“I bought three 20kg bags of fertiliser which were posted in three cardboard boxes. By the time they arrived at my door all three boxes were totally destroyed, just leaving the unaddressed sacks. This packaging is not fit for purpose.”
Hi James
We are sorry for the condition in which your order arrived. We understand how important it is for products to be delivered safely, especially heavy items like fertiliser. We will take this feedback onboard and certainly look into improving our packaging to ensure this doesn’t happen again.
Hi Trevor,
Thank you for your feedback, and we apologise if our request for a review felt too soon or aggressive. Review requests are sent a week after purchase and normally orders have arrived by then. However, I can see from your order tracking that there was delay and it is currently out for delivery and you can expect it to arrive today.
Once you’ve received your order, we’d love to hear your thoughts and would greatly appreciate it if you could update your review. Your opinion is important to us, and we’re excited to hear your feedback.
If you need any assistance in the meantime, please feel free to email customersupport@lawnsmith.co.uk and we would be happy to help.
“Great product. Have used it for years on my clay soil lawns. I get loads of great comments about how good the lawn looks. Will keep using it every year.”
“I placed an order for Viva Green Mossoff in early March and with a couple of days I had confirmation of shipment. Unfortunately after checking my tracking number it was still with the courier DHL. Reaching out to Lawnsmith they promptly responded and started investigating. Communication was top notch all the way resulting in a replacement product being sent out once DHL acknowledged they had lost my order. So as a company Lawnsmith are top of their game. Once I’ve tried the product I’ll feedback on that. I will be coming to order more products soon. Keep it up guys!”
“I’ve used the lawnsmith a number of times over the last few years they are my go to for hassle free purchases.
The short how to videos on the use of product are excellent and worth a look it you haven’t.”
“One would really use this to aerate a lawn with impacted sub soil. The device is supposed to create 2 cm holes and with successive insertion into the lawn, let the plugs of impacted earth out at the top. It doesn't and just impacts the earth into the tyne.
Nicely made but does not do the job”
Hi Gordon
Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback, and we are sorry to hear you are having some difficulties with the Greenkey Hollow Tine Aerator but hopefully we can help. This can sometimes happen when the conditions aren't quite and here are a few things that might be causing the aerator to struggle:
*Dry, Warm Weather: If the weather’s been dry and warm for a few weeks, the ground can become really hard and compacted. Aeration works best in cooler, wetter autumn months. So, if you’re trying this in summer or after a dry spell, it might be a bit tricky. Ideally, wait for a month or two of cooler, wetter weather to get the best results. Check out more info here for timing tips! https://www.lawnsmith.co.uk/lawn-care-advice/aeration-equipment/when-to-aerate-the-lawn/
*Stony Ground: If the soil’s full of stones, it can make aerating difficult. If that’s the case, you might need to tackle that by removing some of the larger stones first.
*Heavily Compacted Lawn: If the lawn has been heavily used or hasn’t been aerated in a long time, it could be too compacted for aerating to be effective. In these cases, it might take a bit more work or even a different technique to improve the soil structure.
*Unsharpened Tines: If the tines on your aerator aren’t sharp, they won’t be able to penetrate the ground easily. This is an easy fix though—take a look at this helpful video to see how to sharpen them properly. https://www.lawnsmith.co.uk/lawn-care-videos/aerate-rake-scarify/spike-core-aerate/?srsltid=AfmBOorbRMh_lIb7-dF-Cg8gsNfPzmIhu0Db8GLARx6ldaepjVBgIonO
Once you’ve checked off those things, you should have better luck with aerating! If the lawn’s not too stony or old (like 20 years or more), there’s no reason the aerator won’t do its job in the right conditions.
I hope this helps and if you need further assistance, please email us at customersupport@lawnsmith.co.uk
“My delivery was made yesterday and subsequently I have not rushed out to spread my fertiliser yet. Even if the urge had became too much and I had been out in my garden in the pitch black last night, I still feel it's too early to give feedback.
The biodegradable cellotape was nice though.”
“I have been using Lawnsmith products now for two or three years and they perform very well. The advice and tips on their website is excellent and extremely useful.”
