awful company. kept disregarding my instructions and ruined washes - white still dirty because washed at very low temperatire. Asked to soeak to MD several times and was completely iginoted inc by him. Don't use this company

Horrible experience. Never again. One item missing, one completely ruined. Images attached. The blouse used to be pure white and was returned looking like a dirty cloth. Other items cleaned ok but also largely sub standard. I had to purchase a new blouse at my own expense as IHR would not offer a compensation. Skirt still missing. Dodgy!! Avoid!

I have been a regular user of your services. Yesterday, I gave my order to your driver and explicitly mentioned it needs to be “washed and dried”. This is following general practise as your website usually keeps hanging for me and I have previously been told to inform the driver of my needs to avoid any confusion given the inefficiency of the website. Today, I received an invoice from you stating the order amount to be 400% more than expected. Each item of clothing has been subjected to random treatments, with most of my ordinary clothes been subjected to dry cleaning. As soon as I saw this, I called up your service line to tackle this right there and then. I was told the clothes have already been treated and nothing more can be done. I am furious. I am not ready to pay 4x what I should have because of your inefficiency. If your driver is not trained, he should not be sent over. Now, it is ridiculous to be told that nothing can be done about this. I don’t expect this from you. I have been a regular user and am extremely disappointed with how things have been dealt with, especially how I have not been offered any help after the incident. I would not recommend your services to anyone. It is appalling.

I was thoroughly disappointed with the poor service I received from I Hate Ironing. I gave them a pair of designer jeans to be hemmed, with explicit instructions to maintain the original distressed hem style. However, when they delivered my order, the jeans had been altered with a basic straight hem rather than keeping the more original hem. Also, they lost the laundry bag I had given to them with my laundry. I also found the staff to be devoid of any customer service skills. When I pointed out the issues with my clothing items and missing bag, they gave no apologies or concern. Considering the high prices they charge for simple clothing alterations and dry cleaning services, I expect far better care, professionalism and quality results. Sadly, I Hate Ironing failed enormously on all counts. I cannot recommend them if you have any specialty or valuable items you want properly handled and returned to you. For the outrageous prices they charge, you deserve better service and less damaged goods than I received. I will not be using them again.

DO NOT USE - absolutely the worst service. They didn't deliver me my shoes and my ski jacket back for a total value £1,400 and the customer service has been totally useless in trying to sort out the issue. I'm going on a ski tri in 3 days, I'm on the phone with them for 2 days (5+ calls made) already and they either IGNORE or LIE to me. When I realised that some of my items are missing, I gave them a call and they said that they couldn't retrieve my shoes from a special service on time, so they will deliver them the next day. No information on the ski jacket. I had to call them back after 3 hours (although they promised to call back straight away) and they said that the jacket needed more time to dry so it should be with me together with the shoes the next day. Okay, why was I not informed of that before I find out that my belongings are missing and have to call them? These things happen and I don't mind waiting an extra day but the attitude is unacceptable. IN AN HOUR, I receive an email that my ski jacket will be delivered in 3 WEEKS. Obviously, something happened and they lied that it needed more time to dry. They also keep calling my ski jacket a leather jacket although I've said 5 times, both via email and on the phone, that it is not a leather jacket. Are we even talking about the same item??? I demanded that my items must be returned no matter what their conditions are ASAP. In return, they send me emails that they are checking when my items can be ready. This is ridiculous. I'm still left without my clothes for my upcoming trip. I've spent hours on trying to get an answer from them and they just don't care. Also, they did not return my original hangers and they did not give you their bags that you can re-use. It's all a lie.

ihateironing ruined my jeans the whole colour came off. I have washed the jeans before and nothing happened, it was clearly their fault using hard chemicals and mixing it with other garments. They re-collected the damaged jeans for so called "examination" and they CHARGED ME for this?! unbelievably disgusting company.

My clothing was collected by an I hate ironing staff member over a week ago and then never seen again. I initially was told by text that the driver was looking for me but had to leave, and that the items had not been collected, so I rearranged collection the next day. I got the same (clearly automated) text the next day. I then realized that something had gone wrong. I have had to send five emails, make several phone calls, and wasted far too much time trying to retrieve my belongings. IHI insist that their driver never collected the items, even though I have CCTV footage of him taking the items and dropping them into his car. I will never use this service again. They have wasted so much of my time deflecting blame, and failing to help, I wouldn’t normally air my dirty laundry in public but have no alternative but to complain through a public forum as they are refusing to look for my items.

This company had lost 1 of my newly bought MaxMara coat (worths £2000), one Joseph jacket (cost over £400) and one tailor made cashmere coat which was a gift from my late grandmother to my mother, which costs over £1000. After back and forths, this company only willing to compensate £500. 1. I placed order to clean 3 items in July, the driver failed to deliver,- he simply rang the door bell and walked off within a minute..I called the customer service multiple times straight away, and also emailed, but they weren't able to respond to me. 2.For nearly 3 months, I tried to call the customer service almost three times every week, and I have never had anyone picking up the phone. I have record, happy to share upon request. 3. I was able to get in touch with the customer service nearly two weeks. They advised the order will be delivered to me, and I had waited at home two times and the driver did not show up. 4. I was able to reach Suleiman from the customer service, and he let me know they this company had lost my clothes. I provided my receipt and documentation of purchases as requested ( happy to publish email exchanges if anyone wants to see). After all these inconvenience, I was told that this company will only compensate £500, which is less than 20% of the value of all the clothes I have lost. My family have been loyal customers since 2017, it is such a disgrace to see what a farce this company had turned into. Please avoid, and stay away. I used them for the first time based on the positive customer reviews (so independent of my experience, they appear to be doing something right). I required 3 sets of curtains to be cleaned, which they confirmed would take 3 days and charged me £800. It eventually took 1 month, numerous last minute cancellations from them, and no compensation offered for all the inconvenience incurred (not least having no curtains for a month). The curtains didn't come back sparkling clean either (albeit hard to know how much this is just hard to remove stains in fairness). I'm certainly not a customer who would either recommend or use the service again.

Terrible service If I could give 0 Stars I would. I have had nothing but issues with the service. My shirts were returned in an unacceptable condition. All were so badly folded they were unwearable. They refunded for this. However one of the shirts was returned with a newly acquired stain. This was not present before the use of the service. After them having the shirt for over a week, the stain is still there. They have made no effort to advise on what they can do. I have received an email after the shirt was finally returned to advise the stain was not able to be removed … ‘Lucy - IHI Customer Care Manager (ihateironing) 30 Sept 2023, 14:04 BST I do hope you are well. The Operations Manager has confirmed that despite our best efforts, your shirt unfortunately still has some remaining stains. There is unfortunately never a complete guarantee that stains can be fully removed, however, we wanted to let you know this information prior to your delivery. Kind regards, Lucy Customer Care Manager 020 7060 4939’ This was received after the shirt was returned. It also implies the stain was not acquired while in the care of the cleaning company. Lucy’s number is the general customer service number, I have been calling, no one answers. The standard ‘your calm is important’ messages is played. At approximately 13 mins your call is ended as they are too busy. All in all this has been terrible and I fear it’s not over yet. I do hate ironing, but I hate bad customer service more. While I can’t change the fact there is now a stain on my shirt, I do wish they would acknowledge the issue and work towards the solution. Prices are too high. How can you charge £6.50 to wash and iron a trouser and £11,50 to wash and iron a kurta. These prices are atrocious. I will soon not use your services unfortunately if this continues. Also recently a dress of mine was lost and only returned once I reported it.

I have given this company so many chances purely because they are convenient for me BUT my dry cleaning comes back unpressed, looking worse than when it went to them and often with the same stains on them. My t shirts come back looking like stretched out mini dresses. They ruined a beautiful satin dress of mine, I was never offered any reimbursement. Very unhappy and wont use them again, honestly im not convinced they dry clean anything.

I've been a loyal customer for about a year so it's a shame that the situation has come to this. I first began using their services in London and never had any issues at all. Now, something has changed within the company over the recent weeks which has led to me having two major issues. The first was last month when they randomly rearranged my collection twice for no particular reason or apology. When I complained, they were nice enough to apologize for the inconvenience and offered a £10 credit on my order. So I thought it was a one off mishap. Fast forward to last Friday, I received delivery in the morning missing three items - a shirt and two pairs of trousers were not delivered. When I contacted customer support, they did not make an effort to resolve the situation and instead made me wait the entire weekend without so much as an update. On Monday I had to chase them again and they had the nerve to tell me that all collected items had been delivered. So, clearly, the implication is that I'm lying about not receiving the clothes back. The trousers were tailor made and quite expensive so I'm prepared to escalate the case with the relevant authorities. From now on, I'm not going to use their services anymore. I'd recommend others to only risk sending them clothes if you are prepared for them to never be returned to you.

Unfortunately, the customer care has really slipped since the beginning of 2023. It’s a great concept but I’m not sure it’s worth it as monthly there are issues.

Most of the items were priced incorrectly! Emailed as soon as they sent an invoice at 10pm to let them know and again first thing in the morning. They got back to me to say it was too late! Customer service was shocking Do not use this company I would not recommend it at all. Very disappointed Rip off

Really awful experience. It’s a very expensive service and my rug came back with no evidence it was even touched. Just as dirty as when I sent it in! When they offered to “make it right” the service was repeatedly delayed for over 1.5 weeks and now I’m sitting here with no response as to when I can expect my rug back. Why did I pay £150+ for this service?? Don’t trust the okay reviews…

Absolutely awful . Third time they messed up , first time they lost three Hermes scarves and offered £45 to compensate. Second time they lost pillow covers . Alas long back and forth but I got paid . Finally , my jumper got ruined and stretched to a dress size . They charged for dry cleaning a dress ! Absolutely ridiculous… not to mention they offered to shrink the jumper to a size smaller if I send another one ad a sample !! Three weeks later still no call or apology let alone a compensation. Oh yes , and they are keeping my other stuff hostage for no reason whatsoever.

Ive used this service for a while. 6 months ago I write a really good review. Since then things have declined rapidly The last 4 or 5 delivery times have been changed, today's excuse is because ' The Operations Manager has confirmed that we require some additional time to process your polo shirt and shirt due to the nature of the items.' My items are cotton shirts and trousers-the new scheduled delivery time is mid morning when i am at work. I book evening slots because I work This has happened too many times now, I wont be using again, and there are cheaper services out there too

We ordered IHI services in London in September. Everything was dry cleaned as requested, and returned in the perfect condition. We ordered IHI services again in Edinburgh in January. In the order, I have specifically requested to dry clean all the clothing and wash & press only bedding. On the 4th of January, I received a note from IHI that there's a risk associated with white hoodies. Since I knew I requested dry cleaning, and hoodies were cleaned perfectly last time in London, I gave a green light. On the 6th of January, despite my request to dry clean my clothing, I received an invoice which stated that my clothing was 'Washed & Pressed'. This is the service I eventually paid for, although I requested Dry Cleaning. I have immediately raised my concern with the team, and received a response that the invoice may be wrong, and items will be treated with all proper care and at the highest standard. On the same day, I received an email that my items will be delayed, which listed items that were not mine (i.e. gown dress and bath mat). On Monday, I received my items back, and it became obvious they were just put in a washing machine. They changed their shape, became longer. Two hoodies were essentially destroyed - white soft hoodies became grey, worn out, with big black stains, stains of grey water, with dirt where there was no dirt before (i.e. on the hood). They changed their shape. It is not clear to me how the team decided to return them at all in this condition with no apologies and no note. I sent a complaint in the morning to get a refund. It's 4:30 pm and no response. I called them, and the support manager told that I will need to send items I am not satisfied with back, so they try to 'fix' them, and if no luck, they see there's nothing they can do, they will consider making a reimbursement. According to IHI, the whole process will take 7 days or so. This is a sad, sad experience.
