I ordered 3 kallax bookshelves from Ikea.com US. I've never ordered from them online and wanted to try it because I don't have a big enough truck to haul the boxes. I took a screenshot of my online order number in case the email confirmation got lost in my spam. Total shipping was $39. After my purchase I never received a confirmation email of my order. This worried me a bit. I checked back online in the customer service section and was able to look up by my order number in the tracking section (thank goodness I had the screenshot for my order number). It was there which eased my worry a little bit. Still was unsure. Email did finally arrive in my inbox, but was only an notification that it has shipped. No layout of what I purchased, just that it has shipped. Next day I received another email that it is ready to be delivered. From the asterisk in the email it said, "*12 hour time window: You will receive a phone call the day before the scheduled delivery date with a 4 hour time window." My time in the email was a 12 hour so I assumed I'd get a phone call the day before. That phone call never happened. The day of delivery, I took off work to make sure I was available for the 12 hours. When I looked online, their delivery policy seems very strict about having someone there to sign for the delivery. I didn't want to miss it. Since I didn't get the phone call, I started looking at ikea reviews. Oh man did I find so many bad ones. Now I'm getting paranoid about my shipment not arriving, or it comes damaged, or I have to call customer service and deal with that headache. My mind was racing. I thought about calling ikea just in case to try and get the shippers info to call them (ikea uses a 3rd party shipping company) to get an estimate. Since from the email, I should have received a phone call with a 4 hour window the day before delivery. I waiting a couple hours, had lunch and then got a phone call. The driver was 15 mins away and letting me know. What a relief! I was so happy that there was some status to the delivery and I didn't want to be on the phone for hours with ikea. Delivery arrived on time and nothing was damaged. Very fast and efficient. Signed the papwork and everything was good. No missing items. My overall experience using ikea.com has been great. Was worried at first especially reading previous reviews. I do feel like ikea should have been better with updates and the order confirmation. Makes it a little unnerving when I can't view my order when I login and can only track it with the order number. Overall, I'm happy everything worked out in the end. I wanted to share my experience since most of the reviews are bad.

I ordered my couch at the store l, as they were out of stock. The store clerk told me the couch would be delivered the following Sunday. I was told I would get a call that day giving me a time frame for delivery. I received a call on Saturday telling me between 9-1 pm. At about 10am i received another call telling me the driver was between 5-30 minutes away. I am very satisfied with the delivery, and the Estorp couch!!

I felt that that the level of customer care was spectatular and I felt that browsing ikeas website was easy was easy to navigate and the delivery process from purchase to receiving my products was fast and efficient I also felt that my product arrived in good condition upon recieving it thank you ikea.

Ordered Ektorp Sofa, chair and ottoman online for delivery. The reviews were TERRIBLE at best and I was concerned. I received a confirmation for my purchase but never received confirmation of shipment which was no problem because I was able to follow with the Customer Service track app. It wasn’t updated frequently but I understood what was happening with my purchase. I was called 2 days before delivery and given a time slot and was told I would be called again by the driver the day of delivery an hour prior. I received a call from the driver at 9am and was told he would be here between 11:30 and 11:45. He was here at 11:30 exactly in spite of construction making it difficult to enter my neighborhood. From the date of order to the date of delivery it was 2 weeks and 1 day. I would also note that assembly is extremely easy as it assembled the chair and ottoman alone in about 45 minutes. They are super cozy and comfy!

There communication was second to none, they gave gave me a delivery date and the courier rang me the day before then on delivery day he gave me a time ⌚ and arrived on time, there tracking showed a little van on the map

Delivery of my purchase was completed 2 days before the scheduled delivery date. My purchase was out of stock in my local store. Very happy with ikea online.

Purchased wardrobe and chest of drawers. Excellent quality and easy to build following the instructions. Extremely pleased with finish, quality and assembly of the product. Highly recommend.

Some problems with faulted pieces of a wardrobe which were replaced no problem at all . Very good customer service just possibly could have more agents as was on hold over 15 mins but problem resolved.

After the run around for a week, they stepped up, resolved the issue over the phone, and in English which was lovely. The delivery was on time, straight up into my home and they were so pleasant. There will always be issues arising in any company. This company is global - I am in Italy - so even more opportunity for issues to occur. Its how IKEA CHOOSE to resolve it that retains the trust to return again as a customer. Thank you.
