I only send around 6-12 courier packets per year (as a small business) and in the past had an account with FedEx, who were always reliable but very expensive. Then around a year ago a friend suggested I try interparcel, the first packet I sent was to a regular customer in Lebanon and I was amazed that it cost half what I was used to paying. Since then I have sent about 10 packets this last year, usually choosing FedEx from the interparcel site, and have not had any problems at all, apart from one held up in customs in Kazakhstan. The fact it costs me less now means I can charge my customers less, which can only be good for orders.

I googled around beforehand to check on the the various UK parcel services. Reading the various reviews it's quite clear that there is a complete spectrum of users' experiences so it was with some trepidation that I plumped for the InterParcel UPS combination. Not entirely sure why there is such a divergence. If the back office system is the same (i.e. Interparcel) then differences in service must be a lot more to do with the actual carrier used, and of course all carriers are ultimately dependent on man in white van. In my case Interparcel's service worked seamlessly, and given that there were 8 tracking record scans that must say something. In short I couldn't fault them. I chose the 'drop off at local store' option so can't speak for any pick up service. The only small potential for a problem occurring was at the drop off where the shop owner couldn't scan the bar code on my parcel with his blipper and he had to manually enter the bar code. I did have a small concern that if anything was about to go wrong it would be here. As it turned out though he'd correctly entered the code and everything was fine. In short I'll use again and am happy to recommend the Interparcel/UPS combination.

I needed to return an item to a company in Birmingham from my work address in Plymouth. Interparcel gave the best price for a next day service (by 50p) but more importantly they'd been recommended by the person to whom I was sending the parcel. Everything ws simple to do online with clear steps. I measured and weighed the parcel and entered the details of myself and the addressee. One of the advantages of doing it this way rather than at the Post Office is that I could put a copy of the receipt in with the parcel which was handy as I was claiming the cost of the postage. Once wrapped I affixed the labels I'd printed from Interparcel's website. Next day they collected the parcel from my work's reception as promised. You can choose the collection time window eg 8.30am to 4pm fpr my place of work - after that the reception's closed. I'd paid an extra 20p for a text alert upon delivery and I was duly notified at around midday next day that my parcel had been delivered and signed for. A nice touch for a worrier like me. Overall a hassle-free service that I'll definitely use again should the need arise.

The website was very easy to use and the cost of postage was very competitive.

Very simple and easy to use website, very reasonable rates with the option of sms message when your parcel has been delivered. Would be so much better if you could book in more than one parcel at a time

All went smoothly, collection at the advised time and delivery the following day. My only small criticism is that an e-mail told me I could expect the delivery label with bar code by subsequent e-mail, this did not happen but the driver brought it with him.

We used to use Parcel2go however the majority of the time they did not collect when promised, and we had to fill out additional paperwork, and it made a mockery of paying for guaranteed next day delivery, when they did not collect until the next day. One of our suppliers recommended Inerparcel, and with its partnership with UPS I can't fault its service. On time, professional drivers, and would recommend it everytime!

Never once had an issue - The Interparcel Service is usually fulfilled by UPS and I've shipped everything form guitars to windsurfing equipment and business stationery both in the UK and E.U. I've organised collections from people who need to deliver to me and the service has been 100% reliable.

**EDIT** (02/4/2014) Still full of useless excuses they cannot backup. Complete lack of empathy from these guys. (04/4/2014) Admitted error in the address on City Link side and issued a refund. After waiting 2 weeks and having the parcel sent back to me by city link torn open, they refused to offer a refund. First by lying, saying that I did not provide a receiver number even though their website forces you. Then by just stating the driver attempted delivery...he didn't deliver so how is that an excuse?

I had a few initial problems with adding the two addresses within the website manually. And have filed a report with customer service who have forwarded the issue to IT to be resolved. I spoke to customer services with regards the attempted delivery of my parcel at work, the courier(TnT) couldn't just walk in through the locked door (understandably), isn't able to ring the door bell nor use the phone number provided notifying me to open it...so, failed to deliver. I was expecting to hear some apologetic words from Interparcel's customer service, instead I was made to feel like an underling and it ended up with short snappy responses from both of us. Leaving me a little sour. Apparently the courier should be able to just walk in the through the door, I remarked this doesnt happen to personal addresses but its an unwritten rule...apparently. I appreciate not all customer service representatives are the same, but if one slips through, where do you stop. If the IT issue is resolved, and the manners of call centre staff are refreshed it would be an excellent service.

Have used other companies such as DHL, UPS and others which were a considerable amount more for the same service and more difficult to book. Will use this service again. 5 star.

It was very easy to book, pay and print off the labels online. No fuss, even managed to book a pick up for the same day even though I was trying to book at nearly 2pm (latest for same day) My parcel weighed 9Kg so it was brilliant that they picked it up from the house. Will use them again.

I booked a parcel collection today and the service was really efficient and when I called with a question they were really helpful. However, I don't think I'll be using the service again as there are no time slots offered. On the cheaper services, even an AM/PM slot would be helpful. Shame because otherwise seems like a great service.

I have used other booking companies other than interparcel and none comparer for me personally. I find the site very easy to use and I very much like the fact that you can telephone and actually speak to a friendly assistant that can help should the occasion be needed. 100% Recommended
