About Le Chameau:

Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“+ Very quick service + Very helpful, very responsive customer service + Not made in China - I found the website a mite confusing, esp. with reference to clearly differentiating and comparing different boot models' different features - The sizing algorithm seems very sophisticated, but using it, I ended up with boots two sizes too large.”

“Love them. However, they are more slippery than my cheap and cheerful Wellingtons when cross over streams with algae-ridden stones. Very comfortable, although they do come high up the leg and can pinch if you've got a short ankle-to-knee.”

“I tried Hunter, they are iconic yet stiff and uncomfortable after a long period of walking. I tried Barbour boots, again iconic, but they were too heavy making one's feet tired after walking any distance. So here I am with Le Chameau.(See comment below) I don't like the tactic though of giving away boot bags to all but Vierzon boots. For the high price of these boots, boot bags should be a giveaway thank you from Le Chameau for every boot purchased.”

“Der beste Stiefel, den ich je hatte. Tolle Verarbeitung, sehr bequem, im eisigen Wasser immer warme Füße.... würde ihn immer wieder kaufen! Ob segeln, SUP im Winter, angeln im Flachwasser und Muscheln im winterlichen Watt sammeln, -ein extrem vielseitiger Stiefel.”
