This is a scam, I had my kittens chipped and the vet told me I had to put my details in on their website, I’ve never done this with my other pets. I went on there and they wanted to charge me so much a year for my kittens details to be verified. I’ve paid for a chip, I’m not paying anymore. I’ve received loads of phone calls, emails and texts saying my kittens are not verified. I’ve blocked your phone number, so I won’t be answering. My kittens are wearing tags with all their details on because I do not trust this company. I’m looking in to having their chips switch to a trustworthy company.

I adopted a cat so changed fhe ownership details to me. I recently changed phone number but had to pay and J seem to be paying £3 a month. What for? No option to change membership or cancel online, unless I tell them my cat has passes away. Based on these reviews, I don't fancy my chances of being able to get hold of them via phone or email.

They’ve changed their services. Previously I was able to update my contact number by requesting a change via email. Now they say I need to upgrade my subscription (cheapest one is £30 a year) in order to make any changes so essentially expecting me to pay £30 to make sure their database is up to date. Without a correct contact number how do they expect to provide the service they’re there for: reuniting me with my potentially lost pet.

Paid for identibase premium in joining. My original certificate states; “Unlimited change of address, Addition of holiday address One-off fee for the lifetime of your pet.” Tried to make changes as telephone number needs changing, also we are moving, they want to charge me again I have requested help, I have to send them the certificate & try & find my original payment as proof. Not very impressed. Altered my other dogs on different sites No Problem! Think I will shift them all to Animal Tracker.

I’ve just moved address and am trying to update my details but it seems that I must buy a membership before they will change the address. I’ve responded twice now to say I’m not wanting membership but all they do is email me saying they can’t help. They have even said that I could be fined £500 if my pet is lost/found and I haven’t updated the details. This feels like very underhand tactics from them to force me to buy membership. Absolutely disgusting.

You do not have to pay for a subscription to update details - simply re register your pet with one of the free ones. Just google it, I have moved away from this lot as they want £10 per year to update one change of address. pet database dot com is free

I got the email asking for money for nothing the day after the chipping, and unsubscribed. What rubbish. My dog was stolen and ended up in a vet, where she would have been scanned and returned to me just because of the initial registration.

Disgusting company - taking money monthly without consent and no option online to cancel payments or close the account.

What a scam! should have read some reviews before buying this useless premium service. If you really love your pet stay away from this company. 1 star is being generous, I would have given - 0 stars if the option was available. NO reply, NO phone calls NO response at all.

Our pet was registered in my wife's name against my email and phone number. I created an account and cannot add our pet. I also cannot change the name under the account to my wife's name. I emailed the support team and was told I need to update the keepership details but to do this I need to register and pay for an account upgrade. What a total ripoff considering that I just need the name changing on the account.

I just can’t get hold of them. Details of my 4 pets on their system are missing and I’ve tried contacting them by telephone, Twitter, Facebook and email. Absolutely disgusting that a service, in many cases in urgent circumstances, and is the point of the company/service and you can’t hold of them. I’m livid.

Scam. I paid Premium for my two dogs. I’ve found one of them doesn’t exist in their database. No one answers premium phone, which is described as 24/7 helpline. This is terrible service. I don’t trust them anymore and will change to another company. Waisted £40

I attempted to update my cat's details with the contact numbers of the cattery she will be staying at next month. This is something I have done many times in the 9 years I have had her details registered on Identibase (previously Anibase) with no previous problems. This time, the website crashed my PC and then when I finally managed to log in, there was no record of my cat at all. I was invited to register as my own cat's new keeper and to add in her details all over again! I tried phoning and got no answer, just a recorded message. I sent a complaint by email two days ago and have received no reply. I feel I am being shut out of a service I have already paid for. This does not inspire confidence if my cat should ever go missing. What has happened??

So far, three out of my four cat’s details have disappeared. Not great when one cat is missing and will not be reunited with us if found as a check using her microchip number shows that she is an unregistered animal. Yes, i paid for a premium service and cannot contact anyone to discuss this. So very angry!!!

Shame I can't put no stars! A puppy has to by law be chipped prior to sale, its then the owners responsibility, by law to keep he chip details up to date.... Unfortunately the law doesn't say that Chipping companies have to do anything at the behest of the animals owner. I brought a puppy, unfortunately chipped with these clowns. I changed his name and address. They said they would have to contact the seller to confirm. 3 weeks later they haven't contacted the seller, they haven't changed any of my puppies details and after 4 days they haven't responded to emails and queries. Typical of this country to put it on us the owners and let the corporations do what they want. I'm sure if anything we're to happen and it went to court and I showed all the evidence of attempts to contact identibase I'd still be met with, "it's your responsibility as the owner"
