After using Hotter online for years, I have to report my disgust that they took money from my account on 23 May and on 4 June, I have yet to receive my shoes! I have tried phoning and waited on a line for 10 minutes listening to stupid music and have emailed them twice to no avail. I won't be buying from Hotter again!

First, the order took weeks to arrive. Next, the shoes were like cardboard..nothing "soft" about them. There was no arch support whatsoever and they were abysmally uncomfortable. Pay Less has better shoes for a lot less...ugh!!!!

Purchased 2 pairs of Chile shoes recently to be collected in store. I went to the Nottingham store to collect them so that I could look at them try them on before leaving the shop. Although the shoes fitted I was very disappointed with the quality of the shoes. The leather was unlined and the shoes themselves offered little support to my feet whilst wearing them. The insole was also of poor quality and offered little cushioning. As the leather was unlined it became obvious to me that over a period of a few weeks the shoes would stretch so much that they would become unwearable as my feet would be sliding all around the shoes themselves, and so the purchase price of £65 would be £65 wasted. I had my money refunded for both pairs. I went to another shop and purchased a pair of sandals paying £80, but do feel confident that the quality of those goods, leather, construction etc. means that I will be wearing them in comfort several years from now. Personally, I would rather pay a little more initially and obtain a pair of shoes that I know will last more than a few weeks or months. I have bought several pairs of shoes over the years from Hotter but if I am honest with myself only one of these pairs has lasted well and that it from the Jewel range.

ordered 5 pairs of shoes. They did not let me know one pair had been discontinued, or notify me when shipped and a very long customer service phone wait and it took over two weeks to receive the shoes. They were all too short and I always wear the same size of shoes, I returned all four pairs and usps tracking told me when they were received by company. It was three days before they were checked in and started credit process. They said I should receive credit soon but will not say when and I am still waiting.

hotter shoes are very poor quality where are they being made these days my latest pair have started falling apart after less than one weeks wear As I have had these shoes a while and.no receipt I have moved house and changed my bank and can not produce them As I still have three pairs of shoes and two pairs of sandals that are unworn in the original boxes with Hotter printed all over the shoes that should be good enough.I am not the only one with this problem as there are numerous posts on line about disintegrating hotter shoes so no receipt no help an easy get out.

Has anyone experienced my situation. I received the ordered shoes and was pleased with what I saw. However, when I opened the box a horrendous odor was released. The best I could describe was a gassy chemical smell. I put them outside on the porch. After a week or more when I checked the shoes they still gave off a strong odor. I called the customer service and was told that there should not be any odor. I asked if they were a synthetic and was told they are leather. The sent me another pair. Same situation and out on the porch they went. After two weeks I convinced myself there was an improvement and wore them. My eyes started to burn and I did leave them in my bedroom overnight. During the night I became really ill with a really strong allergy attack. This is a bad situation and should be addressed. Hoping the Co. reads these reviews, however they will be hearing from me.

I bought a pair of Mystery boots on 25/09/2015 for £95 hoping the price would confirm their comfort and warmth. They were the coldest boots I have ever had and, to add insult to injury, the zips started to unravel and phoned Hotter to check about returns and at no time was advised that I could take them back to the sort to be refunded. I was sent a postage paid label which was good and posted them on the Monday. It took almost 2 weeks for them to confirm receipt (which I will admit may have been Royal Mail). There was another phone call in which I was told I could have credit for them but because it had been back in September that I had bought them (but had not worn them much bearing in mind that it wasn't cold then and they weren't the warmest of boots anyway) I would only be allowed to have vouchers to the same amount. Miffed but was well aware that Customer Service were going to stick their heels in when I requested a cheque and was refused, so accepted rather than have the boots back or a replacement pair. It took another week to get the vouchers to me. I have been in to the Hotter branch instore at Gloucester Garden Centre (where I bought them from) and the two ladies in there could not have been more pleasant and helpful. Sadly I was told that, I had I returned them there, I would have had a refund onto my card but the time was past. I have bought 2 pairs of sandals in the 2 for £95 range and am keeping my fingers crossed. It is the last time that I will buy a pair of Hotter shoes, so yet another customer lost. Do they not read any feedback for see what customers are saying ??

I buy Hotter shoes because they are meant to be made in the UK and up to now they all seem to have been, but I have just bought a pair of PORT shoes and they are made in China. Why do they not say where they are made in the brochure. Anyway after about 15 pairs of shoes there will be no more.

My husbands mother regularly bought my husband Hotter shoes for xmas. The last 3 pairs have been dreadful. The last pair totally disintegrated on both the sole and around where the sole is attached to the shoe. Hotter customer services do not wish to know about it. they have said that because they were bought by a 3rd party their guarantee is not transferable. My m. I. l has now passed away so she is unable to contact hotter herself.. Absolutely deplorable customer service. I am thinking of contacting Trading Standards over this. Would NOT buy these shoes ever again.

Hotter conditions state: "If you wish us to exchange your goods the return shipping is free, however, if you are returning them for a refund using our pre- paid service we will charge you £2.50 to cover our costs" They neglect to mention that they also deduct the original postage costs, so returning my boots cost me £4.50 + £2.50 = £7. Very misleading, I wont be dealing with them or recommending them.

I ordered a pair of boots in the first week of November. They had to be backordered and were finally shipped out on November 26th. That's OK, but then I got a phone call saying they couldn't be delivered - a first for me - I asked why and got no answer except they couldn't be delivered, so they would have to ship them out again. I called a few days ago to find out where they are and ask if I could track the delivery. All I got was, "They should be there any day now." How unprofessional and vague! If these boots don't fit and have to be returned, (as happened to me with another pair of boots from Hotter) I will take my business elsewhere. I was told this last time when I called that the label had fallen off the package and that's why they couldn't be delivered. They neglected to tell me that when they called the first time. It is now Dec. 22nd and I am still waiting for these boots!

I didn't have a problem with their actual shoes but they have the worst customer service I have ever experienced in at least a decade of online shopping. They refused to listen to or believe my concerns about overcharging and the issue took months and numerous emails and phone calls to resolve. I would definitely not recommend this company.

I have bought several pairs of Hotter shoes over the years and I have been very pleased with them. However on the last two pairs I purchased the rubber soles deteriorated and broke up. I have just put on a pair of ankle boots which have only been worn once about twelve months ago and the rubber on the heels just crumbled away. It is such a shame to have to throw them away when they have had such little wear.

I ordered a pair of Hotter shoes four weeks ago and have just been informed, on my fourth phone call to the company, that they are no longer available. On my third phone call, I was informed that they were going to be dispatched the next day. Obviously not. Why it took four weeks to be told that they were out of shock is a mystery. Plus, I have had to contact them and have received no communication. They clearly have major problems with their stock control and dispatch.

Please do not waste your time ordering from this company. I placed an order on the 20th of September for shoes required for a holiday on the 30th September. Surprise suprise it's now the 15th of October and I'm still waiting. Would not normally have bothered so much however received my credit card statement and my account was debited on the 10th of October. No emails nothing. I order a lot online and this is the poorest customer service ever!!!!!!,

I regret to inform you that the service at your outlet at Burleydam Garden Centre,Chester Road, Little Sutton was appalling. This was totally in contrast to our previous excellent experience of dealing with your Company. The assistant at Burleydam was extremely rude, sarcastic ,belligerent and very unhelpful. Her attitude towards us caused amazement to passers by and to us,we could not believe that someone could be so offensive. As a result we left without making any purchase.
