“Terrible transfer from airport to hotel. The dirtiest room I've ever seen ( did eventually get swapped without apology ) and told we were very lucky to be moved. staff were rude and unhelpful, very little communication from the hotel,”

“The hotel that we booked said it was 4 star but I would rate it as 2 star the sunstar beach hotel in Alanya it was very basic and not a lot of choices with the food it was the same every day had to eat out every day and this should not be if you have booked an all inclusive holiday”

“The service from Love Holidays was absolutely brilliant – we had no issues at all with them. Unfortunately, the hotel was a completely different experience, and that was the biggest disappointment of our holiday. Long story short, our whole family became very seriously ill during our stay at this hotel. We had been staying there for three days before we got sick and had not eaten or been anywhere else. Both of our children became violently ill one after another, with severe vomiting. I was desperately looking for help while trying to care for them, but there was no support or cooperation from the hotel staff. One of the adults in our family was later hospitalised with internal bleeding and spent two days in the Emergency Department. Even after that, the hotel showed no compassion. The only help they offered was a free taxi to visit the hospital. There was no apology or concern for what our family was going through. Instead, they tried to blame us. The hotel representative seemed much more interested in protecting the hotel’s reputation than helping guests. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if this review is removed from the website. What should have been a wonderful family holiday turned into a nightmare. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise other families to avoid this hotel. I sincerely hope our experience helps others make an informed decision.”

“Only European country as a destination to visit. Dirty hotel, smelly, poor people. This is not what satisfying me during relaxing holiday. Sorry but never more. Moreover, this is definitely not a 4 starts hotel.”

“Our stay at this resort was deeply distressing, unacceptable, and fell far below any reasonable standard of service and respect. From the outset, we raised a request with resort staff to provide options suitable for English guests in terms of food, music, and entertainment. We were explicitly informed that "English guests are the minority at this resort", and no adjustments or considerations were offered in response to our request. We also experienced serious issues with an organised shopping trip arranged by resort staff. We were charged an extortionate total of £700 for goods, a price we challenged immediately. Only after we questioned this amount were we abruptly offered what was described as a "55% discount", confirming the original charge was unjustifiably inflated. Most upsetting and unacceptable of all was the racial discrimination we faced throughout our stay. As Black guests, we were consistently subjected to hostile stares and treated differently by other residents. On one occasion, a group deliberately played music by Black artists including 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg while staring directly at us, which felt like a deliberate, mocking remark directed at our race. We were also subjected to deeply offensive racial abuse by children at the resort, who repeatedly shouted the highly offensive racial slur "black cunts" at us. This behaviour was never challenged or addressed by resort staff, leaving us feeling unwelcome, unsafe, and deeply distressed for the duration of our stay. This treatment is completely unacceptable and falls well below the legal and ethical standards any guest has a right to expect.”

“Only Mediterranean food served morning - noon - night Absolutely no entertainment what so ever Pool.was a kiddies pool Music in bar area was only german techno. Smokers all round the pool area Hassle from hotel Turkish bath employees daily. Most activities were upto 3 hrs away - each way in a minibus ... actually activities 2.half hrs only. I wish I never went all inclusive drinks were absolutely poor variety.. literally only 1 larger on tap - and no bitter - no cider - you have to pay for English food and cocktails disgraceful”

“Picture of the hotel mis leading. I was not happy that I slept in one hotel (dark, dingy and outdated) but had to eat in another. Couldnt even purchase a drink in the hotel I booked. The windows faced the bedrooms of the Sergio hotel. No nets/voils to offer any privacy and so had to keep the curtain closed. Asked to be moved ro another room and aircon didnt work I expected better. I have tried to upload a photo...and it wont upload”

“Hotel good, though weird smell in bar as you order drinks like sick! found staff either good entertainment & an odd waiter, cleaners fab especially dealing with my illness and customer relations. The others mainly not interested, there weren’t the normal smiles or nice to see you that I’ve had on any other holiday, seemed put out by you being there. sadly got very bad tummy bug could only come from hotel or tour set up by them, in hospital still now so currently 4 days! Missed flight home with my older kids so they had to go alone, sadly missed daughter’s 18th birthday today! Hotel dr and staff good helping with me being ill and also with early birthday treat for daughter but can’t give higher score as I have been violently ill from there. And other issues. Would recommend the quad biking through love holidays rep, not the sunset cruise, ( staff uninterested unless trying to sell you something over n over again, no explaining where we were if we were stopping for swim or any reassurance that the awful sea conditions weren’t going to tip the boat up, and food don’t eat as def no food hygiene certificate there)”

“The walk from the drop-off to the hotel is ridiculous especially in the dark pulling cases. Flea infestation in the bed,rooms not cleaned very well, change of bedding and towels infrequent. On the plus side staff excellent food very good especially breakfasts”

“To be honest, we were so disappointed with the family standard room that we were allocated, the floor in the room was so run down, the bed was close to the floor with two wardrobes without doors, the next door toilet was aligned to the position if one of the kids bed,and whenever they flushed it wqs like they were flushing right from my daughter's bed, very annoying, immediately l requested a move to a different room and wqs told to upgrade which l paid 180 euro. I was upset. I did not have the strength even to take photos, l just went straight to the receiption to express my feelings and they offered an upgrade at an additional charge”

“Hotel isn’t what is advertised. Photos need to represent what people actually get as it shows beauties modern rooms. The food is not acceptable and the choice is limited. Staff are rude and unhelpful We will not return The only good thing was the area”

“Our stay at Arcos Plays wasn’t good, not clean, we would not cook there, no lift 51 steps and we struggled with our case. Staff miserable and unhelpful. Take your own towels as they wouldn’t give us anymore.”

“The staff really made the hotel! They were so welcoming and so friendly. They moved us from seaside to another hotel sunset due to water damage. We was not happy with our room so they gave us the mangers suite. I was very disappointed at moving hotels though as seaside was what we paid for and the hotel was much better! The food was also a let down.”
