“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at BLUESEA Fañabé and thought it was incredibly good value for money. We arrived at around 11pm and the hotel had kindly made us a packed meal as we’d missed dinner, which was a lovely touch. Oddly, though, all-inclusive drinks ended at 11pm, so after a long day travelling we couldn’t get a cold drink with it. After some negotiation I bought four glasses of Coke for €10 – in hindsight we should have gone to one of the shops next door! Our one-bedroom apartment worked brilliantly for our family of four. The sofa area had been made into two single beds for the children, giving everyone plenty of space and privacy. The aircon kept the apartment lovely and cool and housekeeping was excellent – fresh towels, toilet rolls topped up and everything kept spotless, including dealing with the black Tenerife sand that gets everywhere! The food was genuinely very good, with plenty of variety, freshly prepared and regularly topped up. There were also snacks by the pool between meals. The all-inclusive drinks were more limited – one lager, vodka, three wines and some pre-made cocktails – although as I’m not much of a drinker this wasn’t a major issue for me. The pools were lovely and clean, although closing at 7pm seemed surprisingly early compared with other hotels we passed. The €1 reusable cup deposit system was another little quirk. You needed your cup for drinks such as slushies, so they quickly became part of our daily carry-around kit! We couldn’t return ours when checking out at 8am because the relevant station didn’t open until 10:30, so they became souvenirs instead. No big deal, just slightly odd. And then there were the sunbeds! Watching people sneaking out at 7am to reserve beds they wouldn’t use until 10am genuinely made us laugh – I thought that only happened on TV! 😂 It was frustrating seeing apparently “occupied” beds with nobody around, although that’s more about the guests than the hotel. The location is very good, with the land train just up the road and plenty of parking on nearby side streets. Overall, the hotel was clean, comfortable, the staff were mostly friendly and cheerful, the food was excellent and we had a great family holiday. There are a few quirks, but for the price we paid BLUESEA Fañabé offered fantastic value and we’d happily recommend it.”

“They give excellent value for money and are probably the cheapest in town. However, it's very difficult to speak to someone, so if you do book with Loveholidays, make sure you don't need to change your booking and get it right from the off”
