I bought a pair of Ethan shoes size 11 having bought a number of different Hotter shoes over the years, all of which fitted perfectly. But these were far too tight and unwearable. So that's a warning. I was disappointed with the unimaginative customer service which would not allow me to return them outside the 30 day period. Previously Hotter delivered to EU where I am and this time I had to have them delivered to someone in the UK to bring them to me. By the time they managed this the period was over. I wrote to ask if they would extend the period, not just to return them, but I would then try an alternative shoe instead. They simply quoted their contract terms and refused. This seems a pretty shortsighted approach from a company working its way out of financial difficulties and especially disappointing for a long term and hitherto satisfied (now former) customer.

I returned four pairs of shoes to Hotter via Royal Mail. I have waited the fourteen days as stated for my refund but despite two telephone calls to Customer Services I still have not received my refund and I was told to ring again next week. Apparently there is a delay and everyone is working really hard (from home no doubt as the assistant I have just spoken to had her television on so loud I could hardly hear her) Not very professional and certainly not helping the reputation of Hotter.

I have had to throw out about a dozen Hotter shoes over the past few years as the soles were breaking up and were literally falling to pieces. The uppers were perfect as none of the shoes had been worn much. I have complained to Hotter and sent pictures but they insist there is nothing wrong with their manufacture of the soles. Hotter shoes and sandals suit my feet but extremely disappointed with the soles. No pictures currently available

The quality is so poor. I've been a customer for years. Sent sandals back last week. Now another pair going back. Photo shows the difference in size and quality. So disappointed the one on right Maddy perfect. The left one Sol flimsy much narrower awful.

I love hotter shoes, although can be very pricey, I have always enjoyed the comfort they bring to my feet. But I am so DISAPPOINTED at the range of boots now. Ever pair is flat, like hiking boots. I last purchases 3 pairs of lovely boots with a comfortable 2 - 3 inch heal but best of all they had ZIPS ON BOTH SIDES ! I suffer with swollen feet and this was a lifesaver for me, but no where is the new range are they now, why of why has this style to taken off, we are now all hikers, some of us still need a bit of glamour and a smart, fashionable pair of ankle boots but still have the comfort and easy to fit elements, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring this style back, I would happy pay for them !

The last two pairs of hotter shoes I have bought were summer shoes. In both pairs they had a loose inner sole and every time I took my feet out of them it came out. They are not the type of shoes you can wear any type of socks with so I have found this a real nuisance. I contacted Hotter but they said just stick them down yourself with some double sided tape. This isn’t ideal and not a great customer service response to a very annoying problem.

£8.45 return postage unacceptable. The shoes were wrongly described as Ice White. They were grey. DO NOT USE POSTAGE RETURN.

Quality has deteriorated over the past year. One shoe will fit, the other is way off size. Leather is poor quality and shoes are blocky and poor fit. Shoe sizing from style to style is inconsistent. Have had a very difficult time getting proper info to mail returns. Hotter Shoes had been a staple in my closet for years but I will no longer buy the product. I’m so, so disappointed.

I have a lovely pair of Hotter shoes, but had to return the 2nd pair I bought as too narrow. A Royal Mail pre paid label was enclosed with the original order and used. My refund came quickly but minus £7.00. Not good.

Bought my second pair of Hotter. First pair were shoes which gave me blisters first time I wore them.Second pair are Ellery boots. Thought I’d wear them around the house before going outside. What a mistake both pair are so uncomfortable and for me a waste of money.

Hotter service is excellent, it is the shoes that are the problem. Used to be great fitting, well made and comfortable. I have returned various pairs lately because of faults or bad styling - what has happened to Hotter? The latest pair 'Cosmos' are made very large with a seam joint at the heel to accommodate a tab which leaves a bulge which digs into your heel - awful!

Customer service was of no help to me. Hassle free returns is a joke to them. I've been trying for a week to get a return label. Still don't have it. Horrible customer service!

Comfortable but faulty! I ordered a few pairs of Hotter shoes from Debenhams they were all faulty in some way, either glue showing, tessel not put on straight or wonky shoe.

I have been buying Hotter shoes for years now without any problems, but on one of my last purchases the laces broke, this as happened in the past and I have contacted Hotter and a new pair arrive quickly, however this time they refused, I am a good customer online or via their shops when we could travel, laces and inserts were never a problem before and this why my wife and I always bought their shoes because of the after care but now they are just another shoe shop.

CAREFULLY CHECKED PRECISE FOOT MEASUREMENTS BUT WHEN ORDER ARRIVED TOO NARROW. TRYING TO TELEPHONE ANG GET INFORMATION ON QUESTION REGARDING RETURN AND REPLACEMENT THE MOST DIFFICULT EVER EXPERIENCED. PERSON WHO ANSWERED PHONE AFTER 32 MINUTES WAIT IMPOSSIBLE TO HEAR CLEARLY AND CALL KEPT CUTTING OUT, SHE DISCONNECTED CALL. WILL NOT ORDER ONLINE DURING LOCKDOWN WHEN CANNOT RETURN GOODS TO SHOP

I have purchased 5 pairs of boots over time, all the uppers are in excellent condition but the soles and heels have disintegrated and have proven to be quite dangerous in some disintegration circumstances. It is a pity really, as the boots are very comfortable, fashionable and still in as new except the crumbled soles/heels. If one was a sceptic, one could think there was a built in obsolescence in order to boost sales.

I ordered boots and received a confirmation email stating that I would receive an email when they were dispatched. I didn't receive that for 7 days so mailed them, and twice more after that, no reply. Called but was put on hold for ever, after a few days I chose the "sales" option on the phone and then I got through. It appeared that my order wasn't dispatched at all yet ( 2 weeks after the order) Two days later they dispatched them. It took another 2 weeks to arrive.

I was really needing some soft boots and they looked lovely. When they arrived I put them on and went out in them. Yes they are lovely and soft and a nice colour, but, the right boot looks as if it was made in a completely different factor from the left. Different shape and looks puckered, obviously not sewn in properly or the pattern was cut out wrongly. Wider than the left too. Very disappointing.

Ordered Pacific wedges. Delivery time fine but not the shoes. My feet are somewhat dainty but I couldn't even get the strap into the first hole! Return is through a shop outside our area in London- no parking. Husband did the 35/ 40 minutes walk in the heatwave (90 plus degrees) and he's 81. You need a local returns point. And free returns. Shame really because Hotter used to be so good.
