Although the sandals were wide, the bit in the middle between the 2 straps on the sides of my feet was hard and hurt so I returned them. The postage paid for delivery (£3.95) was not refunded and it cost an additional £2.50 to return the sandals. So trying on and returning uncomfortable sandals cost £6.45...I won't buy from them again. I'll get Pavers or Teva.

I must have purchased more than forty pairs of boots and shoes from Hotter over the last ten years, and I have no complaints whatever. I have found their staff very helpful, their deliveries often next day, and their refunds prompt. Their products are wonderfully comfortable to wear and I have never had any problem with quality. A frequently worn pair of shoes will last two to three years, and even the older shoes are easy to keep looking good with the use of the excellent renovating polish, which I think is the best shoe treatment on the market, so no complaints about how long they last. I have had four operations on my feet, and now I rarely wear any other brand. The fact that the insoles can be replaced is a bonus, and I cannot understand why anyone complains about them coming out when shoes are taken off. This has only happened to me when wearing summer shoes with bare feet, when the insole sticks to the feet, and can be remedied by rubbing a little talcum over clean feet before putting the shoes on. It never happens when socks or tights are worn. I have no connection whatever to Hotter, but I am a retired businesswoman, and I simply cannot stand back and see some of these criticisms go unchallenged. Some critics may indeed have grounds for complaint, but they should contact the Managing Director if they feel their complaint is not being taken seriously, not trash the reputation of a good British company like this. After all, out of all the tens of thousands of customers Hotter must have, only 154 comments have three or fewer stars. So clearly, for everyone who feels the need to make a negative public comment rather than a constructive complaint to senior management, there are tens of thousands of happy customers who, like me, simply show their appreciation of Hotter by buying again and again.

My husband bought a pair of Hotter shoes last year, left them in the box in the bottom of the wardrobe, got them out this year and after ONE wear the soles disintegrated! We paid cash and have no record of purchase. Hotter do not have an e mail address that is visible so i can not send these photos to them. I have checked online and there are numerous people that have the same problem.( see a selection below) I am still waiting for Hotter to get back to me on this matter. COME ON HOTTER, you have a reputation to protect.

Hotter shoes are really good and wear very well. There is no doubt about that at all. I love wearing hotter shoes in the summer specially as some shoes chafe my feet when worn without socks. Hotter shoes feel so light and comfortable on my feet that its a pleasure to walk in them. I would also like to mention the store manager Paul at the Lakeside Doncaster store. He is a gentleman and very courteous and polite and couldn't be more helpful to customers. He goes out of his way to be helpful and the orders that I have placed in store with him have always been on time and I couldn't recommend this store more to people. I am very happy and extremely satisfied with Hotter shoes and the store in Doncaster.

Absolute rubbish. Take a look at the photos below and make your own mind up. Terrible customer service. Won't accept any responsibility for shoes that are not fit for purpose. I was told that the shoes that i had purchased as a brand new pair were actually old shoes and Deborah the lady from hotter who I spoke with could not remember if it was 10 or 12 years since they made that style of shoe and that the reason they had crumbled away on the first day of wear around the house was because they were old? How am I supposed to know that the brand new shiny pair of shoes I purchased were new/old shoes? ABSOLUTE JOKE STEER WELL CLEAR.

If you plan to wear them dont buy any of the Hotter range. If you wear them a lot the soles fall apart, if you wear them intermittently the soles fall apart, if you save them for a special occasion the soles fall apart. The company will tell you it’s your fault as you’ve worn them too much or not at all. The problem is in the synthetic soles, they don’t have the longevity of other manufacturers and Hotter won’t admit it.

I have bought lots of Hotter shoes over the years but have found that the soles of many of them have disintegrated after only having been worn a few times. I now discover from reading other reviews that this is a common occurrence with Hotter footwear. When I complained, sending a pair back for them to inspect, I was still fobbed off, which apparently seems to be the way other similar complaints have been dealt with. This was obviously a widespread, serious problem which should have been addressed, instead of being ignored. Extremely disappointing, especially as I always liked their styles, coupled with comfort. And, sadly, Customer Service very poor.

I will never buy Hotter shoes again. The soles literally rot away when having been used for a very short time. This is the third pair, get a grip Hotter your composition soles are absolute rubbish. Buyer beware. I sent an email with photos to customer complaints for the first pair, and they were so unhelpful. Never again.

Was originally recommended to buy Hotter shoes by my podiatrist. I still have some of my oldest purchases, which were fine. The soles of my last two pairs soon started to split and then completely crumbled and disintegrated while I was walking. I now learn that this has been a known problem for several years.

For the last few years I've exclusively bought Hotter shoes. They would also deliver to my work. But a few months ago they failed to deliver to my work, they took my money and didn't notify me they hadn't shipped my shoes, and I had to contact them to get my money back. I still wanted the shoes but they told me they can't deliver to my work address (that they had previously delivered to and where I never get a y problems delivering anything, it's central London). I then went to a shop to get a pair of shoes. The shoes fell apart after a few months, and I still thought I would give Hotter another try and try and deliver it to a different also central London address, where no other company in the whole world has any problems delivering to. I again didn't receive my package, not a word from them, and they took my money. Had to contact them again, and they simply told me they never took my money (then where is it!?) and they can't deliver to this address either. Maybe I've been somehow blacklisted? I mean they can't be this incompetent in delivering their product to central London can they? Well I told them my money is gone, and I'm sure they'll refund me. But so disappointing to see a company not caring to take care of their customers one bit. I think I'll go with a different company now, I give up. Your shoes fall apart after a few months anyway.

Have over the last couple of years bought your ladies lace up brogues, tasseled loafers whisper boots x2 pairs and 3 pairs of sandals all have been lovely had slippers Xmas 2018 suede a bit frumpy but so supportive and comfy. Thought I'd try the new animal print mule Xmas 2019 and I'm so disappointed, very solid , uncomfortable and nothing like the quality. Also bought my husband the suede moccasin slipper almost a year ago and after a couple of weeks wear the backs don't stay up so they are quite dangerous, spoke to one of the sales ladies in the Hotter store and she said she had bought them for her husband too and the same thing happened as he is not happy with his either🤷‍♀️ What has happened to your quality Hotter!! You also seem to have removed reviews from customers on each style on your site which I always found helpful. Is this because the reviews were getting poor I wonder.

Terrible customer support. Bought a pair of Tamara Boots size 5 in Maroon colour online for £42 which were delivered after few days. Opened the box to double check colour and size and it looked fine. But when I wore the boots recently it caused me so much discomfort and pain. I called customer service to arrange a replacement for wide fit but they said its not available. I then asked to arrange a return but they slapped me with a strict 30 days return policy and refused to arrange return. I explained the reason for delay because I only wore the boots now and experienced so much pain. I was just a week over 30 days windows. The boots are clearly not suitable for my feet and its totally unfair to expect me to take the loss of £42 to my chin. Distance selling regulations allow me to replace a product that's not suitable but they ignored me. I'm now going to open PayPal dispute and will do everything to ensure they don't get away with my hard earned money.

They are thieves who, in spite of saying free shipping and returns, they accept the return but do not credit your account. I had to file a dispute with my credit card company to be reimbursed by my credit card company, but they did not respond to my repeated and numerous calls and emails. They are very rude too. Some people must have given these charlatans that the American public can be treated this way.

I ordered a pair of hotter shoes in the hotter sale with a discount voucher, the shoes were dispatched, the wrong size, the wrong colour, the wrong material, I telephoned to find out how to return, filled out the voucher saying I would still like the correct pair of shoes resent, the lady I spoke to did not say they would not be available. After about 4 weeks I rang to see when I would receive the shoes and was told they did not have any in stock and the lady I spoke to before should have sent out the correct pair straight away, I asked when they might be available and was told he did not know when or if they would have them in again and the next delivery was not due until September it’s now the beginning of August, this is Hotter I am speaking to not a retailer. The man just kept offering a refund, to say I am disappointed is an understatement, I ordered the shoes to go with a dress for an event, clearly this I missed, but I would have still liked the shoes, but was told they could not guarantee their availability. The return form which I completed asked if I would like a replacement sent which I ticked, the man said they did not automatically resend out replacements despite this being on the form and talking to someone before I sent them back. Nobody rang when I sent the shoes back to say they were not available I had to chase up the order, very disappointing experience, I am now waiting for a refund. I will not use this company again

Shoes might be ok but can't say much positive about returns. I sent 2 pairs of shoes back on 5 October and still waiting for refund on 7 November. 3 phone calls and still waiting for refund, very very poor, will not buy online again from this company

Terrible shoes - soles crumbled away just trying them on and walking across the room - my son emailed them and arranged for them to phone me - but they did not do that nor have they even tried to sort the problem out, - expensive shoes that were a complete waste of money - will not be buying again - should be ashamed of themselves - have just read that someone else had the same problem so its just not me. Beware - !!!

Terrible customer service. Shoes didn't arrive and when I rang after waiting for over a month, was told they were out of stock and the person I spoke to in customer services hung up on me. Dreadful, will never buy from Hotter shoes again.

Pair of shoes worn once. Physically bruised my tendons on both feet. Unwearable shoes. Told by hotter that couldnt return them as outside the 90 days returns policy, despite them being physically unwearable and crippling. Waste of money. Not acceptable for a company that has the word 'comfort' in their slogan!
