I wish I was able to give 0 stars as that is what they are worth. I always seem to have a problem with Hermes. If I had an option to choose who delivers my parcel I would NEVER choose Hermes. I never seem to have an issue with DPD but every time I get anything delivered by Hermes they always seem to have an issue with my address but somehow seem to find ok the next day. funny how loads of the other reviews are have the same issue! Not sure why we pay for next day delivery if they can't keep their promises. Absolutely appalling service - I would try to avoid it if I had the option.

Paid for next day delivery and didn't even inform me there was a delay in shipping, so my items did not arrive. Tried to deliver the next day, left a BLANK "sorry we missed you card" even though I'd asked them to leave it in the safe place, the porch. (There was already 3 parcels for other flats here, so why couldn't they leave it??) It's no surprise you can't directly contact them, only a robot. Tried to deliver AGAIN today despite me already contacting the company I bought from, saying I no longer need the items as its too late! The company had recalled them, yet they are still attempting to deliver! What a joke. I can assure you, I will be checking, and I urge you to do so too, if the company I'm buying from uses Hermes and I will NOT be purchasing anything from them. What's the point if it never arrives on time??

From now on I will be asking. If the company I am buying from do you use Hermes to deliver and if so I shall not be ordering. They are a complete nightmare. Never delivered to the right door. It's always a game of hide and seek. Twice I had parcels Delivered by them. Twice, They went to the wrong door. One of which was a mile away.

Too many to list, but last one but one Xmas Eve. No parcel. Driver took a picture 15 yds. back from wrong block of flats, you couldn't see name or number, claiming to have rung intercom on mine. I was in. Missed some Xmas things. Obviously I hadn't left everything to last minute, though. Then brought me 2 parcels few weeks later insisting both were mine. I signed as I didn't have reading glasses on. 1 not mine. Managed to phone them, two days later they hadnt called to collect as promised. I had to call the sender who arranged for lady to collect. 2 days of hassle. Oh. I forgot today's fiasco. 'we couldn't deliver yesterday as a delay, we'll try tomorrow. Then another message. 'you didn't answer'. I was in. Had to call company and complain. Hope it's coming today. BTW, my phone no. was on the Xmas box. Couldn't be bothered to call, but why would they. Took photo from roadside and peed off.

1. Claim that you need to “take action” when a delivery fails and don’t give you an opportunity to speak to a real person on the phone: just a message telling you to contact the sender. 2. Online robot that tells you there’s something wrong (I know that, but what?) and point blank refuses any more assistance. 3. Makes you worry with an address on emails as your name two times followed by your flat number. 4. Claim not to be able to gain access to your flat, even though you’re standing there at the time and see no van, there’s a wedge in the tower block’s entryway and the lifts work. 5. Say they’ll turn up at night after two bogus daytime attempts and add insult to injury by claiming they can’t get access again. So you have to be psychic AND permanently housebound AND mobile enough to go seven stories down to meet him with a ten minute warning AND have your own smartphone AND be constantly looking at your emails. 6. Miss a day - violating the sender’s contract - then claim to turn up the next day: dropping your package off with an individual named E Farquhar who isn’t a concierge (your alternative drop-off) and doesn’t even live at your flats. 7. Drivers are nasty s***s who knew fine well they were taking on a piece work contract but could have used their driving licences for anything. When they do feel like delivering something (something light), they leave it in an unsafe place like a corridor. 8. Put you out with wasted time, worry, the pain of having to explore consumer rights channels and a general feeling of misanthropy and mistrust of humanity. 9. Should be embarrassed and humiliated in a sweeping, nationwide exposure campaign. Then we should collectively sue them out of existence. Then we should trap all their suits in their headquarters, lock all the doors and windows, set fire to it and watch them die a slow, horrible, agonising death whilst laughing heartily and eating popcorn. Then we should round up all their drivers and execute them in front of their families. And laugh heartily as they cry. 10. Really cannot say enough bad things about them.

1. They ask you to “take action” when a delivery fails, but give no chance to talk to a live person: only a message that asks you to contact the sender. 2. Online robot tells you something went wrong (I know that, but what) and point blank refuses any more assistance. 3. Claim not to gain access to the tower block you live in even though you’re standing right there and see no van, there’s a wedge holding the entry open and the lifts work. 4. After two bogus attempts, they try to come at night for a mysterious reason and on top of that, add insult to injury by claiming they couldn’t get access to the building. So you have to be psychic AND permanently housebound AND mobile enough to get seven stories down to the entry way in ten minutes AND have your own smartphone AND be constantly looking at your emails. 5. Miss a day - violating the contract - then deliver the package the next day to someone who doesn’t work for the concierge (your alternative destination) and doesn’t even live at the flats. 6. Of the few times they deliver something they feel like (something light), they leave in a very unsafe place like a corridor. 7. Horrible drivers who knew fine well they were taking on a piecework contract and have the choice to use their driving licences for anything else, but choose to act like s***s. 8. We all know who the real criminals are.

Two parcels sent back by Hermes to the senders after 2 so called attempts at delivery. The first said the driver couldn’t get to our address, the second time he had had the parcels refused to be taken in, yet my husband was in and no one either knocked on the door or rang the doorbell. I thought they had to try to deliver a parcel three times but obviously this doesn’t actually happen. They never put a card through the door either. And the company is useless, no way of contacting them apart from the online robot and that is useless.

Where to begin with Hermes.. Incapable, unaccountable morons to say the least. Over the course of the last few years I have had numerous parcels 'lost in the system'. Whenever I see a seller on ebay who uses Hermes as a courier I immediately look elsewhere. As a seller myself, I made the foolish mistake of using them to deliver a parcel to Bath. This wasn't a small parcel might I add, it was a 3ft by 2ft package containing high end recording studio monitors. Without any prior knowledge of the reliability of Hermes I used them. Problem after problem ensued. Apparently it's extremely easy for a 3ft package to become 'lost in the system'. Thank god I took out insurance! It's most definitely needed with this complete turd of a company. You can see why they dont have a dedicated customer service telephone number, they'd never be allowed to leave the office.

I have had many bad experiences with Hermes in the past 2 months of so! First in December ordered from Boohoo, apparently they tried delivering my item 3 times. Lucky for me i have a nosy neighbour who told me the guy didnt even get out of the van!! Next time I ordered something from JD Sports, usually don't have a problem. They again apparently put a pair of trainers through my letterbox! UNLIKELY. Called JD who were so helpful and refunded me. After 7 days they called to say they had received my item back?? How if it had been delivered? So today. I treated myself to a new pair of GHD's. Realised this morning Hermes would deliver it. GREAT!! Not. I asked my partner to sit downstairs in the time period they gave me. He heard the door knock. By the time he got to the door (5 steps maybe) the guy was already putting a card in the door to say they'd missed us!!!! 5 steps it takes from our sofa to the front door

Very poor customer service. I have now spoken to three agents on their web chat, each time it felt like I was lied to get me to go away. They still went ahead and delivered a package to an address I don't live at after assuring me it would only be delivered if I signed for it. Also if you try and give them feedback the online form breaks. Avoid at all costs, but it's unfortunately often not possible

I had to click on one star, it should have been none. Driver puts a card through the letter box when everyone is at work, same as him. No details to contact, hermes are impossible to contact. Like all Internet delivery companies they are hopeless. Will we ever see our parcel, who knows!!!

Absolutely dreadful service. It was originally scheduled for afternoon of 16th January but it did not arrive & at 20:56 hours I noted on the tracking that it had been delayed & rescheduled for next day 17th Jan between 9am & 11am. No sign of courier & at 11.20am the tracking showed that a delivery attempt was made at 11.20am but this is untrue as I was sitting looking out at the drive waiting for the courier at that time and I definitely did not have an attempted delivery. I had a chat with Hermes Assistant who advised that the courier was unable to gain access as he did not have an access code & do I have a buzzer !!! The property is detached in a large drive & not a flat or restricted access property - all courier had to do was drive in & ring door bell. I would have seen him had he have driven into drive as I was sitting here looking out!! I was then advised that it would be delivered on 18th. Surprise surprise - parcel delivered & just left on door step with no signature!! This is totally unacceptable as I have had to take 3 days off work waiting in for this. Avoid them if you can .

I run a small ebay business and have shipped 40+ packages through Hermes using their parcel shop. At first i was a fan as the shops include everything you need to quickly ship and item. I started to notice a trend with Hermes where the item would reach the depot and not be scanned and just be left in a limbo state ( on at least 8 of them) . And i have had at least 3 cases where the packing has been ripped open and the contents stolen and still been attempted to be delivered to the customer or returned to myself. They may be the cheapest but they have clearly cut costs to be competitive including their bordering non existent customer service, Quality staffing and package management. I have been Left hundreds of pounds out of pocket and have had lasting damage to my seller rating. Avoid this courier like your livelihood depends on it because it has lost me mine.

Stopped buying from QVC due to problems with Hermes. Unfortunately, I've had to order a replacement item which is under guarantee and guess what, Hermes. Delivery was to be last night between 5 and 9. At 8.45 email to say my parcel had been delivered. Not to me it hasn't. Tried to find out who has it like neighbour or where on the map. It was not completed, tried the customer care robot. Useless. Got email today at 3.30 to say again my parcel will be here between 5pm and 9pm. I'm getting excited. It's 4.30.
