About Le Chameau:

Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“Hallo liebes Le Chameau Team! Ich bin bisher sehr zufrieden mit meinen tollen, neuen Stiefeln. Ich finde die Qualität kann man sehen! Super Verarbeitung und tolles, weiches Material. Toller Tragekomfort auch weil sie recht leicht sind. Die Lieferung war schnell und der persönliche Kontakt sehr kompetent und freundlich! Ich kann die Stiefel nur empfehlen!! “Die Größe 39 fiel etwas klein aus. Wobei es beim rechten Fuß noch ging, aber der linke Stiefel war definitiv zu klein. Normalerweise passt mir eine Größe 39 gut. Beim Umtausch zeigte sich Le Chameau unkompliziert und kulant mir gegenüber.”

“Pied droit serré en bout (petit pour un 42), pied gauche trop lâche en largeur. Liseré sur le devant de la botte mal collé. Loin de la qualité que j'ai pu connaitre par le passé. Déçu”

“Ordering and receiving the boots was fine. The problem was returning them (wrong size). Having entered all the information for my chosen return method, I got an email with a QR code etc - but no address of a shop to which I could return them! And when I asked, you gave me a list of shops that do not accept returns on behalf of Relais Colis. Not impressed.”

“Très mauvais j'ai acheté c'est bottes en février 2023 et elle sont déjà hors HS elle prennent l'eau,semelle Michelin de mauvaise qualité.pour des bottes à ce prix c'est lamentable.Je suis Mer candon samuel de la Trinite sur mer en bretagne je travaille dans lostrieculture.j attend un geste commercial où un remboursement.06 61 21 25 12 _samuel.candon@laposte.net”

“The whole shopping and retouring processes work very good and are uncomplicated to do. The webshop has a good structure. In aspect of the product "Men's Océane Ponti Lined Thigh Boot Noir" the sizes seem to be larger than usual by other producers. The quality of the bots is very good in every aspect. It would be very interesting when you could create a model of high boot, which has a neoprene inside for insulation, but without a metal filled sole / without spike sole like the model "Men's Océane Ponti Lined Thigh". Metal flake or metal spiked soles are not usable with fishing boats, especially inlateable boats. For this reason i have chosen "Men's Océane Ponti Lined Thigh Boot Noir" and not the "Deltanord" with neoprene insulation. As an idea for your product developers. “My second pair of Le Chameau wellingtons because I love how warm they keep my feet. My first pair lasted 4 years of constant wear. My second pair I noticed that the material didn't seem to be of the same quality as my previous pair. Now not even two years' old and they have split both sides of the foot. So won't be buying again.”

“My experience was one of customer support and I must say that it was excellent. The individual dealing with my enquiry regarding the replacement of a lost part took ownership of my problem immediately. Without prompting, a resolution to my problem was found - with only a photograph provided by me the part was identified and despatched to me the same day. I received follow-up emails to check that all was well and to inform me of the progress of the delivery of my part. It has been a very enjoyable and rewarding experience dealing with Le Chameau and has confirmed that there are indeed professional and dedicated people working in the commercial world - well done.”
