“We have had to order from them several times, due to restrictions on my granddaughters school uniform.
Besides being overpriced, their shipments are ALWAYS late, not a few days, or even a couple of weeks, but months. So, word of advice, don't pay attention to how long they say it will take, if you need spring clothes, order in the fall and if you need winter clothes, order it in the summer. Their customer service is legitimately like robots working off a script and very polite, but absolutely useless/unhelpful.”
“Ordered item Sept. 17. Right away back ordered. Latest is now after Christmas. Ridiculous but Covid World. Recently got a 60% off promotional code. Asked to have that used on my item. No can do since now item sold out. Asked for credit in amount of 60% off. Roshanda said no. Will not buy from them again.”
“Our daughter’s school has used Land’s End for uniforms for as long as we’ve been there. Up until this year, we’ve never had any major issues. They’ve never had super fast shipping, but it’s always been doable. Unfortunately, this year things changed. My daughter started school along with a ton of other students without their uniform orders! We were able to get by since our’s is in 5th and we had leftover from last year…but barely! There were many new students who had to go out of uniform because Land’s End was literally months behind! I had hoped this was short term, but after waiting months on their 20% off sale, I just placed another order because my daughter-in-law a growth spurt and has no coat that fits for school. This order will take 1-2 months to arrive!!! By the time we receive the order, we might not need it. If this continues, I’m quite sure our school will have to find a vendor that can get uniforms to the students in a timely manner.”
“Ordered 3 dress shirts, each with the same monogram letters and format. Today I received the shirts and somehow Lands End opted to change the monogram in 2 out of the 3 shirts.
Customer service stated that cannot accept returns or correct the error because the shirts are monogrammed, “even if it is their mistake”. I’m sure they are reading from a script, but thus business is quickly going downhill along with the parent company, Sears.
If they can’t get an order straight and won’t correct their mistakes, they should already close this place down.”
“I placed an order with a Lands End agent via the phone. My order was paid on the same date it was ordered. Two weeks later, I called Lands End to inquire about the date when my order will arrive. I was told by the agent that it is unknown when my order will leave their warehouse in Wisconsin and unknown when it will be delivered to me. The reason given is due to heavy customer demand, there is a problem processing all the orders due to lack of employees. I explained that when I placed the order, the agent never mentioned to me that my order would be delayed. Their business management policies need to be reviewed and revised as the end result is poor customer service.”
“I placed an order for school uniforms on 6/30. The sizes delivered were too small; so, I went through their process to return the items for the next size up. Their policy is if it is from the school uniform 'list', then only a store credit will be issues and not a refund. So, I had to wait for the credit to be received ... this took until 8/3 (!!) and placed the order. It is 8/25 and I just called to demand a cancellation since I am still without my order AND my account reflects 'processing' still on one item and 'backordered' on the other items (with no expected date). The lady was very rude and condescending and made it seem like she was doing me a favor by allowing a refund VS their 'policy' of a store credit. So, now I will be tied up with constant follow up until I see the money back in my account. $152 tied into only a portion of school uniforms is ridiculous!”
“Purchased some size 14 D cup bathing suits from Lands End like I have done the past 15 years. The suits I got were so tight in the body that I literally could not get them past my hips. Once I finally got past my hips (by holding my breath) the sewn-in cups hit me at the bottom of my rib cage. I went back and ordered a size 16W and 18W and had the SAME PROBLEM. Sad to say I will never ever be able to buy bathing suits again here. Utterly disappointed.”
“I purchased a swimsuit that do not fit well. After returning the suit, Lands' End took 16 dollars from my refund to cover shipping. There is not way a lightweight suit costs 16 dollars to ship back. I wasted 16 dollars on a crappy swimsuit. Will never shop Land's End again.”
“I’ve purchased a number of Women’s Lightweight Cotton Turtlenecks from Land’s End (usually online) over the years. Historically I’ve always re-ordered as they slowly wear out, because I’ve been so pleased with the comfort and quality.
Goodness, what happened? I noticed when my batch of six 2020 shirts arrived that they felt much thinner than before—but as I needed to use them right away I didn’t think too much about it.
Now one of them has already spontaneously developed small holes in the neck and on one cuff. My shirts are always washed on a gentle cycle and damp-dried on low with other clothing of similar fabrics then hung to finish drying. All of the current batch have been laundered ~20 times. None have been exposed to anything sharp or causing friction.
Customer Service responded promptly but with a request that I return the defective shirt. However, the prepaid label requires me to take the package somewhere or pay a not-insubstantial fee for pickup at my residence (althougn the carrier is here 2-3 times weekly for deliveries). NOT going out in this pandemic to ship something and NOT going to pay a fee for a defective product to do so.
I’m very disappointed in Land’s End, and next time will be seeking my shirts from another vendor. ”
“My jogging pants are less than a week old and already the crotch is nearly down to my knees. There is no way of tightening the waist band, and they feel so uncomfortable.
They are petite medium. Oh dear.”
“Beware, there are no free returns! A shame since most people have turned to online retailers during the COVID-19 retail shutdown. Shame on Lands End.”
“I recently purchased two PL velour pants. Unfortunately I could not exchange them for PM as that size was not available any more. The pants are good for regular L size. I have to reduce length by
5" and the hips by 4"”
“I returned the bad quality jacket at the same day after received it. I called to customer service and explained about problems with this jacket and required to receive credit because I returned it. But, Lands end send me unwanted package with poor quality jacket again. I contacted with customer service and I received very bad, impolite responses from them. I very disappointed with Lands end. Now, I have responsibility to drive to post office again to send this package second time. It is not my responsibility. I believe customer services at Lands end are incompetent and provide bad customer service to us customers. We pay money to them and agents response to us with angry , resistible responses regarding orders and returns. I want resolve this problem because it very disappointed. I am very good customer and did not deserve bad responses that covered their incompetence.”
“I reached out to Lands End customer service regarding a broken zipper on a child's parka that was purchased a few years ago. Unfortunately, i dont have the receipt. I was asking for the zipper to be repaired since there is a lifetime guarantee. The response i received is that since i dont have the receipt, i can send the jacket back for a $5 credit. Absolutley ridiculous! The jacket is in great condition, with the exception of the zipper. Way to support a lifetime guarantee, Lands End. I certainly wont be purchasing anything in the future.”
“We returned items on 22 of December, Lands End warehouse received them on the 4th of January and as of the 11th of January we still haven’t received our refund.”
“It should actually be no stars. I ordered a pair of women's shoes size 6. I was very happy to find the Mary Jane style I like but when it arrived it was HUGE. At least a 7 or larger. Don't know why it was so hard for them to do correct sizing.”
“Serious Sweats—no comparison between men’s and women’s. I have “men’s” sweatpants and hooded pullover—thick, heavy, soft thick inner. Ordered women’s tunic and quarter zip, both advertised as in the serious sweats line—BUT—neither has the defining label inside and BOTH are a much lighter weight fabric with virtually no inner warmth. In fact, the quarter zip is like a lightweight fleece. Online chat remark was hers didn’t have a label either. Email result was that my remarks were sent to advertising but I would not be hearing from them, so that was another dead end. This stuff (women’s) isn’t less expensive than men’s, just cheaply made. Totally bad LE experience.”
“No boxes for shoes or slippers! Even personalized slippers. I have always ordered slippers from Lands' End, always received a shoe box for each pair. This year they came in torn tissue paper, mailed in a plastic bag, with the suede completely scuffed. When I reached out to customer service about this, they said "oh we now sell shoe boxes for $7!
Ridiculous. I have spent over $3,000 this year alone at Lands' End. No more. Will never purchase from them again.”
“If I could give Lands End a NO star review, I would. I recently ordered 2 pairs of leggings. I couldn't get one pair on past my knees! I successfully tried on the other pair but thought it was too tight (across the bum) for me to keep. How can there possibly be that much difference between two pairs of leggings that are supposed to be the same "size"? So, basically, I just lost $14.95 (shipping each way) in order to try on 2 pairs of leggings - poor material; poor craftsmanship; one a ridiculous fit. The saddest part is I used to love this company; once upon a time their products were excellent. Not anymore. Bye Lands End.”
