“I bought one of these for £389 last week. I get a text advising me that UK Mail will deliver on the Friday. It doesn't arrive, I click on the UK mail link which says package is 'delayed'. I call iswegway today and speak to Lee who looks into the order and and explains that the unit I've purchased is in fact no longer available but that they'll send me a different one. I decline this and insist on my money back. I'm then told its 7-10 days to refund-refund me. My son has his birthday this week,and they're telling me that I won't receive my money for 10 working days. I insist on speaking to the returns department but I'm repeatedly told the phones are down. I just want my money back in time for my son's birthday, I cannot believe that these people don't get it? These aren't cheap things, people are spending lots of money. I'm totally panicking by this point , I'm so furious at how these people dare to mess customers around and behave as if it's no big deal. Unbelievable.
However....3 hours later I get a call from Simon who reassures me that I will get my money back in the 7-10 day time frame-usually by 3 days. I'll keep you posted but I'm ready to do what is necessary if I don't get my money back within this time frame.

WELL THIS IS THE UPDATE AS PROMISED, ISWEGWAY REFUNDED THE MONEY TO ME AS PROMISED ON THE 9th , AND IT IS THIS REASON AND THE PROFESSIONAL AND CONSIDERATE ATTITUDE OF SIMON WHO CALLED ME TO REASSURE THAT THE MONEY WILL BE REFUNDED THAT I HAVE PUT THE SERVICE UP TO 'NORMAL'. But I would like to add here that up to that point the service was very disappointing. IF ALL THE EMPLOYEES WERE LIKE SIMON WE WOULDN'T EVEN BE HAVING THIS DISCUSSION.”

“Do not buy from this company. You may never receive a Swegway or your money back. It is a scam and I cannot believe the reviews entered below are genuine customers. It's probably the director writing his own reviews. Check out the iswegway facebook community page and iswegway victims page on BBC watchdog site and you will see that I am not the only one who has been ripped off to the tune of £300 or more.
I ordered a swegway on 3rd December and cancelled on 18th December due to missed Xmas delivery (going away for Xmas). The goods were not dispatched and I was promised a refund that has not been received to date. No reply to emails. Phone calls will cost you money holding on a premium rate number endlessly. When I did get an answer I was promised that I would get my money back in three days. That was two weeks ago! Many people have reported similar stories to trading standards and the police and I have lost hope of ever seeing my money again.
Repeat...this is not a reputable company...this is a scammer committing fraud. Do not buy anything from iswegway.”

“Swegway was bought as a Christmas present for our 12 year old son. We received good communication once placing our order and the swegway arrived the day we were advised and several days before Christmas. Our son was thrilled with the present he learnt it very quickly! This swegway was supplied with a correctly fused plug and the battery still has not needed recharging. The board is not used daily now however was used daily over the Christmas school holidays eg just short of two weeks - my son gets longer holidays! All in all very pleased with purchase and so is our son! Thank you!”
“DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! My 13 year old Daughter used all her saving to pay £299.00 for a swegway from what we thought was a trustworthy company after having read some awful stories about other companies. I'm afraid that I am disgusted at the poor quality and service that I have received.
We had only had the swegway for a few days and had only ridden it indoors in the carpeted hall and In the kitchen that has Lino. It had only been ridden by my very slim 13 year old Daughter when we heard a loose part rattling around inside. She had not bumped into anything or done anything to shake a part loose, I emailed this company on 10th January clearly explaining what the problem was and had to wait a full week for a reply. The reply was a template email that suggested that I re-booted the board! I replied immediately very politely pointing out that I didn't think that re-booting the board would fix a loose part inside. I waited 10 days but had no reply. Today I rang up and, after holding on for over 15 minutes, was answered by a man who seemed slightly distracted, put me on hold for sometime then came back telling me to take photos of the board and to email them back to him. I carefully explained that since the part had come loose, 17 days had elapsed (whilst I was waiting for a proper response from them) and that during that time my Daughter had taken the board outside and had fallen of it causing it to gain a few scratches but stressed that the loose part had come loose days before that and had been after riding it indoors only. He told me to just send the photos and then he would sort out the repair. I replied to that email with the photos as requested and then received an email saying that if the board was scratched or cosmetically damaged in any way that they would not accept the board back!
I replied to say that I seemed to be struggling to get my point across and that I was NOT returning the swegway asking for a refund but that I was asking for the loose part inside to be repaired as it was clearly a defective machine. I said that it is absolutely wrong that a £300 board should develop a problem where something should come loose inside so very quickly after so little use and therefore that I was expecting the fault to be repaired and the original machine (complete with its scratches) returned to me free of charge. I was then livid to find that my email (sent as a reply to his which was to the same email address that I had successfully sent the photos to only a few hours before) has been bounced back as rejected as spam! How can a company conduct themselves so badly when selling £300 goods? Why am I being expected to accept that a loose part on a brand new machine is my fault and that they won't accept it back for repair!??!
I have never posted a bad review before as I am generally quite laid back and accepting of mistakes but when my Daughter has used all her savings on something that she desperately wanted which turned out to be faulty and for them to refuse to accept it back is quite simply disgraceful customer service!”
“Great product and excellent service from the supplier. The board arrived within the delivery window, was well packaged and in excellent condition. Having read news reports on exploding boards I checked all the components and found that they complied with UK regulations. My son has great fun with this board. I fell on my backside. Strictly for the younger generation.”
“Very good until something goes wrong! Looks like a possible design flaw, charging pin is screw in and is impossible to unscrew as no space, tried to get help on just which way to turn and could not get an answer ( on the phone he won't say??!!!) and I am still waiting for a reply to my email.
