Made a purchase of several items that need to be assembled. Sales clerk Anna told me we could contact Task Rabbit to have them assembled. Did just that and they stated they don't service my area to contact the store for an alternate assembler. Did that to be told by Adam, Sales Manager that they don't offer another service. When I asked him what am I supposed to do since I was given bad information he nonchalantly said I could put the items myself. Suggested not to do it when I'm tired and to eat a good breakfast. This is seriously bad business. I didn't purchase those items to put them together myself. Be very careful before purchasing an disassembled item from IKEA, if you're expecting them to offer a service to assemble it.

Ordered back in May, then tried to cancel due to July delivery date, and they didn’t respond for months. Finally two days ago I could cancel on website, but now they won’t let me. I’ll be on vacation when the delivery comes! It’s lame to use COVID as an excuse to provide absolutely 0% customer support! iKEA should’ve taken no orders if that is the case. They had no problem taking your money- then leave you hanging for months with absolutely no way to resolve anything- even online. I will not shop with them again.

I’m have been in line for 45 minutes in Ikea new Haven for a return . One person is working in Returns . People have left behind me . What has happened to the great customer service ? And please don’t use Covid as an excuse . I won’t shop her again

Like many others, I cannot get an answer from IKEA about an order made in April, but originally scheduled for delivery in July (it is now the end of June and if it ships we want to be home). No confirmation, no information, no way to contact them. I understand that COVID is a big problem, but the company's response has not been to use the time to set up a competent remote customer service system, but just to refuse to interact with customers at all. So much about the customer portal is misleading. Why even say you have a means to contact CS when your call and email will not be answered. Consider the airlines: When they are overwhelmed with calls (it happens), they take your number and call you back. IKEA is simply the absolutely worst. We won't buy another thing from them.

We ordered a set of dishes. Many came broken. We have tried multiple times to get the pieces replaced with no response or help from ikea.

Impossible to contact the store. Their phone lines hang up on you. Impossible to send an email unless you want to cancel your order. They take more than a month (I'm still waiting!) to ship your order. They don't send you updates about your online order either.Do not order online! I used to love this company!

I bought two Flottebo sofas and I regretted it! The back rests are sliding and falling, not immediately but gradually (around 5 minutes after you lean on them), therefore it is not working as a sofa, I am extremely disappointed. They don't work as it is described in the middle of the room with its back rest as they slide and fall (each time), you need to put the sofa and the cushions against a wall to make it work. Not to mention they are extremely uncomfortable. I am now trying to get rid of them 3 months after purchasing. I didn't get a refund as IKEA didn't admitted that it is a fault.

I made an online purchase. Firstly, it took 2 months to get to me. Then once it got here, 4 of the 7 boxes were missing. Tried calling customer support.. 2 hours went by with no response. Same with the online customer service

I ordered online and same day I sent email to cancel, no option to cancel online, convenient. Delivery was waytoo far out and needed to cancel immediately. When you send a email to cancel there is no response for days and the 888 number has no live customer service operators or it says no one is available, and shuts down. For days since I’ve been trying to get someone to answer the phone, answer my emails, nothing. But they take out the money three days later. Now I’m furious because I’m totally being ignored. it’s like nobody can cancel an order, not before they take the money. That’s terrible business antics, and no customer service, literally none. Looks like I’m gonna have to drive 30 mins out to the store, way inconvenient. Let’s see if that works.

Placed an online order for delivery, never arrived, couldn’t contact company for 3 days as customer service number kept disconnecting me. Finally got ahold of someone and they said they had no idea when the order would be delivered. Canceled. 7-14 days before a refund would be issued. And the interest on the IKEA credit card? They’re keeping that and refusing to refund for a service they didn’t/couldn’t/wouldn’t provide.

Made a mistake with my delivery date, bringing it 12 days before it was supposed to arrive, when I wan´t home. They returned the delivery and cancel it. A couple of weeks later, still waiting for information on what is happening, haven´t seen my money, and they do not reply to any of my messages. Avoid shopping online.

I would rate IKEA Customer Service not even Zero if I could. More like MINUS ONE THOUSAND. Never ever answer your call. NO WAY TO CONTACT THEM WITHOUT JUST GOING IN IN PERSON. Like, how can you if they are not even open due to the Corona Virus Pandemic? EVEN WITHOUT THE PANDEMIC, they are the worst in the UNIVERSE!!!!

The queue are unacceptable...no reason at this stage that in-store could not be managed so as to reduce the queues...also to show some appreciation for customers waiting maybe some bench seating could be out out..and other shops are giving out tea and coffee...not Ikea

For a long time, Ikea's customer service could not be match. Lately, "due to Covid-19", customer service seems to be a thing of the past. Inexcusable, as this is something that can be handled remotely. Currently, it is impossible to get anyone, from Ikea, on the phone or email, for that matter.... and I am missing parts...

Bought a kitchen during the kitchen event ,with the idea that we would be getting 20% back in store gift cards That was in April we have not received any contact since we purchase our kitchen , tried to phone customer service 3 times totaling 5 hrs on hold .... There is no customer service at this point in time, sad that I need to make a 10 hrs trip to a ikea store to sort this out

Placed order for desk on April 22, 2020. My credit card was charged the next day. Estimated shipping date was May 20, 2020. I was willing to wait because I was not in a rush. May 20 came and went with no communication from IKEA. Received email from Ikea on June 9, 2020 stating that my order had been cancelled and that I would receive a refund within 2-3 business days. Now it is 6 business days later...no refund. No one will answer the phone. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE SHAM! IKEA has held my money for nearly 60 days. No product delivered, no refund, and NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. IKEA is destroying their public image. SHAME ON YOU IKEA!!!

Horrible online experience. Charged $50 for shipping. Sent the wrong products. Couldn't replace them because they were out of stock. Now our outdoor couch has 2 cushions.

I bought a desklamp from Ikea. It sat on the desk for about a year. One day I went to turn the knob to adjust the head of the lamp as it had fallen to the table and the knob just fell apart in my hands. Then the rest of the lamp fell apart -- the entire mid arm lever adjustment fell apart, then the base of the lamp detached from the lamp when I went to move it and unplug it. So just sitting there, the lamp fell apart over the course of a year, and then basically became pieces in my hands when I went to use it.

Worst experience ever. Online purchase transaction went through our bank immediately. No correspondence what so ever on when items would be delivered. My wife attempted to contact them through email and calling the 800 number. Finally the stores opened up and thought we would get a response. We cancelled our online order and made the purchase that day from the store. A week later i drive up to home and noticed our order had been delivered. My bank has not been credited back and not they are telling me i have to take the darn thing back if i want my original refund. Lesson here: STAY AWAY FROM ONLINE ORDERING!!!!
