishwasher from Home Depot. - Currently no working garage disposal or dishwasher

I have spent tens of thousands of dollars at Home Depot over the past several years and occasionally enjoyed the benefits of their 10% off (or other such discounts) coupons they would send in the mail or online. Several months ago, that all changed. Building materials apparently no longer qualify for the discounts. How is it that a business that literally sells lumber, insulation, etc. makes the decision to no longer allow the use of their now almost worthless coupons on those items? When you read the fine print, it doesn't even mention it. I also shop at Lowes and use their credit card for a consistent 5% off. Unless something changes, I guess I'm done shopping at Home Depot.

Well in short home depot offers 6 months, 12 months no finance charges if paid on time unfortunately they took the promotion payment off the Webb sight you have to call to set up payment in my view this to set customers up for failure to get interest out of them I for 1 will be shopping big money products from Lowes if HD doesn't bring back promotion payments on line sorry not sorry

Home Depot, this experience has been deeply disappointing. Three weeks ago, my mother—a retired, disabled veteran—purchased a washer, dryer, pedestals, and a 3-year service plan totaling $2,200. As of today, she still cannot use the appliances she paid for. After nearly two weeks of repeated calls and scheduling attempts, an installer was finally sent. Unfortunately, the installation was done improperly and resulted in water leakage due to a broken washer drain hose. We are now waiting yet again for Home Depot to return and correct an issue that should never have occurred. What makes this worse is the amount of time my mother has spent dealing with customer service, repeated scheduling, and follow-ups—simply to receive the basic service Home Depot promises. Watching her go through this has been frustrating and disheartening.

Never 👎 de Home Depot installation services as they play a direct role in facilitating third party contractor to over charge customers for unnecessary work that was never demonstrated , documented or ever proven , this raises a major concern related to trust and accountability as well as the integrity of the contractors they hire to do the job

Horrible! Horrible! Never ever buy stuffs from Home depot online. Worst experience I had with them recently. Here are the sequences of events 1. Ordered a Christmas tree online, got an email confirmation that order had been shipped. After few days saw the order is delayed. Called their toll-free number and the customer service agent, Helen said wait for couple of days and then you can cancel and re-order. She said she will send a gift card for $75 for this inconvenience. I got a online gift card but the balance was 0 :) 2. Called up again after few days, Spoke to the agent George. He apologized many times saying he can help to cancel and re-order. He kept me on-hold many times during the call. Finally placed the order and charged me $35 for shipping although the product was eligible for free shipping. He said he will give me $150 Curtesy credit to my account which will reflect in couple of hours and will also send a Home Depot online gift card for $75 by 24 hours. I have never received any gift card. 3. Tree I received after a week and then again, I called up the customer service agent to enquire about my credit and gift card. This time I spoke to Carlos. He was a utter adamant guy. He was not giving me any chance to talk. He read through whatever my earlier agent (George) in his note during the last conversation and confirmed everything what George said. However, when I asked when I should receive the curtesy credit and gift card, he said it will take 3-5 business days from now. When I challenged him saying the last agent said I should receive them in 24 hours he said you should have common sense that nothing should come in 24 hours and I have to wait 3-5 business days and then very arrogantly cut the phone.

Box truck delivery vendor had way too many rules to be a delivery company / vendor for Home Depot. Came out with box truck that my 12 year old grand son could have driven down my driveway; but full grown drivers could not. Totally ridiculous. Driver admitted he could have driven down our driveway, turned around and deliveried my windows and doors. Similar box trucks have deliveried to my h Home without any issues. Multiple large equipment orders deliveried with same size box truck. Home Depot should fire this vendor. Small children could do better. The drivers admitted that their boss was way too cautious!! Drivers have to submit pictures of before they can turn their truck around. Totally ridiculous

Customer Service is terrible. Not informed of policy information or not disclosing to customers in rightful honest way. Don’t bother wasting your time to dispute or have them rectify anything, “”as they won’t.”” I have been w/Home Depot for over 20 years. Recently this past year I took advantage of having several promos as we were doing a lot of add ons. This is where they get you and don’t disclose the fact of how they take and apply your money to promos. I made it a point always to talk with a live person to make payments (& in getting confirmation of each payment). I called In Nov. 2025 as I had two promos I paid off and a revolving payment also. I had another promo coming up on Dec 20th to pay off of…..$298.72. On Dec.2, 2025 I called in as I received a billing statement showing $473.54. This is where they get you. On my Nov. phone call to pay the Nov. promos and my revolving amount they applied the revolving money to my Dec.promo that was due on the 20th leaving the revolving amount as unpaid and it was accruing interest…..and they said & stand by their policy of a sixty day window of any promo that it is to be paid which leaves a revolving payment unpaid as a promo is first. “””I still had over 3 in a half weeks left to pay my Dec. promo by the 20th”””….. why even offer a promo if you’re not honoring the pay by date. This was a 12 month promo based on my purchase amount last year. They fail to disclose that to you and it’s misleading us as customers. Well, they can stick the 29.99% interest rate where the sun does not shine as I am done with this business. I have been a customer making all payments on time for over 20 years, starting out with a 16% rate and they could not nor would they rectify this matter in anyway. I have been with Lowe’s the same amount of time and have never dealt with any problems with them and actually their products and services are by far better. I hope Home Depot goes out of business…their reviews don’t even look good….that should tell you something also backing up my dis satisfaction with them!!

I ordered online a refrigerator and paid for the Date selection and a room of your choice to be put in. First they delivered a week early and never emailed or called. So my wife came home from work and there it was in our driveway. I called and was on the phone for at least 45 mins and nothing could be done that night had to call back in the morning. When I called back was on phone for almost an hour and they could not help. They couldn't get someone to come over and put in house. I even suggested someone from the local store and after waiting a few minutes was told they couldn't do that. So I said I want to return it and use a company that is confident. It was very easy for them to set up the return, but not have someone come to put in the house. This is totally respectable and the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I don't understand how it was easier to lose the sale then fix the mix up.

I had my roof done in 2017. I recently had a leak. In less than 10 years my roof needed repairs. I initiated the Warranty. Home Depot sent out an appraiser who assessed the damage on my roof to cost $737 to repair. Once I signed the electronic paperwork they tell me that have to go find my own roofer, get an appraisal and have my roof repaired with the $737 they cut me a check for…the repair I need on average costs $4000. When I contacted Home Depot and provided the appraisal from a licensed, insured and well rated roofing company they refused to provide the difference in the cost. I appealed it and they still refused. So I have pay $3200 out of my pocket to repair shotty workmanship on something that is still under warranty for another 16+ years. I will never do business with them again. Lowes has my loyalty from now on.

Delivery was rescheduled at the last moment three times by text. No phone call, no one asked if a new date would work for us. We canceled the order as Home Depot deliveries are unreliable. We did not buy the washing machine to wait for weeks and weeks

In April of this year, I spent nearly $6700 on new carpet and padding. Our existing carpet and padding was nearly 17 years old and had also been installed by HD too. Over those seventeen years, we had six dogs of our own and had fostered several for local rescue organizations so lots of carpet cleanings and pet accidents over the years. It was recommended by HD that any areas of heavy dog smell we treat by painting the floor with Kilz. 2 weeks prior to the June install we took all of the carpeting and padding, including the tack strips and staples out, treated any areas we felt were concerning for future odor issues with Kilz. At the sales representative's excited suggestion we had chosen Pet Proof carpet, which is guaranteed to remain pet stain/odor free for 25 years but more exciting still, we had chosen a product called Lifeproof carpet padding, which is guaranteed for the life of the carpet it is originally installed under. The padding has a heavy plastic sheeting on both sides of the foam core which, according to the representative, would both help in keeping any existing odors in the subfloor trapped underneath the carpet pad and keep any new potential accidents from ever getting to the subfloor. I believe it is the most expensive carpet padding that they carry and we actually went with a lesser grade carpet density to afford it. 2 days before the install, we moved our two large aquariums (58 & 75 gallons) and all of the fish into the kitchen and bathroom. Because we had taken all the carpet out we were walking on bare subfloor and had put towels down to accommodate the drips that inevitably happened moving that much water, fish, rocks, plants and driftwood. By the morning of install with the exception of the two beds, there was no furniture in my home on any of the areas to be carpeted meaning all of the subfloor was clean, accessible and visible. Within the first 2 weeks we had our first water accident on the floor when I caught the dog water dish with the cord of the vacuum cleaner and overturned it. We immediately cleaned it up and were excitedly impressed the next morning when the area was bone dry, even with socks on. Within a month, I was finding hard knots in areas of every room of the house. I called the carpet installers to complain thinking they had left something underneath the carpet. They wanted to send the original workman back out to address the issue but scheduling that took three months due to a myriad of serious family medical issues. In September they returned and attempted to address the issues by pounding on each lump with a hammer! it was explained to me that sometimes in the process of stretching carpet, loose particles of the subfloor can get pulled upright causing the lumps which considering the plastic sheeting on the back of the carpet pad made absolutely no sense to me.But since I don't install carpet, I didn't feel like I could offer up much of an argument. i did express concern that it might damage the carpet backing or the carpet pad itself and was assured that it would not. One of the lumps, the largest of them after about twenty poundings by a hammer, turned into a dip instead of a lump so the carpet seam was opened and the carpet was pulled back. I saw the circular water stain as soon as the carpet was pulled up which reminded me about the water spill right after install. i explained what happened while they cut an x shaped opening in the wonder product Lifeproof pad. Under the pad the subfloor was revealed to be wet with a hole that had been pounded clear through it, and a couple of little volcanoes of expanded subfloor that had bubbled up around that. Lots of pictures were taken.I was promised copies of them.I was never provided them and then the installers were just going to simply pull everything back together and reseal the carpet seam with a hole in my floor because they don't repair that. I went out and found a piece of metal to put over the hole before they closed up the carpet. I have spoken to HD. I have spoken to Lifeproof I have spoken to the company that installed my carpet and all of them have absolved themselves from any responsibility.Told me my subfloor was damaged before the carpet was ever put down and that none of this is their fault. I'm sorry, my subfloor was fully visible and if it was that damaged, why was I not told? Why did it not feel spongy? Why were there no holes in it? Why were there no teepees of subfloor bubbling up then if it was so damaged? For Christ's sakes, we were walking around on it for 2 weeks with no carpet on it. considering where the other lumps that were pounded out were located. I'm 99 percent sure there are probably small bubbled up subfloor spots from where water was dripped while moving the aquariums so meaning there might have been a small amount of moisture residing below the surface of the subfloor. Plastic backing does not allow for any airflow meaning any moisture at all is trapped. the place where the water was built that has the hole in it is just a flat failure of the product completely because water most certainly got all the way through to the subfloor. The subfloor was not soaking wet like it is now at the time of install. Since my first complaint I have had them send me in writing that Kilz should never be used on a subfloor and that use of that contributed to the problem. i have also been informed that fish tanks void the warranty on the carpet pad yet the sales representative and I discussed at length the joys of keeping fish and her wishing she had a spot for a fish tank.. Lifeproof has flat out denied that the water spill could have possibly leaked through the pad and caused the problem.Yet here we are with a hole in my floor that is still that is spreading because, the moisture can't go anywhere so it just continues to spread. I see others with everything from same subfloor damage, to mold existing underneath their Lifeproof pad, complaining about it on Reddit, yet was told that my complaint was the first one they'd ever heard about and I was dismissed just as quickly. I'm in the process of looking for an attorney and for ways to connect with these other people that have had failure of this product.

The worst of all retail stores. One return that only required a credit to my HOME DEPOT credit card took me four visits, five phone calls, and at least five hours standing in front of a customer service employee or manager. INSANE. Every single time they told me that I had to come into the store for them to process the return, even though they kept my returned items. I was ready to give up entirely, but ONE dedicated employee convinced me to try one more time. They also got my order of flooring wrong, didn’t show up until 6pm when they were supposed to deliver at 8am, and never answered phone or emails regarding my flooring order. I got a Home Depot credit card with 24 months zero interest, but when the bill came it did not reflect the zero interest special. That took countless visits and calls to correct. Never again will I do business with them, AND I tell everyone that will listen not to shop there. I would give them a minus 10, but for the one good employee. WORST.

Online ordering program is not efficient!! Program runs very slow and just becomes a waste of time. When tring to finalize a purchase, waiting for a code for verification, isn't worth the time either. Online purchases in the world is a great time saver in general, but Home Depot online program is more like dial-up. Shame on the company's leader to offer this service that is so inadequate.

It took me an hour and 5 people to get a refund for a delivery. Dave the manager at the Macomb twp, Mi store blamed it on being a online order. Here's the thing his store delivered the wrong fridge. Don't they look at the product before they deliver to make sure it's correct? The fridge had to be returned and I received the credit for the fridge but not the delivery. I was being charged for a delivery fee for a fridge that was the wrong size but delivered. According to the Online customer service it was still delivered doesn't matter that it was the wrong one. For some reason no one could comprehend that it was the wrong fridge. Doesn't matter how it was ordered, I ordered the correct size, the wrong size was delivered by Home Depot. Finally like Dave was doing me this great favor I got the delivery fee credited. But it took 1 hour, 4 phone calls and 5 people. Keep up the good work Home Depot.
