Staff are generally helpful, and if problems arise, resolve them promptly. I have had an experience where product knowledge has been in doubt.

Our experience of Lion is really based on having a London depot. The convenience for us meant we used Lion for our last minute orders, and could even collect for ourselves in emergencies. Now we have our deliveries co-ordinated by Birmingham, they come much later in the day, and are often too late to be of help, so we are generally buying less as a result. Any issues with orders are also far more time consuming to deal with, as we have to wait for the next van run. In general there are no major faults with service, only the lack of convenience that will mean that we are less likely to use Lion as a primary supplier

Very sorry to see the London depot close and the van delivery cease. However, the service we get from Birmingham is very good. It is just more difficult for us to put together £50 moulding orders and carriage paid orders, but we have no choice, so our ordering pattern has altered from weekly to less frequent. Overall, Lion are a reliable and trustworthy supplier.

Disappointed that Hayes has closed! This means for small orders I would now have to travel to Birmingham which of course will increase the cost having to travel from Herts. Otherwise a good service and product.

Hi, I have been using Lion for several years now. Living in the South until it's closure I used Lion South either their van delivery (Fridays) or in person (35 minute drive). As you may know I now buy the majority of my mouldings in chop form often on a next day delivery basis. This suits my business but over the past few months I have experienced rather erratic service as follows. Completely the wrong mouldings supplied (chop), damaged chop items, bowed chop items, material not turning up as promised and last week a chop order being delivered in full lengths (3m) not chopped, (one of which was badly bowed). I am not sure if the closure of Lion south has any bearing on these problems but it is starting to have an impact on my business as I am letting customers down through lack of materials. I hope the problems can be addressed and resolved quickly as I want to continue to use Lion as my main supplier. Nick Hood Hook Framing

Some of the sales team are more helpful than others- communication has been a problem in the past; there has been particular difficulties with some deliveries and lack of information between Lion and Tuffnels. I miss the support of a rep since Sarah left, however, I have been very impressed with the level of service provided by Archana Rajpra and this has ensured my ongoing custom

I have been a customer of Lion since I started framing 28 years + ago! They have always in that time, provided an excellent service and support. They are fully in tune with the needs of the industry and bring new ideas and products to their customers. The only suggestion I would like to make is that regular visits from a representative would be beneficial to us and Lion. This would keep us in touch with new mouldings and printing materials. I find the staff at Lion very helpful and friendly. Tony Walker, the regional sales manager for the south, has given invaluable help and advice to me over the years. I miss the trade counter at Hayes and the van delivery. It means I no longer have access to the blade sharpening service and the opportunity to visit and select my goods. I find the online order system easy and quick and have got used to using the chop service. Sometimes when I would prefer to purchase lengths rather than use the chop service, I find I do not always meet the minimum order for Lion to despatch the lengths which is inconvenient. The catalogue, as always, is excellent for choosing products as the descriptions are so informative. I find I am using Lion mouldings more than I used to as they have definitely improved the range available. Definitely a favourite supplier! Just one more thing - the Smarties I received with my April order were stale and discoloured, most disappointing!!

The telephone staff have always been unfailingly helpful, and deliveries are very reliable. On the rare occasion where something has gone awry the issue has been dealt with promptly. Overall very happy with service and products.

The Lady who I spoke to when I placed my order was extremely helpful, and I'm pleased with the quick delivery of the chopped wood I ordered from Lion but feel the chop service itself was very expensive. Thanks anyway.

I had an issue with an open box of smarties in package which spotted all mountboards. I also payed next day delivery but took 3 days. Quickly delt with, new boards supplied and a refund for delivery. Thank you.

Service at the trade counter is very friendly and helpful. The same can be said for the phone line. Orders always arrive within a couple of days with standard delivery. My only complaint would be that more care should be taken when packing moulding for delivery. I am often disappointed to find dents and marks on lengths of moulding. However, when I have complained it has always been dealt with fairly and quickly.

1) Chopped aluminium mouldings. Compared with other suppliers finish is poor. It seems like blades's are more coarse or are being forced through moulding too quickly giving a rougher and sometimes sloping vertical joint. 2) Some wood mouldings received recently have faces scored by knives used to open wraps at Lion! 3) When I order 2 lengths of wood mouldings I expect 4.8 to 6m not 4 m as I received recenntly with L1193. I had to order more yesterday and apologise to customer for delay! I asked Trace today what the lengths would be, the system said 5.4m . I will let you know next Tuesday if your system is accurate. You asked for feedback which I hope helps you see your business from a customer's perspective. From the score above you will see I am happy with 95% of your service. Thank you
