“Brought walking sandals for my holiday from eBay ..worn 4 times on holiday only to have them completely fall apart at the seams .
Impossible to wear them after that on my holiday.when returning home asked for a refund and was refused.
Shoddy ebay goods ,shoddy experience of eBay and disgusting eBay customer service .
Will not be using eBay again for anything”
“I have been a power seller on eBay for 17 years. I closed my seller account today. Support is non-existent. You're fobbed off with excuse after excuse. Fees are through the roof, and eBay's attitude is just 'leave if you don't like it.' Well, okay then, I will! LOL”
“From my experience with eBay for many years I can only warn others to be very cautious, if you do use them I strongly advice not buying from a seller using Evri which is hard as eBay push sellers to use Evri. I have now cancelled my eBa and won’t be using eBay again for selling or buying. They have a system where you can no longer talk to anybody. If your parcel is marked as delivered by Evri neither eBay or Evri will help you. It’s a huge scam and could easily be resolved by strict punishment on drivers that are either putting parcels in bins and signing them as delivered to meet the unreasonable work load or they are stealing items. Either way I have zero trust in ebay and have found there customer support atrocious!!! BE WARNED THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU WITH MONEY BACK GUARANTEE IF MARKED DELIVERED”
“Refunded customer when item was delivered left me out of pocket I don’t have the product I sold or the funds to show for it I’ve been selling for over 4 years but will be closing my account and moving to another platform”
“ebay is a fantastic shopping Web site. Everything you want, you will find it right here. Ebay is am amazing WEBSITE LOVE IT. Would recomend to everyone :).”
“I'm a buyer from nine year ago and seller rate me and congratulate anytime from the item I order to them for fast payments and honest inputs, I order always the right item we need without returning even one items to the seller!
Well, the story were very nice once it start 2 years ago, I order fuel nozzle for engines from a UK Company, EBAY send me a letter that I should paying VAT taxes in UK for goods exported in Switzerland, I keep the letter and when I received the parcel I should to pay more VAT taxes from Switzerland, so I paid double taxes, one in UK and one in Switzerland, EBAY representative told me, it's the rule of the UK government, so, I start to investigate toward the seller and I search by the administrator of the company into the UK government, I do a copy of the fake name of this seller, and we found the right name with UK registration, UK government reply me this company bankrupt few years ago but they are using their company name for selling goods in violation of the UK government, so, I decide to enquiry about the people were using the administration name of this company, the administrator were resign few years ago, in fact some employee were using the administrator name who resign as a bypass business out of UK VAT legislation!
I return the information toward EBAY.UK representative without any answer! Finally, I don't know how EBAY check the reliability of their seller!
Moreover, not so long ago, I order an hydraulic fluid from an Aircraft Suppliers in US Texas, they said the delivery take about two weeks, I received the order after 1 month and 12 days, I received the parcel after 1 month and 14 days, so, when I check the customs post stamp in Texas and the customs post stamp in Germany! the parcel standby during a month in EBAY German distributor, they were keeping this item in EBAY Germany during a month!!!!
When, I received a feedback from the seller, the seller were honest and he told me exactly the date he sent the parcel, I check on the stamp, it was right, The seller send it on time, so, after all of these trouble, I delete my account in EBAY! I don't rely any representative and agent from EBAY in UK and in Germany anymore.”
“After I shipped the item to the buyer and they received it Ebay has suspended my ebay account and demanded that I provide them with my photo id, my power and water bill etc etc and refused to pay me the money that belongs to me. Their clever ways of stealing money funds from sellers and collecting sensitive personal data earn ebay a reputation of a thief and a criminal con artist.”
“bobbinel has scammed multiple people and had negative reviews removed when they warn people, selling things that do not work and items not as described because described as working, this is known as unfair business practice and all users with their negative reviews should have their reviews reinstated to help the community, for it's unfair on honest ebayers like me who have been on eBay for a decade, so I request all of their refunds too, by the eBay money back guarantee”
“I am a seller with 14 years' impeccable selling history. Today they have said they will not remove feedback from an eBayer who has lied and written libellous words about my honesty. As my views and integrity no longer align with those of eBay i have requested to close my account immediately. They are shameless, claiming that lying and lodging detrimental fictional comments about an honest seller does not violate its feedback policy. It beggars belief. It is entirely their loss - they will no longer be taking mega fees from me.”
“I've had my Ebay account for years and have bought thousands of items and sold some. From the very start, it became clear that in disputes, Ebay tended to side with sellers. After all that's where their commission comes from. This situation has progressively got worse. Most recently, Royal Mail Tracking recorded that I had received an item that I had not received. There is a long standing tried and tested process, for the sender, who has the Contract with Royal Mail, to claim compensation for items that go missing. However, Ebay, ignore all of this and put the emphasis on the buyer, that has no Contract with Royal Mail and therefore can ask nothing of them. Ebay have twice demanded that I supply them with a "Certificate of Non Delivery" from Royal Mail. Royal Mail do not and never have issued Certificates of Non Delivery. I have given Ebay a copy of an email from Royal Mail which states this AND makes it clear that it is for the sender (seller) to make a claim for the lost item. Ebay should by now know this. An EBay Agent then claimed to be an 'Expert' on Items Not Delivered and Resolver. - He claimed that everyone has a right to a 'Certificate of Non-Delivery' from any courier, and that I should raise a Resolver Case against Royal Mail to obtain that certificate. - Resolver do not deal with Royal Mail. There is no indication anywhere on the internet that anybody is entitled to a certificate of non delivery! I have notified EBay that their 'expert' is wrong, providing a screen shot stating that Resolver do not deal with Royal Mail. I have also provided EBay with a copy of Royal Mail's webpage and Citizen's Advice webpage, both of which clearly state that in the case of non-delivery, it for the sender (EBay seller) to claim against the courier (Royal Mail). EBay have apologised for the wrong advice given by their 'expert' and have now shut my claim for a refund without reason! Ebay clearly make my refund claiming for a refund, impossible, even lying and giving factually wrong information, when it would be simple for the seller to make a claim against Royal Mail? Probably because they know that sellers will use the cheapest method of delivery available and won't be covered to the value of the items sent. - Not a buyer's problem! I have been buying less and less on Ebay for this very reason and Because Amazon are a delight to deal with if something goes wrong. This is the first time that I have bothered to search for reviews of Ebay. Am I shocked at the score? Not at all. It may be the Sellers that pay Ebay the commission, but without Buyer's, Ebay will have no business. Well done Ebay, you are destroying your own business! The item concerned was £6.95. I am closing my EBay account having been a member since 2006. This will cost them more than the £6.95 they owe me!

“I have been using ebay for over 20 years.
The new management is not trustworthy. They are just collecting data to sell.
I sold something and they said they would not pay out unless I gave them my driving licence details. I did this, and they then asked for my passport... This is on top of wanting bank account details just to list something...
Crooks! I need to buy and sell somewhere safer...”
“Awful service. Awful customer service. Unable to log in as account suspended, hence trying to contact by phone. Only option is ONLINE HELP... WHICH I CAN'T ACCESS DUE TO GETTING SUSPENDED! STOP SENDING ME EMAILS AND REMOVE MY ACCOUNT!”
“Just when I thought ebay will leave me hanging, this morning the promptly paid me a refund in full for the unauthenticated apple ear phones I was sold by an online seller. Thankyou Mr Ebay.”
“Ebay has a commendable policy: "We don't allow counterfeit items or unauthorised copies to be listed on eBay. Items sold using a brand name or a brand logo must be original and made by the brand or manufactured on their behalf". Except the seller on eBay can sell anything without ever taking back returns - as per policy. And I ended up recieving a fake product from this seller but advertised as a recognised famous brand on ebay. At that point neither seller nor ebay wanted any further responsibility for my loss!!”
“ebay doesnt remove the obvious defects…
Now ebay dont remove the obvious defects deliberately so that they dont have to give the discount to the sellers. I have been with ebay for over 12 years and now I am getting frustrated and its time to look for other market places. We are the ones who pay them and they are now telling us what to do, if you dont rethink about your strategy sellers will leave. There are a lot of seller not happy.
