Not impressed with eBay. Sold a few items - items delivered via their parcel label. Confirmed acceptance positive feedback . Yet again funds not released for three weeks !!! . No recourse for address. Other sites far better service to sell on. M

I have closed my account after many years. Customer service is none existent. eBay still thinks it's 2001 and keep telling you to use your desk top PC. It's 2023 we live In world were the mobile is king. I've had enough. And their new security is a complete joke. List an item. Get a security code text. Make a change. Send another text. And another and another. I'll e using free sites from now on. eBay has had it's day.

Counterfeit items, no protection or refund. I purchased two books of stamps on eBay, 6 weeks later I was informed by the Royal Mail that they were counterfeit. I reported them to eBay 6 times before they removed the listings. However they have refused to issue a refund because it's outside of the 30 day money back guarantee. It is eBay's responsibility to make their selling platform a safe place for buyers. They have failed once again.

I sold an item, parcel got lost. Provided the tracking and everything but they closed the dispute unilaterally saying the tracking number was incorrect (false, I had all the documents and stickers). Further, they asked me to refund the full amount of the sell, not only the amount that I received from them: basically, they earned anyway their fee, despite the failed delivery was not my fault. On my side, I lost the item twice: the physical one and its value. They never allowed a discussion on this as they closed the dispute unilaterally. This multinational is not only unfair to honest sellers that trump on real issues with the deliveries, but it is also full of real scummers: I had a fair amount of fake products there. I’ll never ever either buy or sell anything else on this terrible website: there are many more respectable and also sustainable online platforms. Happy to see that their loosing about 9% of buyers and sellers /year, although I fear some of them left after being tricked either by scammers or by the company itself.

Ebay is broken... I had a 7 day auction on a bike. Recieved 2 bids from 2 buyer 6 hours apart. How does that happen. Ebay said it was a GLITCH. A fundamental part of an auction is that bids only increase... they cannot be the same or less.... Good news is they said tech would look into it and contact me 5 to 7 days later... absolutely useless... the auction would be ended by then. They gave me know answers as to what will they do it their is two winning bidders ,? How can they allow this huge flaw to exist in the system... what else is wrong with Ebay... I shudder to think... especially around privacy.

Their help is no help because the choices for what you need help with is confined to what they choose to help with not what the costumer needs help with. Which is stupid.

I bought an item from the eBay seller penelope55223 but she did not put sufficient postage on the item (despite me paying for a parcel), so the Royal Mail charged me a fine, after I paid it, otherwise I would not have gotten the item, the item that arrived was fake. I contacted eBay about it and was assured that they would help me to get this too by an eBay representative. The case was closed, I got the initial payment to the seller back, returned to chat to ask them to help me with the fine, as I was told they would and all of a sudden they said they do not do that, even when I showed them that somebody from eBay had assured me they would. Never trust anything they promise you, as they seem to be in the habit of lying

Feedback and abusive buyer policy updates EBay have updated there feedback and returns process and there are a few things to be aware of . Feedback. EBay’s feedback system scores do not reflect the actual sellers integrity or performance. The seller not have the ability to get any negative or neutral feedback removed with one simple phone call. ( amazons feedback system does not allow for the remove all of given feedback, and seems a more genuine experience) If a seller doesn’t like what’s been written, this is now easily removed, as is the neutral to negative feedback options. When you now look at a sellers feedback, it now doesn’t mean anything. Returns policy. If you have more than 2 returns a year, you are considered and abusive buyer and a new policy has been introduced called “the abusive buyer policy” EBay have a money back guarantee, but, they don’t want you to use it. If you make 10 purchases and have to return over 2, for any legitimate reason, you will track on there system. They will then send you an email saying you are an abusive buyer. If you buy 10 more things and again have a legitimate reason to return an item ( damaged in the post etc), EBay will close your account with no chance of appeal. Amazons offering is completely different, quibble free returns, genuine feedback, EBay buyers and sellers now need to be aware .

Ebay user sey_5071 bought my vintage China coffee set and asked me to post to Turkey! I did and sent it tracked. They said the item wasn't as described. It was as described. Even ebay when I rang them said the case was go for me and I would win. Did not happen got lied to by ebay. Now this person has been refunded and guess what I have lost £60 and the items I sent to this person. Totally scammed and not a thing I can do about it!

Very bad experience with eBay since they don't use PayPal. Basically, eBay deleted my account because I received a scam message. I don't reply to this scam but they assumed that I was part of it. I used eBay for 6 years and never had any problems. Impossible to resolve the problem. They asked me to pay fees too. Wtf! Avoid eBay, it's not anymore trustful!
