“My partner has cancelled her order after the 4th time of the driver dropping the milk over the wall!! Milk all over the yard again! Absolutely appalling! Rang up to cancel , greeted by a lovely man who then turned quite pushy at her to continue with the order! After declaring she still wanted to cancel he then hung up the phone! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!”

“As a new customer arranged first delivery for 10th may - however the night before my wife arrived home with a bottle of milk - in view of the late hour we put a note on our door stating we did not require any milk that week - fortunately no milk was left. The next week the mk was delivered late on Monday night ( our neighbour witnessed the delivery van pulling into our estate at high speed) as a result the milk had been left outside for the whole night - it was a warm night!!! I was contacted the following day and elected to cancel the delivery as I was disappointed with the service. I was angry that I was charged for milk ok had not received on the previous week - being told that delivery drivers would not comply with written requests and that therefore we MUST have received milk - no effort was made to contact the driver to confirm whether they had delivered - I cannot recommend this company to anyone - however if u still want to use them - make sure u are not overcharged for milk that u have not actually received!!!!”

“It's 1.30 and the driver has just screamed through the gears of the truck on the way to my neighbour which woke me and now and theyve turned round and reached 3rd gear after only 5 houses as they sped out the a cul de sac that I live. Absolutely no need for the speed and making complaints direct to the depot in Edinburgh makes no difference cos we've got fed up doing. Who gets milk delivered at 1.30 am anyway?”

“On the 19th May, 2 of your staff were swopping milk cartons between vehicles and chatting very loudly on Winchester avenue at 5am!! right outside our houses, they could have done that on a quiet road! They've lost mine and my neighbours business.”

“Cold call salesman was ok, got 2 deliveries which suited me fine and decided to order more. Promised follow up communication never arrive until 2 mths later I received a final demand for £6.80!!!! I phoned them and spoke to dopey Claire in Credit Control who didn't believe I'd not been contacted previously!! I wasn't going to deal with this incompetent bunch anymore and told her to cancel and I was going to settle balance that day 25.3.2022, which I did. May 14th.. just received further demand for £6.80 and threatening action from Debt Collection agency. I shall not be communicating further with this shower of incompetents ....AVOID dealing with this bunch of crooked shysters!!”

“I tried to cancel my milk and eggs and was passed onto their cancellation department where I was bombarded by a very aggressive woman. She kept trying to tell me what I should order instead of cancelling. I tried to get through to her that my circumstances have changed and that the milk goes off before it can be used. She would not listened and continued to bully me. I have never been subjected to an onslaught like this from any company and this lady really needs to be challenged about her style and how she deals with customers. She knows nothing of my circumstances and yet she was aggressive and unpleasant to the end. Until this I was pleased with service from Mcqueens but this was really outrageous and a dreadful way to do business. I can understand that you don’t want to lose customers but this is no way to keep them.”

“Disgusting you spend 20 minutes on the phone giving legitimate reasons for cancelling your account, they ignore it, continue to deliver milk and then hound you for money even though you constantly tell them you do not want it. Cheap way of forcing people to pay.”

“I agreed to receive two bottles of milk as a trial. I then received numerous telephone calls and texts trying to persuade me to sign up to a direct debit. Paid for the trial and phoned McQueens to cancel any further deliveries. Staff were argumentative and told me that I owed more money even though I had paid the full amount I had been quoted (and have in writing!) McQueens tell me they will be chasing me through their debt collection department. Avoid this company!!”

“I wasn’t particularly interested in receiving milk but salesman was quite pushy and said the first bottle is a free trial and to see how you get on. I decided it wasn’t for me and was bombarded with texts. After they phoned me and I said I want to cancel, they used passive aggressive comments to try make me reconsider I was told I have to pay for the “free” bottle £1.01. Wouldn’t recommend.”

“Got 2x2 pints as a trial, I never set up a order account or bank account, left messages on my gate " no more milk " delivered without consent another 3 times, even with note on gate, got a bill by phone, paid it for want of no arguments, told delivery guy NO more !!!, just now got a bill for what I paid for end of march !!!!”

“I can only echo what has already been said. Negatives - Door to door sales - Constant calls to try this and to try that - which is never free - Overpriced. 3 pints of orange and 6 eggs for £6.80 or so a week. At a supermarket, this would be ~£3 - Orange juice always tasted a bit weird - Poor quality eggs. For some reason the yolks would always break - Milk was delivered in plastic containers - Not a local company - Did I mention it was expensive? Positives - AVOID!!!!!!”

“My children stoped taking the milk so decided to cancel . I rang to cancel and this sales man was talking me into taking one instead of 2 . After insisting I wanted to cancel. He was just not listening. I managed to get home cancel and he took final payment. ( I wasn’t getting y but i didn’t mind as long as I was cancelled for anymore delivery. I was informed it is cancelled. No the next week milk is delivered money goes out again. This continued for like 3weeks . I had to give some of the milk out and kept the others in my freezer. I was now very on happy and cancelled it fired from the bank. I am now constantly receiving emails that I owe £2. 19. From an unmonitored number. I regret joining them now..”

“These salesmen of theirs are so desperate and rude. Got conned by them when living at another address under the 'free milk trial'. Just moved address to find yet another one of their salesman knock on our door not once, bit twice in one evening after I closed the door the first time. No means no. Not , no but I'll try again later !”

“My review is pretty much the same as 99% of them on here. Cold call door salesmen offering me a free trial of the milk (it was not free), told they were a local company (they are not a local company) - not the door to door salesmen were very nice, friendly and approachable, however I suspect they are told to tell all these lies about the company and product as part of their training. I stuck with them for a couple of months, but my milk started arriving already spoiled by the next morning and the orange juice was sour, these certainly hadn't been refrigerated for quite some time, then the straw that broke the cammels back was when my delivery never arrived at all the next time, I had had enough of poor quality products and undelivered products. I attempted to cancel but never managed to get through to anyone on the phone, I emailed to explain and received a response ignoring all my raising concerns and instead told me to call the cancellation number which I had already previously been calling. I decided to cancel the direct debit instead, I wasn't going to pay another penny to this shambles of a company. Then the threatening emails and text messages stared threatening to use debt collectors if I don't pay them £12.44 immediately (how they think I owe them £12.44 for 1 pint of milk and 2 pints of orange juice which never arrived is beyond me). I called them up again to explain they wouldn't be getting a penny from me, received a load of abuse, and simply told the woman on the phone that I have a better chance of being blown by Jesus than she did of getting any money off me. In the end I reported them to both trading standards for a number of consumer rights violations, and to the HSE for repeatedly providing spoiled dairy products to the public.”

“DON’T BE FOOLED BY FREE TRAIL OFFER…offered a free trial for one week by two members of staff. One being the boy at the door and another a man on the phone. Once we tried the milk we made a decision it were cheaper for us to go to our local shop so we asked to cancel. We was then told we would have to pay for the free trail milk we got. SCAMMERS AND RUDE. The woman on the phone should be milking the cows because her customer service is diabolical…STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY”
