“The hotel was just not up to standard as advertised. Supposed to be 4 star, but standard room was unclean, toilet seat broken, mould in bathroom, water not draining adequately, very tired decor abd little space. Hotel did move us to slightly bigger and brighter room, but still very tired, dull and air conditioned room not working as it should do, plus the door had wood missing from around it. Swimming pool dirty, cloudy water, black mould and scum visible around pool, not maintained properly. Some of the staff rude (particularly the hotel manager on reception desk), although there were a few good members of staff around who tried to make us feel welcome like Luca, Leo and Valeria so special shoutout to them, but unfortunately didn’t feel always entirely comfortable nor made to feel welcome. The location also is questionable, there are some very poor dilapidated buildings and streets literally around the corner and it was not safe nor suitable for women in their own to venture out in the evening. Fruit was not always fresh at breakfast time and was clearly put out again the next morning or two.”

“Honest review of Kriptiotis Village Resort Overall, I wouldn’t say this hotel is up to a 4-star standard. I imagine that when it was first built, it probably would have been, but it now feels quite dated in places. Kriptiotis Village Hotel is large and set on extensive grounds. The gardens themselves are lovely, with an exotic feel that could easily belong to a 4-star resort. The pools were a big hit with the teenagers, although they also look quite dated and could definitely benefit from some refurbishment. The slides were great fun, though. One of the larger pools, where the statue is located, was green in colour. I’m not sure whether that was intentional or not, but it certainly didn’t look particularly inviting, so needless to say, we didn’t use it! There were always plenty of activities available, including aqua aerobics, darts, boules and water polo, so there was never a shortage of things to do. The rooms are definitely dated and in need of updating. They feel like stepping back into the 1990s, although they were clean. The beds we had were extremely hard and felt like sleeping on a flat wooden surface! Our bed sheets weren’t changed at all during our week-long stay, although the towels were changed once. The food, however, was good. There was always plenty of choice and we never had to wait around for food to be cooked. There was a great variety, including some beautiful salads. For fussy eaters, there was also plenty of the usual beige food such as pizza, chips and nuggets, although we didn’t eat much of that ourselves. Overall, I’d say this is a good hotel, but not an excellent one. The grounds and gardens are probably its biggest strengths, and there’s plenty to keep families and teenagers entertained. With some investment and modernisation, particularly in the rooms, pools and general facilities, it could potentially be a really lovely 4-star resort again.”

“Female 40 years old and 5 year old daughter Positives: access to the beach, good quality food. Hotel would suit adults only holiday Negatives: no kids club and onsite playground even though advertised, kids pool very small. Entertainment aimed at adults or older kids. Room outdated - not a 4 star hotel standard. Ants and cockroaches, when reported to reception- took a note so presume it's a regular complaint.”
