“I have been an ebay seller for years and it's been great. Last year they moved to managed payments having ended their relationship with PayPal. The idea sounds good ie direct payment from eBay not a third party thus saving on PayPal fees. In practice it is terrible. Before funds were available instantly now you wait days to get paid. I reckon many sellers will vote with their feet. It needs fixing to return ebay to the top spot. I did an online chat with them to see if zi can go back to PayPal but of course that is not possible. What was supposed to enhance their service has eroded it.”

Sent a dispute to ebay and got an equally short reply. We won't refund your money...seams ebay are happy that sellers on there website con and defraud people. Still not had any refund from the seller and they are not replying to my emails.”

When eBay account is linked to user Paypal account it provides extra security layer especially if logon username/password are used each for purchase.

“Ebay helps crooks by allowing sellers to hide away negative feedback. I paid for 3 items which I never received and for which seller never answered any messages or emails. Seller did not offer PayPal and so negative feedback is the only defense of good faith buyers and Ebay hides our feedbacks!!”

Double listing - one at inflated price another just below it at lower price to get the buyers thinking they re getting a bargain. Ebay as nowhere near as good for sellers END buyers as it used to be a few years ago. Full of rip off merchants now.”
