Subject: Lack of Customer Assistance at Home Depot – The Woodlands (Research Forest Location) Dear Home Depot Customer Service / Store Management, I visited your The Woodlands store on Research Forest on August 18, 2025, and had a highly disappointing experience. I searched for about 15–20 minutes to find the items I needed but had no luck in finding the item or locating an associate. I asked the cashier clerk to make a PA announcement requesting assistance in aisle 15. Though I heard the announcement, no one came to help. I then noticed a young female employee leaning over carpet displays, deeply focused on her phone and texting. She showed no awareness of customers around her, even though I approached her, she remained unresponsive. Despite continuing to look for help throughout the store—including passing by this same employee again in the same position—I never received any assistance. Frustrated, I left and went to Lowe’s instead. This level of service is unacceptable. I hope Home Depot addresses this to ensure other customers don’t face the same lack of support.

Placed a $6000 order & was told at the pro desk that the brackets did come with the handrail kit when they were delivered there was no brackets my daughter went to homedepot to ask about the brackets & was told they did not come with the handrail kit it was our problem & could order more & she was treated badly by a homedepot employee her name is Kylie she would be better off working in the back were she had no contact with the public it looks like the thousands of dollars we spent at homedepot each year will now be spent at Lowes I tried calling the store for over a hour no one would answer& you would get disconnected

The absolute worst! This is my 15th call!! The phone disconnects and no one calls back at all . Then when you get a manager they are 1000 times worse.

Home Depot is no longer a hardware store. Its nothing more than a hobby supply. Staffed by individuals who dont know the difference between a nut & bolt. And they no longer carry every day repair parts like replacement tips for soldering guns that they sell. Capacitors to repair your furnace or ac. O rings to repair your water filter. The last 5 times ive gon to home depot they did not have the things I needed. The locale Ace Hardware 2 miles down the road had them.

They didn’t want to honor an 18 months same as cash letter that I have received from Home Depot on my credit card. Called customer service told her that I will buy these $3500 with a product at Lowe’s and was basically told to go ahead. Apparently, Home Depot doesn’t need my business or my $3500.

Extremely disappointed in my experience with the Home Depot and the managers at my store have ignored our concerns. I ordered a front door in MARCH, so not a cheap thing. Custom door so it was going to take about a month. Ok, not a problem! Well was I ever WRONG!! The first time it was delivered to the store and it was broken. So the door had to be reordered. Ok, these things happen. But, then second time, the wrong size door was ordered and delivered to our house. We had to wait another month for the installers to arrive to put it in. They arrive and open the package up and discover it was not right, they leave it in the driveway and we had to call Home Depot to sort it out. They wouldn't order the new door until the delivery company would come pick it back up. Why do we have to wait for YOU to fix a mistake YOU made. Then the delivery company sends an old man to pick it up. He can't load this door! Luckily my husband and son are home and THEY had to load it onto the delivery truck. The delivery company blames Home Depot for the screw up and Home Depot blames the delivery company. I've been paying for this door since March and the door hasn't even been reordered yet. I've stopped into the Home Depot no less then 10 times to find out where my door is. They keep saying it's been ordered but I never received confirmation paperwork and the manager is "not there" whenever I stop in. I call, no call back. I email, no email back. So where is my door??? AUGUST, OVER 5 MONTHS LATER.

Avoid their delivery service! Wish I had seen these reviews first. Went to the local store to buy a lawnmower (not a riding mower, just a simple electric mower) and they were out of the one I wanted. Scanned the QR code above the rack to order online with “free next day delivery”. Two days later with no communication ahead of time the delivery service claims they “attempted delivery” and would reschedule. It was at a time when I was home and there was nothing on my ring doorbell so I’m not sure what they even attempted. A few days go by without any updates and I had to argue my way through customer service to finally cancel the order because nobody could tell me where it was. Attempted to order online a second time and again the delivery service claims they’ve tried to deliver with no prior communication and nothing on my ring doorbell. This lawnmower just needs to be placed on my doorstep like every other delivery so I have no idea what they are doing and why they claim they can’t deliver. Looks like I’ll have to go back through their awful customer service again and I will never spend another dime with them.

What a joke. I ordered online. 12 paver stones and 2 bottles of liquid fertilizer. My delivery cost was as much as I was going to pay for the products.

Purchased a window ac unit on my Home Depot card on July 13 which turned out to be defective. As I was out of town my grandson returned the unit on July 21 with the original receipt. Without any explanation the cashier gave store credit instead of crediting my Home Depot card. My grandson even talked to the store manager why this happened. He didn’t have a clue. After I made numerous calls to customer service, calls to 2 store managers, and numerous emails this issue still has not been resolved. No one seems to have a clue on how to resolve this issue. Get your act together Home Depot and train your employees to better problem solve simple situations like this. Will be closing my account so I do not have deal with incompetent employees such as yours anymore.

A lawnmower delivery date was 8/8/25 was gi en on 8/1/25. On 8/8/25, the delivery date was changed to 8/11/25. Two attempts were made to speak with a representative on 8/8/25 and both calls were disconnected. I made a mistake last year when I purchased a bathroom vanity that stains with any type of liquid and now I am concerned about the delivery of the lawn mower. The late arrival caused loss of wages the company should be liable for not honoring the contract.

Atrocious customer service and slipshod vendors. I ordered a set of McCourt low profile window well covers to replace ones that were damaged in a hailstorm. The order came in 2 shipments, both to be delivered to the local Home Depot store. The first shipment of 4 smaller covers arrived at my home address instead of the store. One cover had been cracked before it was packaged but I had to use it due to water from our sprinkler system and possible rainstorms. I took a photo of the damage and explained to customer service that I needed to leave it on the well until I received a replacement. Despite the photo showing clear damage, the local store insisted that I return it before they would order a new one and they were inflexible to consider my needs. The delivery tracker showed the other shipment on the delivery truck the same day as shipment of 4 covers, but it was not delivered. After 3 days the tracker still showed the shipment location on the delivery truck. I inquired why the shipment had not been delivered and it turned out it had been delivered to the store, but hadn't been logged in, so the store apparently sat on it for a few days. As a side note, these McCourt well covers are made of cheap plastic that oxidizes and becomes very brittle after a few months of exposure. In my opinion, they have become even cheaper than the earlier ones I've used.

Significant kitchen remodel underway including new cabinets, fixtures, and appliances. Purchased electric range 7/4/2025 and was delivered 7/11/2025 as agreed. Noticed our choice of range was not compatible with the island location in cabinet design. Drove the 30+ miles to Home Depot store #1404 in Ft. Smith,AR and asked for exception to 48 hour return deadline to return range and purchase more expensive range designed for island location. Was told Vic would have to make that decision and was unavailable, but would call within an hour. Waited all day, called store two times and put on hold for 15+ minutes each time until giving up. Vic finally called about 4:00PM and very directly told me no exception can be made. The range we purchased has not been moved from the delivery position, nor used, nor stickers etc removed. We had purchased lights, plumbing fixtures, and other kitchen fixtures earlier. I acknowledge it was my error for selecting the wrong style range, but I am extremely disappointed in Vic and Home Depot for not considering some exception. I will not be back and will tell others why.

I currently have two very young boys at my house trying to install my gas stove. They had to borrow my vice grips. They had to ask me what to do. I had to point out what was the cap. They couldn't even get it off. Really, home depot? I would have been willing to pay a little more to get someone who knew what they were doing.

Trying to call the store for install info for my new garbage disposal /was placed on hold for more than six minutes / call the store again and without answering they placed the call on hold. Very RUDE! They really need help at this store. Poor customer service. Wish I had went across the street at Lowe’s!

Placed order for a dishwasher. Email said that I would receive an email to notify when the delivery would take place. Never got it! Call from an unknown number came at 6:36 this morning went to voicemail because we don't answer calls from unknown numbers. At 7:19, according to Ring camera that dishwasher was here. Told the guy that we never got any notification the night before via email as the email said. Asked for 2 minutes to get to the door. Opened the door at 7:22, again, according to the Ring camera, to the truck pulling away! Couldn't believe it. Never ordering anything from Home Depot again.

So we ordered new kitchen appliances in May as we bought a new house here in West Virginia. Knowing that the appliances needed to be tested within 48 hours we put off the delivery until July after a new gas line was run for the stove. July 28 was the set delivery date between 7 AM and 11 AM. I took the day off work because my husband could not. At 10 minutes after seven my husband received a call saying that they would be there by 7:20. At 8:15 I received an email saying they were not going to deliver. I called customer service and they said that they couldn’t bring their truck up our Driveway. The company delivers in West Virginia every day, but they can’t get to my house even though both UPS and FedEx deliver to my house regularly. They said that they would have to reschedule with a smaller truck. I waited for over 24 hours before finally deciding I’m going to have to contact them to get this rescheduled. Well, they tried to put me off for two weeks. I told him that it was not happening. We had already removed all of our appliances from the house the Sunday prior to the first delivery. So delivery was scheduled for today, which is July 30. I again had to call them for a delivery window at 7:15. The lady told me delivery is scheduled between seven and 11. I again had to take the day off work because they do not deliver on the weekend. I stayed in the house waiting either for a phone call or them to just show up. At a quarter after 11 I decided I needed to call because it didn’t look like they were going to show up again. Customer service said oh they said that they were already there and knocked and no one was home. I told the lady I have not left my house. I’ve been waiting for them. I even called at 7:15 so you think I ran out of my house between 715 and 8 o’clock knowing that these people were coming? The lady apologize to the customer service was very good. She was very kind and very helpful. I will never buy from Home Depot again. This is $7000 in appliances. The lady did tell me oh you do know that they are supposed to install your appliances for you at least the stove. I said they can’t get up my hill and they don’t know how to knock on the door so you really think that they’re competent enough to install a gas stove? I said I don’t think so. I’ll let my husband do that. He’s a whole lot more competent than these delivery people. Home Depot has really gone downhill. I have learned my lesson and will not purchase things like this from them ever again. This is why these big companies end up going out of business for lack of customer service. I will call the Better Business Bureau after I get my appliances and also the manager of the store in which we purchased The Appliances through to let them know about how disappointed I am. We have literally purchased thousands of dollars of flooring, paint appliances, even a lawnmower over the last couple of months. Just very sad.

I have purchased at least 4 appliances and never had a delivery problem. My most recent purchase of an expensive dishwasher was a nightmare. I have restrictions on my availability and asked for an accommodation. I was told it could not be made. I am closing my account and going to Loewes ….
