“I am a seller with 14 years' impeccable selling history. Today they have said they will not remove feedback from an eBayer who has lied and written libellous words about my honesty. As my views and integrity no longer align with those of eBay i have requested to close my account immediately. They are shameless, claiming that lying and lodging detrimental fictional comments about an honest seller does not violate its feedback policy. It beggars belief. It is entirely their loss - they will no longer be taking mega fees from me.”
“I've had my Ebay account for years and have bought thousands of items and sold some. From the very start, it became clear that in disputes, Ebay tended to side with sellers. After all that's where their commission comes from. This situation has progressively got worse. Most recently, Royal Mail Tracking recorded that I had received an item that I had not received. There is a long standing tried and tested process, for the sender, who has the Contract with Royal Mail, to claim compensation for items that go missing. However, Ebay, ignore all of this and put the emphasis on the buyer, that has no Contract with Royal Mail and therefore can ask nothing of them. Ebay have twice demanded that I supply them with a "Certificate of Non Delivery" from Royal Mail. Royal Mail do not and never have issued Certificates of Non Delivery. I have given Ebay a copy of an email from Royal Mail which states this AND makes it clear that it is for the sender (seller) to make a claim for the lost item. Ebay should by now know this. An EBay Agent then claimed to be an 'Expert' on Items Not Delivered and Resolver. - He claimed that everyone has a right to a 'Certificate of Non-Delivery' from any courier, and that I should raise a Resolver Case against Royal Mail to obtain that certificate. - Resolver do not deal with Royal Mail. There is no indication anywhere on the internet that anybody is entitled to a certificate of non delivery! I have notified EBay that their 'expert' is wrong, providing a screen shot stating that Resolver do not deal with Royal Mail. I have also provided EBay with a copy of Royal Mail's webpage and Citizen's Advice webpage, both of which clearly state that in the case of non-delivery, it for the sender (EBay seller) to claim against the courier (Royal Mail). EBay have apologised for the wrong advice given by their 'expert' and have now shut my claim for a refund without reason! Ebay clearly make my refund claiming for a refund, impossible, even lying and giving factually wrong information, when it would be simple for the seller to make a claim against Royal Mail? Probably because they know that sellers will use the cheapest method of delivery available and won't be covered to the value of the items sent. - Not a buyer's problem! I have been buying less and less on Ebay for this very reason and Because Amazon are a delight to deal with if something goes wrong. This is the first time that I have bothered to search for reviews of Ebay. Am I shocked at the score? Not at all. It may be the Sellers that pay Ebay the commission, but without Buyer's, Ebay will have no business. Well done Ebay, you are destroying your own business! The item concerned was £6.95. I am closing my EBay account having been a member since 2006. This will cost them more than the £6.95 they owe me!

“I have been using ebay for over 20 years.
The new management is not trustworthy. They are just collecting data to sell.
I sold something and they said they would not pay out unless I gave them my driving licence details. I did this, and they then asked for my passport... This is on top of wanting bank account details just to list something...
Crooks! I need to buy and sell somewhere safer...”
“Awful service. Awful customer service. Unable to log in as account suspended, hence trying to contact by phone. Only option is ONLINE HELP... WHICH I CAN'T ACCESS DUE TO GETTING SUSPENDED! STOP SENDING ME EMAILS AND REMOVE MY ACCOUNT!”
“Ebay has a commendable policy: "We don't allow counterfeit items or unauthorised copies to be listed on eBay. Items sold using a brand name or a brand logo must be original and made by the brand or manufactured on their behalf". Except the seller on eBay can sell anything without ever taking back returns - as per policy. And I ended up recieving a fake product from this seller but advertised as a recognised famous brand on ebay. At that point neither seller nor ebay wanted any further responsibility for my loss!!”
“ebay doesnt remove the obvious defects…
Now ebay dont remove the obvious defects deliberately so that they dont have to give the discount to the sellers. I have been with ebay for over 12 years and now I am getting frustrated and its time to look for other market places. We are the ones who pay them and they are now telling us what to do, if you dont rethink about your strategy sellers will leave. There are a lot of seller not happy.

“This site gets worse by the year. I first started using it 19 years ago now it is worse than ever. Firstly they warn you that your account will be limited if you don't sell more items (like I'm not trying to!) And worse still recently I have a voucher to use, I applied it to my checkout but at the time didn't complete the transaction since then even though the code is valid I can't use it because of an "I.T error" the "I.T department" are supposed to have got back to me within "24 hours" having chased it up again with customer services I was told 48 hours later let's just say two weeks later and nothing. Poor customer services although they keep thanking me for being a member for 19 years. A thankless auction site if you ask me. Customer services do not even help you correct issues that stop you from purchasing on the site. Charming service from a site you have been a member of for such a long time. Avoid with a bargepole!”
“e bay is rubbish does not look after its sellers at all gone from above average to below av
erage in 6 months still se;ing the same things when i was above average”
“Ebay does not follow their own Seller's Protection Rules
I have had and ebay account since 2019
I have had one bad client buying an item from me and return the box empty.
I have claimed that to Ebay support and had to fill up the affidavit and sign it and send it back in the same day.
After Few days they inform me that they refund the client because i did not open any case.
Upon my reply they apologies they didn't see my claim and affidavit. They are simply saying that is one of their colleague's fault but they still won't refund me - according to their Seller's protection rules.
Seems like Ebay is not even trying to compete with other platforms and stay in the game.
I don't see a future for this platform anymore.”
“Ebay is avery greedy company who will take £15 of a £50 sale. The control what you sell and if a buyer says they didn't receive it or its damaged they will give a refund before any item is returned.
Many buyers are theives so be very carefull as a seller ebay doesn't care about you.
As a buyer the will help but with AI contact is poor. Best to avoid ebay.”
“No one with any sense uses EBay, fees are disgusting and you have ZERO protection if you sell. Look at every feedback forum on this company with thousands of people telling you of their experiences. Not Fit For Purpose”
“Sold a Ps4 on ebay only to find the account suspended with funds held on account, for no reason. Item was dispatched and received by buyer. Everything ok. This is a scam! Their systems don’t work, they charge huge fees and then hold your money for weeks. NEVER AGAIN!”
“I sold an item for £60 through the global shipping programme. I posted it using tracked mail to the Global Shipping Programme address in the UK. At this point, I had done my part. From the GSP centre, it's eBay's job to get the parcel to the buyer. But the buyer had given eBay the wrong address, so they didn't receive their parcel and put in a claim for it. eBay then refunded the buyer at my expense - so I now have no parcel and am £60 out of pocket. They've told me twice now that the parcel has been returned to me, but it hasn't. They've given me a tracking number with Evri which also shows the item has been delivered back to me but neither eBay or Evri can supply me with proof of delivery.”
“Customer service is full of people who hate themselves thats why they talk to customers like we are nobody . Ebay is just big scammer site nothing more to say”
“22+ Years of possitive feedback built up on eBay can be destroyed by one false claim and a false feedback review. Ebay is encouraging sculduggery and false claims. Their review team needs reviewing!!!”
