I have used the slow release fertiliser, appears to be thickening lawn, but only recently had a dumping of rain in the SE.

Just to add, while warmth is generally good for germination, excessively warm or dry weather can actually slow down germination. Seeds need consistent moisture and moderate temperatures to germinate well. When it’s too hot and dry, the soil can dry out quickly, making it harder for seeds to establish. Sometimes a little cooler, damp weather helps the grass come through stronger and faster.
