Customer service at giltbrook is a joke. After visiting the store today we left feeling the attitude of your customer service staff were rude in their response to our issue which we raised in a calm manner. The issue was over £1400.00 of kitchen appliances that was listed at two different prices in your kitchen displays a discrepancy of £200.00. We were asked by a kitchen assistant to go to customer services, when we arrived we were asked ‘why have you come here’ too which we replied ‘we were told too’. After a while of discussion we were told ‘if you don’t like it you don’t have to have it ‘ this was after a £20 gesture of good was offered!! A £100 gesture of good will could have secured a sale. Customer service was appalling and if IKEA can afford to lose a £1400.00 sale then I am sure JOHN LEWIS will welcome it. Customer Service I am sorry to say is extremely poor and I suggest you invest in some customer service training. If you would like to discuss in more detail do not hesitate to get back to me who knows you could end up with a sale and restore our confidence in IKEA.

There have now been 3 occasions where I have made purchases at the reading store. The price tag on the display item was more at check out. A duvet priced at £22 on display was £25 at check out a doormat priced at£115k on display was£6.50 at checkout a £4.50 variance. They were good enough to refund the difference however the delay and return to the store probably cost me the same amount. No apology. No change. The products are still displayed at those prices so check your receipts before you leave the store people! Poor management!

Today is 1/30. We have been trying to reach customer service since 1/11 to get a replacement component for an item we ordered on line that was damaged. The message we get is that it’s unavailable. We sent an email and finally got a response. We were told it would take 5-7 business days to receive a replacement. We have a case reference number but haven’t been able to find where we can get a delivery status. With no one answering the phones we’re stuck.

I have been trying to order online and your website platform is not functioning properly. It is horrendous and keeps dropping out. Trying to print a shopping list is ridiculous googled how to and instructions are good but don't apply to the lists I have saved couldn't get it to print because the drop-down menu was as described. I then found out that it costs $20 to click & collect. Amazingly ridiculous. If you want to lose customers your going the right way about it. Your website is malfunctioning and it's so difficult when it keeps dropping off. Also, try air conditioning your shops so uncomfortable shopping in any Ikea store in Sydney.

I purchased a couch online after seeing it in the store. Following ordering instructions, I included "large item delivery"; "Flat rate pricing- Unlimited number of pieces - Delivery beyond your door: your whole delivery can be brought into your home or business to one room of your choice." Removal Services (mattres, appliance, sofas) are available when you purchase a delivery of a like service...additional fees may apply. " During the purchase process I wasn't prompted and did not see any other options for delivery. The truck arrived yesterday and dropped the items in my garage and left me with two huge boxes and no way for me to move such large heave items into my house by myself. I was really stuck! and they informed me they didn't haul old items away. I had ordered "BASIC" delivery only. I called Ikea service and asked how we could "fix" this but they offered no real solution. They could arrange pick-up my old couch for an additional $50 but that was the least of my problem. My city can pick it up for free if it can get it out to the street... I am very disappointed. It is a misunderstanding, yes. But I did read and try to understand the web-site when I was ordering and I am still confused when read it. I wasn't trying to save a few bucks! If I was to order a similar item in the future, at this point, I still wouldn't know how to do it but I certainly would make some phone calls to verify and ask more questions. My past experiences with other companies (like Costco for instance) have been exactly the opposite and exceeded my expectations and their delivery was included in the price, they called, conformed what I needed to do, , scheduled the time window... Ikea did none of this.

I wish there was a lower star rating. I tried to buy a bed. Finally reached customer service. i wished to pick up the order at the store. No Can Do you must use online order. My password did not work I requested a new number. You can not get a new number unless you enter your old number. It I had the old number I would not need the new one. You can not call the store directly. Customer Service, as indicated by so many people can not answer phone too much activity. What a cluster! Worst Customer Service Ever Award. Give up you will be a happier customer.

Don’t ever order anything online I ordered a desk for my daughters Christmas IKEA only sent part of the desk and their resolution specialist refused to even attempt to correct their F*up . I retuned their partial delivery and they kept their full shipping cost to me. If you value not getting ripped off , don’t shop here

Over Christmas we ordered a bed, two side lockers and a bookcase. It was to be delivered on the 6th of January. Four delivery dates later and I've finally cancelled my order and demanded my money back. My kid has been sleeping on the floor for the past 11 days because we obviously had to get rid of her bed (for the night we thought!) in order to have room to put the new one in. Our house is a mess because everything from her bedroom has been moved out of it and into other rooms, all just for the night we thought. I've had to take four days off work, because no one bothered to phone us to tell us that the stuff wasn't being delivered , on any occassion, despite the fact that we specifically asked after the first cock-up if they would make sure to tell us, so I'd only miss a half day in work instead of a full day. Add to that the fact that on our third delivery date we were told everything was now in Ireland and on the fourth one were told the reason we hadn't gotten it was some of it was still in England. They wanted to deliver half a bed! So quite obviously someone was telling us porkies. My advice to anyone considering buying a large amount of goods from Ikea and depending on it being delivered ever is DONT DO IT!

I ordered a dresser online. Three boxes were delivered which were not packed correctly. No hardware, extra wooden pieces and drawer fronts but not enough pieces to put other parts of the dresser together. Nothing is labeled so when one thing is missing , its hard to tell what else is missing until you have tried to put it together. Getting someone on the phone is really hard. I have currently been on hold for 30+ minutes and this is after I have spoken to one person already. The only way I could get a person on the phone was to press the sales prompt. Any other option stated that they are experiencing higher than normal call volumes and not accepting calls at the time. This has occurred on 12 out of the 16 calls I have made to them. I will never order from Ikea again. This is ridiculous. And I'm still on hold. My total call time at this point is 43 minutes. I feel that my problem requires speaking to someone at this point and not just emailing someone since there are so many random parts missing. Ikea, you really need to step up your customer service game. You could have gotten a lot more purchases out of me since we are furnishing a new house. But this is not worth it.

This review applies to Sunrise, Florida IKEA: Horrible customer service once something has been purchased. The kitchen planner I worked with in the store was polite and very helpful. But once that was finished, I've had problem after problem. Delivery of damaged items and unnecessary items. Trying to sort out credits for returned items. Many, many calls and emails to both Ikea administration and Traemand installers trying to work out logistics. Rude and unhelpful 'customer service' personnel in Administration. Everyone I dealt with tried to pass the blame on to another employee or department. They put the burden of responsibility on the customer to sort out all the problems created and they expect customers to coordinate solutions between IKEA and Traemand, Awful!

Return policy very limiting. Seven months after a new Ikea store opened I needed to return a defective lamp(less than $12...) of course I don't hold on to a receipt for an item like this. The original Ikea tags were still on the item. The credit card used for this purchase recently had been replaced. They refused any exchange or credit without either of these items. This is ridiculous and will seriously impact my decisions on any future purchases!

Nothing went wrong. CTV has played your Christmas commercial non stop it’s so obtrusive I mute my tv. To advertise is perfectly capitalist of you. To play that commercial non stop is horrible. I know it sounds petty but I won’t be shopping in Toronto at your store for a year. Love the store great store. Your commercial and the amount I had to see and hear it was borderline torture. Bibity Bobity bye.

Ordered furniture from ikea website. The items were out of stock in store but were availble for online purchase. Paid for the items and got a confirmation email with an order number. After 3 days i was informed by IKEA that one of the item is not in stock and will be available after 2 months and therefore they have cancelled my order. Now my money is tied up with IKEA as the refund may take 1-3 weeks and in the meantime i am unable to buy the home furniture from anywhere else. The item which IKEA told me is out of stock is still shown as available for online purchase and IKEA has not removed it from their website or listed as out of stock. More customers will buy that item online and then will be disappointed after their orders will be cancelled by IKEA and their money gets tied up.

Two Things We ordered for a 6*3.5 with storage cot, the stock was checked it was available and hence we paid the money. Next day we are told it is not there and will come after Feb 15th. since we spent about half a day on an urgent requirement it was a big disappointment and time waste. We ordered for 2 vertical wall stands. The concerned person told us that we can fix it on the walls. Carpenter tells us that it is only for a wooden panel and not for a cement wall. We have decided Ikea is Ok for candles and lamps and perhaps cinnamon buns. anything more permanent and costlier is risky

I cannot reach a person! I made an online order (confirmed, because it was charged to my credit card) but never got an order confirmation e-mail with an order number. So now, to make any change, I have to have an order number; this makes it impossible to do online...yet I also can't reach a person by calling...and I can't reach the store unless I drive an hour (which is why I ordered on line in the first place). If this doesn't work out, I literally will never shop at Ikea again.

Delivery is currently 2.5 hours outside delivery window. I will never shop in IKEA again. No phone call, no email, nothing. Order is close to 2000€. They seem to forget that customers can vote with their feet!!!?
