Hi Terry, thanks for your feedback and your military service. The tags well sell meet the size specifications as per military regulations which have not changed much in 80 years, although the orientation of tags has changed depending on branch and era. We do indeed offer tags in dull, shiny, and semi gloss to match your original tags. Different branches and bases would issue different tags depending on what was available at the time. If you have a photo of your original tags we can match them exactly.

“My father lost his dog tags in Germany in April 1945. He never had them replaced. I would search several military sites that listed American dog tags found around the world. His tags never showed up on these sites. While conducting another search I came across, My DOGTAG.com, I figured a replica was better than nothing.
