“A Stressful Situation Resolved with Persistence and Professionalism We booked our Phuket holiday with Loveholidays around eight months in advance and, with only about a month to go before departure, were informed that our original flights were no longer available. Naturally, this was stressful, particularly as we were travelling with another family and had deliberately arranged our flights so that we could travel together. The initial alternatives offered weren’t particularly attractive. Some involved significant additional payments — at one point around £860, and later £283 — while another option with Air India would have meant arriving substantially later and losing a considerable amount of our holiday time. However, throughout the process, the Loveholidays Flight Changes Team were prompt, polite and professional in their communication. Even when the options being presented weren’t suitable for us, they continued to engage with us and look for alternatives rather than simply leaving us to choose between poor options. Eventually, after I provided the booking reference for the family we were travelling with, the team managed to secure us seats on the same Etihad flights as them, arriving in Phuket in the morning as originally intended — and, importantly, at no additional cost to us. We deliberately waited until after the holiday before leaving this review because we wanted to judge the entire experience, rather than simply how the flight issue was handled. I’m very pleased that we did. From that point onwards, everything went as smoothly as we could possibly have hoped. The flights, transfers and accommodation arrangements all came together without any problems. After all the worry beforehand, there were no unpleasant surprises waiting for us when we travelled. Everything that needed to work simply worked. The transfers were particularly impressive. The vehicles were premium, exceptionally comfortable and immaculately presented, the drivers were courteous and professional, and everything ran exactly to schedule. Our return transfer for our 9am flight was handled particularly well, getting us to Phuket Airport before 6:30am with plenty of time and absolutely no stress. Our stay at Pacific Club Resort was also fantastic. The staff were exceptional — polite, respectful, incredibly attentive and seemingly unable to do enough for us. The manager, Sun, deserves a special mention for the genuinely personal care he showed guests, regularly checking that everyone was happy and comfortable. The resort somehow managed to feel like home, the room was extremely clean and comfortable, and the bed was superb. I was genuinely reluctant to leave and would return without hesitation. Looking back, what began as a very stressful situation actually demonstrated something very positive about Loveholidays. Problems can happen with any travel booking; what matters is how a company responds when they do. In our case, the team persisted until they found a solution that genuinely worked for us, communicated extremely well throughout, and everything thereafter went as smooth as honey. We had a fantastic holiday in Phuket, travelled with our friends as planned, and returned home extremely happy with the overall experience. 9/10 from us. We would happily book with Loveholidays again.”

“Bees bees bees everywhere. All over drink taps. Not allowed to get own drinks around pool. Tiny cups everyone resorted to buying big one from shop. Sun lounger dasher Dawn. Not my cup of tea. Italian restaurant served same food and normal restaurant. Swim socks…. Don’t get me started. Autistic son harassed daily at water park about swim socks had to argue daily and get management to stop the poor child being harassed daily. Can’t say I’d go back.”

“Hotel is decent. Staff are really nice. Evening shows are a bit disappointing could do with a change up. Views of and access to beach are amazing. There is a normal pool away from the water park which is lovely, also a sea salt pool next to the beach with great views of the sunset. Bars are good, food is average.”

“As an anxious traveller, loveholidays allows me to fully relax into my holiday. I can easily double check aspects of my booking on the app as everything is in one place. Searching for holidays is so easy with all the filters and allows us to easily find hotels very close to the beach - a particular favourite of ours! Kouros Palace was the perfect for us as a young couple who look for great food, quality drinks and a beachside location. The staff were so sweet and caring, especially baby and mylene at the pool bar who took such good care of us and made the most delicious Hugo spritz drinks. The food was delicious - house pork was a particular highlight! It was fantastic that you could choose between a beach side restaurant or the buffet. Really helped mix things up as the holiday progressed. The room was tidy and we loved the environmentally conscious choices that the hotel were making such as alternate days for housekeeping (although they would always be available to clean or change towels if you needed them on an off day) and reducing the single use by offering delicious ice cold water to fill your bottles up with. Overall we had the best holiday trip and we look forward to returning!”
