“Cannot believe you hand to pay for returns!”

“House of fraser itself sells quality items and deals with queries very well. The reason for my 3 stars is unfortunately because of the delivery company they choose to use. My expensive purchases were gifts and came totally battered to the point I had to return them and ask for exchanges (what a Pain!) I'm still waiting for the new items so fingers crossed they get to me in the new state you'd expect!”

“Good service, first transaction said it encountered a problem so I did it again. Received the parcel twice and had 2 payments taken. Had to return 1 item at my own cost. Product is fine but the system was poor”

“As a mother of a two month old baby going shopping for dresses in town is not an option for me at the moment so I bought 5 dresses online to try on at home. What I didn't realise was that HoF make the customer pay for postage of any returned items. I've just had to pay £10 to send them back, none of them fit nicely which is to be expected. I didn't read the small print and don't want other customers to fall foul in the same way.”

“My order was click & collect and I paid delivery charges £ 4.99 , however it was free to click and collect, it said I will receive a £ 5 voucher within my parcel but I was disappointed when my voucher was not within my parcel.”

“I collected from store and had to pay delivery, the item was too big, was told I could not return to store but had to post back at my expense. Disappointed as I’ve spent £9 and do not have the item I ordered.”

“Ordered an item which I decided not to keep. They do not allow you to return online orders in store so orders have to be posted back, at the cost of the customer. Ended up paying almost £10 in total due to delivery/returns. Not good.”

“I am happy with the overall quality of the clothing I have purchased from HOF and have purchased a lot more in store. I do have to express dissatisfaction with the online store as I ordered and paid for 3 hoodies and received one hoodie plus 2 sweaters. The person I spoke in regards to resolving this cut me off as I directly said the persons responsible for making such an error should lose their jobs. To summarise; I’m not sure if I would advise people to shop online with a company who employs incompetent staff.”

“Order arrived as arranged. Due to limited, incomplete online description associated with two items ordered, I was not satisfied & returned them successfully. I understand this is a new venture: the clothing items were good quality for their reduced price, BUT unclear in photo or description that gold lurex thread used on one & that extensive heavy beading formed the decorative feature on the other. Their catalogue pictures were inadequate.”

“First clothes order ever made from HOF and unfortunately some items didn’t fit properly, wasnt pleased to find that after paying £5 for delivery (on a big order) that I also had to pay for tracked returns at the cost of £7, have never known a company not include returns in their delivery cost, makes it rather costly to order from HOF and I probably won’t bother again”

“When I ordered a pair of Fiesely jeans it showed zip fly but I received button fly twice . To return back it costed.ne £4.85 twice for 2 jeans. So I was out of pocket of £9.70 to Send back as well as postage twice to receive.”
