“The item itself was okay but the label was ripped and looked really old - because this was a gift it just did not look presentable. Also, the invoice and returns label were printed on really old paper - it's not a massive issue I guess but it just felt like I am dealing with someone that is going out of business. Also, I was surprised that you have to pay the returns postage - nowadays this is usually covered, especially by companies that do clothing items.. not the worst, but would not order again”

“Disappointed that regardless of how much you spend you are always charged for postage. Having recently made a large order I found one item to contain a dirty mark which needed to be washed off. I contemplated returning but decided against when I saw you also have to pay to return items. Can get some bargains though.”

“I liked the item that I have purchased however i was disappointed with the packaging. I do not pretend to receive a coat of 500stg plus and arrive all crumpled in a plastic bag”

“The delivery came quick but I think in this day and age House of Fraser should review the delivery charges and refund postage charges. I mean even click and collect you have to pay.”

“Good timely delivery, however you have to pay for any returns and you cannot take items back to store. They will only issue a credit note... highly annoying because I had to pay £12 returns.”

“Disappointed with having to pay for returns and unable to pick up/collect in store free or free delivery when spend a certain amount. My order was £168 and still had to pay postage and returns. Makes me reconsider shopping here again tbh.”

“I've used HOF a LOT over the years and whilst pricing and choice is usually good, the new policy of charging for delivery and returns is slightly sickening (even on a £600 order). I've also had problems in the past getting a refund, but to be fair my most recent return was processed and refunded within hours of arriving back - I find that paying by Paypal now always seems to speed things up. Return back to free delivery and returns and I will change my review back to 5*!”

“I enjoy shopping in House of Fraser but disappointed that the loyalty points appear to have ceased. I lost £40 worth of vouchers last year owing to being unable to use my points in time when in lockdown, the assistant took the details of the vouchers and sent to head office to reissue and I've never heard back.”

“I'm really pleased with the jacket but brought it for my holiday and when I arrived on holiday it had still got the security tag in it so I couldn't wear it... it was an online order.”

“My original item came broken and couldnt be replaced as was out of stock so i was refunded and given 10% discount which was fair enough. My second item i ordered came with security tag still on so i wasnt overly impressed with the service to be honest.”

“One of my items arrived broken. It was returned. I was told it had been replaced and was on its way, but it wasn't. I now find the item is out of stock and so, even if it is restocked, I will be unable to purchase the item at the discount price. If I hadn't been given the wrong info I could have made other arrangements. Not impressive.”

“My parcel arrived on time, but it is a pity when a garment has to be returned, you have to pay the postage charge!! especially as the order was over £100, and I paid a delivery charge on top of the original bill.”

“Paying £4.99 for delivery on a £100.00 order and paying for returns sucks. I can get the same products from lots of stores for free delivery and returns. I will shop in person but not online again.”

“I like the product but what is not good is that I had to return the original item as was the wrong size and had to pay for postage and the original delivery fee so it cost me more, most companies offer a free return process for their customers which should be the same for a company as big as yours.”

“Overall good products in sale, just a drag to pay for shipping which is pricey and also returns. Some products not particularly well-wrapped and beware the Sports Direct products.”
