“Not pleased - the tags are SOLD showing one side is the red medical icon, and YET showed up as a smaller sticker? I have several health challenges and would only HOPE a medic actually notices.”

Hi Charles, Thanks for your feedback. The red caduceus medical icon is indeed offered as an add-on dogtag shaped sticker that is applied to the back of a dogtag. This essentially allows you to turn any dogtag into a medical tag. Could you please provide more details about what you were expecting?

“These are fantastic!! My wife’s uncle was a medic during the Korean War. He was killed in 1950 having never married, so we wanted to honor his memory so we named our son after him. I wanted a set of tags with his information and name as he would have been issued, and I was NOT disappointed!! Thank you so much!!”

“The details of the dog tags are all correct however the size of each character is so small that they are impossible to read. If I did not know the data it would be very difficult to decipher. I'm sure that the font was larger on the dog tags that were issued to me in 1953. David Woelke US56196619”

Hi David, thanks for your review and your military service. The size of the characters on dogtags has remained virtually the same from WWII to modern times, with the only change being a switch from debossed to embossed letters. As you can imagine, If the letters were any bigger all of your information would not actually fit onto the tags. That said, modern EMBOSSED tags are much easier to read than the DEBOSSED tags. “These tags are really high quality! The real bonus is that you can order the tags so that they attach directly on to the back of the collar with studs. I have two young Golden Retrievers that are constantly biting at each others collars and have lost two sets of tags that I got at PetValue. The only small complaint I have ( :-) ) is that I wish I had heard of the company before as I have gone through a lot of lost tags and tags that after a year simply wear out and have to be replaced.”
